I think loading the plane at the gates is a good part of the simulation, but sometimes I just start on the flightline with engines running. What do you guys prefer?

Hey all, I've been flying a lot of the PMDG 737, 777, A2A planes and Black Square aircraft. I am not sure what the settings should be around crash damage and other physics in MSFS. For example the turbulence setting, detect crash impact etc etc. I absolutely want my engine failures to have consequences and not simply get a message about continuing my flight. Whats the best approach to all the settings for realism with complex payware? I understand there's no visual damage model, but at the same time having my planes bounce off the floor or auto reset in the air feels a bit off.

I know we have discussed this before and I have long suspected that Nahamic and Realtek software have been a problem for me and also wonder if it happens more when either ms servers run slower (or even our ISPs)at peak times, but I saw a video or read somewhere recently (may have ben Islandsimpilot) that clearing your rolling cache and setting it to 16 GB might help (mine was set at 32 GB). It certainly seemed to have helped from what I can tell, so worth doing if you are having issues as it's a possible quick and easy fix at no cost.

The frequency of products being released for MSFS 2024 is staggering (almost every day) ... obviously a very healthy platform. The release frequency has far exceed anything P3D could do and even FSX in it's golden age. I wish I had the same problem with XPlane12.

Hi, has anyone else experience no wheel brakes with the 777 in MSFS2024? Tried it with GSX on and off and no matter what, once the engines are on the aircraft starts to roll even with the parking brake set. I checked all my mappings and only the rudder pedals have the toe brakes mapped. All other planes working fine including the PMDG 737.

I've bucked and kicked and resisted relinquishing control of my PC to spyware (STEAM) for so many years... But after the hours of aggravation with an MS Account / Gamepass nonsense, I decided to reconsider my stance and choose the lesser of 2 evils: STEAM. Is it a mistake? What are your thoughts about STEAM vs Gamepass? What pros/cons are there for each - especially as they relate to MS 2024? Any/all thoughts are appreciated - thanks in advance!

Hey folks, Simple question in the sim... is there any real point (apart form adding to the authenticity of a flight) in making a secondary flight plan and viewing alternates just in case? Just wondering as nothing seems to happen in sim that requires these... or have i missed something? Cheers Dug

I have asked this before but didn't get many replies. I have a 49" Ultrawide and am currently using 2024 with the Fenix. For those using a similar display as me, what are you setting your cockpit view settings to find a realistic "feel" of sitting in the captains seat? I feel like it is either too far back and hard to read instruments, or too far forward where you don't have good depth, particularly when landing. I've asked this before but never really got an answer so I figured I'd throw it out there again. Are there any suggestions out there? Are there any mods out there for something like this? Thanks!

Spent a week with the Fenix A320 (great add-on!) and it is time to see what the A350 is all about. Any showstoppers I should know about? Not expecting perfection but I am hoping the main systems work as intended.

Hi all, I have followed all the steps to a "T" from multiple videos but when my sim launches and I see the reshade message on the top left it crashes every time. Anyone know how to fix this? I have uninstalled reshade multiple times too.

Hello everyone, Been a 2020 user for a few years now and went ahead and purchased 2024. Now my biggest question is, although I install 2024 on a different drive, why does 2024 create a folder on my C drive and insist all my addons go in there? I dont have the space on my C drive to store all of my addons, paints, aircraft, etc and purposely purchased an NVME drive to install 2024 there as well as addons, etc. How can I fix this so that I can move addons from my C drive to my H drive? 2020 made it easy, yes it creates a small folder on the C drive but I was able to store my entire community folder on a separate drive and have all my addons off my C drive. …

Does the SWS Airvan have a 2024 native version or is it a 2020 port? Also does the "SystemsPulse" expansion work as well in 2024? Haven't been able to find a solid answer for this yet. Thanks

The HondaJet was released today. In your opinion, where is the best place to buy it from? Here are the vendor choices. Which helps the developer the most? I assume it doesn't matter to the developer, so support MSFS 2024?

I am thinking it must be me .... I have been simming (FSX,P3D, Xplane) since the 1990s and have just upgraded to MSFS 2024 Premium Delux. I have never experienced as many installation issues as with this. I run Windows 10 64bit (latest version), intel processor, Gforce 4060TI card. system disk is 'C' and 'D' drive has Xplane only with nearly 1TB of space. Following installation 9via recommended XBox App) on D drive, the basic sim starts and runs enabing me to learn and config etc. After about 4 loads of the sim I suddenly get error messages 'This App Will Not Run On this PC' or 'Windows Does Not Recognise/Find this App'. I love the Fenix A320. I know i will have many many hours of enjoyment from it, and I have maybe 50 hours in it already. Airbus just rocks, and Fenix crushed it with the A320. But…I need to scratch the Boeing itch, and what better way to do that than becoming a freight dawg flying the PMDG 777F? Any serious issues I need to know about? I assume quality is up there because…PMDG. I guess i need to dust off my GSX Pro? After tackling the triple 7 I guess the next mountain to climb will be the MD-11? I really love this sim.

Fellow flyers, how do you manage descent in the A319? Its a fast little torpedo. I need to open the speedbrakes nearly over the complete descent and even then im sometimes too fast in the final approach. What is best / common practice? - Program the ILS capture altitude already one waypoint early so to have time to slow down at the very end? (if allowed of course) - Switch always to open descent and then take full speed brakes? - other solutions? Im curious on the answers.

For the life of me I can't get the 727 Super 27 to follow a flightplan with the GNS-XLS. When I select NAV the VOR/LOC lights turn on red instead of green, even while exactly on the route. Maybe someone can look at the screenshot and notice something I am doing wrong. Here I tried going Direct to the next waypoint in the plan but that didn't work either. I have no problem in the non-super model using the exact same imported flightplan and using the GNS530. In the Super 27 the GNS-XLS is the only option. All the other AP modes work fine. thanks
