Microsoft Flight Simulator (2020/2024)

Hi everyone, I'm looking for something bigger than the 310R but smaller than an actual airliner. The two that look interesting to me are the BN2 Islander and the Cessna 414, with an edge towards the Islander because it just looks very unique. That said, I'll generally always go with the superior simulation. Is one far ahead of the other? Most of the reviews of the Islander are positive but it looks like it received a significant 2.0 update that changed a huge amount. What are people's thoughts on it? Does it include things like wear and tear and the potential for failure like the 310R or Black box simulations? Thanks :)

Since the hardware seems to be sending the correct data, this looks to me like this is a software issue. I noticed a couple of times that control data from my yoke doesnt get picked up correctly by FS2020, but before it were glitches, only now the ailerons seem stuck. When I move left or right, the yoke in the cockpit doesnt respond at all, while it responds perfectly fine to pitch input (also buttons on the yoke work fine), only when I turn the yoke close to max, the aircraft jerks onto a steep bank. just received a msfs upadate <500MB which screwed up all my settings, again. This time even custom set camera views inside the fenix. So I have to do all the annoying trouble again. lol

I´ll will wait for some reviews before I'll take the plunge, but it surely looks nice. I own Cowans 500E and Got Friends Mini 500, so mayby it's redundant with a 530F also, but if the reviews are good I´ll probably get it.

Under wishlist, seasons has been 'started' for a while now. Not anymore. The FS2024 trailer showed seasons, so this is a strong suggestion that seasons won't make it to 2020.

Now that both versions of Philadelphia are out I can't decided which one to get. Any suggestions between MKStudios or DominicDesignTeam?

Hi all Another issue I'm seeing, keyboard not working in the Sim but fine back in the menu,I have to crash the plane to get back to main menu, using a Logitech wireless keyboard and mouse, anybody came across this issue

I bought REX WF way back and had all the issues like studders, etc. Downloaded it yesterday and man it has changed. The weather is great and yes lightning too. I love the way it makes the area more Congested than the default. Just flew SEZ and the sunset was ridiculous. Anyone else?

How do I find the docs and manual for this aircraft ? Windows 10 on Steam.

With my system I have to be judicious in how I use FSLTL. More important to me is traffic moving/flying than static traffic. How can I stop all static planes from appearing in MSFS? Thanks

After many years on and off as a VFR flyer, I am getting back into simming at an old(er) age. As I try to catch up, running into a re-occurring problem with flight plans. Just got a Navigraph subscription to help ...and it certainly does. These days, I mostly fly the HJet and SF50. In entering a flight plan, after the origin/destination, I always get a red waypoint and line on the GPS map. Certainly, I am doing something wrong, but no idea what. Entering procedures will sometimes add an additional flight path. Sometimes I can remedy the discontinuity, but sometimes not. Suspect I am confused with transitions/approach. Either way, I seem t…

All of a sudden this happened having trouble getting real world weather on fs 2020. Never had this problem in last 2years. I click on real weather and it always goes back to clear weather, anybody else have this problem ? How do u fix this ? Any suggestions ?

(Warning - grumpy old git alert) I just fired up the sim to have a little buzz round in the H145. Picked KDFW for no particular reason. Now, I've been flying around there a couple of time recently and it's been fine, but this time I just gave up after 5 minutes. The PG was truly, truly appalling. Jagged blocks of the ground poking up, the dreaded vegetative concrete pillars, and a whole bunch of completely b*ggered rooftops everywhere. Heading out of the airport towards the city, nothing special about the scenery I'm flying over. Yes, I'm flying lowish (about 1000ft) but it's a helicopter - that's the point of the **** thing. Ugh! Not me! I annotate my CTDs in my excel logbook. Last one was all the way back on January 8th of 2022. Almost a year and a half ago. Had two today. Both crashes all the way to desktop. No messages or dialogs. Have not installed anything new. Have made no driver updates. What a mystery. For a 100 minute flight the first CTD was about 40 minutes in. Second attempt CTD was 80 minutes in. Both occurred when using external views, each a great distance apart in location. Hi everyone. Too many people are raving about the Longitude for this to be a common problem, so it's almost gotta be something I'm doing wrong. The thrust reverse is insanely overpowered. We're talking orders of magnitude more reverse thrust than forward thrust. I've made a short video showing the problem (sorry about the weird framing - I was flying in VR): Reversers commanded at :24 when the nose wheel touched down. Hi, does anybody know if the Scenery Gateway system is coming in SU 12? According to this update snapshot, it's supposed to be coming in SU 12. But when I go to the SU 12 beta forum, I can't find a single thread on the Scenery Gateway system. For something as big and high in demand as the Scenery Gateway system, I would have expected at least one thread in the SU 12 beta forum to be discussing the Scenery Gateway system. Aside from the SU 12 beta forum, in the rest of the official MSFS forums, I don't see much discussion on the Scenery Gateway system, given that it may come in SU 12, which is odd.
