Microsoft Flight Simulator (2020/2024)

Some of us have been blindsided by this one so that we were unable to make a purchase from the MarketPlace. My last episode occurred because I started the sim as administrator and tried to make a purchase. I tried all the other voodoo but ended up resetting the Windows Store as outlined in this link. Note this is for Windows users only. Hi, I updated XBOX insider hub from the store but now when running MSFS it crashes even before de ASOBO screen appears. There is this 'game start' counter running for 10 secs, then all appears to continue but a few moments later I am back at my desktop screen. I tried starting the game from XBOX app but same result. I participate in the beta program and I am still in. All I can think of now is opt out and let MSFS rebuild the initial startup. Please give me your thoughts!

Does anyone feel the zoom aspect in the Transall cockpit is crazy zoomed out by default? I find the problem is when i zoom in to correct the crazy FOV it does not feel right and it over zooms. Ideas appreciated on this 🙂

I have a pretty good computer (3Gz i7) with MSFS installed on the main SSD drive. It takes approximately 11 minutes from the time I hit open until I get to the main lobby of the game. Is this normal? (I watch the startup with Task Manager and MSFS is the only thing doing anything. Just constant reading from the disk drive and allocating memory.

Actually, airliners came late in the hobby. My first was in the early 2000 (a PMDG in Fly!), 20 years after I started simming. Today, JF has given us a very nice 15 minutes video showcasing the sounds of the upcoming F28. Personally I'm really loving JF's focus on bring classics to the sims as it's a nice change from the common airliners that get flown and this rendition is really nothing short of spectacular from a sound perspective. Hey all, have a question on the above topic. I recently d/l Brad Allens Bahamas Odyssey Adventure. It was under the Bush flight category on flightsim.to. In fs2020 it's located in the Custom section of activities. Brad created this using the C172. I would rather use the Kodiak. My question: Are the POI in these flights based on GPS Coords, or based on type and speed of the aircraft. In other words, if I flew the Kodiak instead of the C172, would the landmarks pointed out in the flight, adjust since I'm flying the Kodiak now. Or due to faster speed, the adventure flight would be out of sync. If that is the case, is anyone aware of an app that may adjs…

I was all setup and ready to taxi, Release the Parking Brake, Taxi Lights ON, Move the Throttles forward and the aircraft will not move. I checked to make sure the Chocks were off and no warnings were showing warnings showing either. Probably a simple thing I forgot?

Next weekend is shaping up to be a news filled one ... iniBuilds has posted on all its social media channels about a new aircraft for MSFS to be revealed at FSExpo ... the posted closeup of the engine has many speculating on their discord/twitter/facebook/ig. The consensus is that it appears to be a 38-blade CF6 type so candidates include A300, 767, DC10/MD11, 747-200, A330 etc. Likely to be A300 but then again their choice of words with "The Ultimate Airliner experience" suggests something else maybe, also they already announced they're working on the A300 before and this sounds like some secret project. I downloaded the latest update from Blackbird Simulations for the Pilates 6 aircraft.... None respond to Airelon input from either a Xbox controller or a ThrustMaster 1600 joystick....I've posted a the BlackBird site to no avail....help please... John Helms

I never gave attention to the B787, but had recently upgraded it to the Heavy Division mode, and have a couple of questions: I noticed there are only Map and Plan display modes selectable, is there a way to set the other Efis display modes Vor and App, as any other Boeing, or there are definitely absent at this airplane ? I need more help selecting ddr5 ram. I am looking at g skill z5 ddr5 , in description it says AMD EXPO. I have googled and also emailed g skill...the answers are confusing. can somebody please advise if these ddr5 will work in asus intel z790 motherboard. Can't believe I hadn't been to KMMH yet in the sim. Holy c**p! The area is just stunning. Around every peak, a new vista that just makes you pause to look at everything. It's not often that I have a "would you look at that" moment in MSFS but today was one of them. Well there's my suggestion if you like mountain flying and want somewhere to explore. By helicopter is a good way to take it all in. And there are a few challenges when you match the B206 performance against the terrain altitude.

Hi all I am running a 13900k with a 4090 and using frame generation. I have the sim running very smooth with good balanced settings. I have a very strange issue where after 20-30 minutes of flying if i pan around the camera i can tell the performance has dropped and its not smooth and is stuttery. The way around it for me is to click out of the sim to my second monitor ( which has Volanta open ) and then click back into the sim. After doing this the performance is completely back to normal but the same happens again after some time and i repeat the process. Does anyone else have this? Or know of a way to stop this happening. GSX works great. In sim, each time I want to bring up pop up, I have to double click on GSX. Anyone know how to activate pop-up on single click? In youtube videos, I see single click. Thanks.
