Microsoft Flight Simulator (2020/2024)

All i want is to start the word not allowed sim select free flight pick my ac and my parking spot and be sat in the aircraft cold and dark. Is that possible by default? I simply cannot get on with this walk around feature imposed on me to figure out. The mouse does not move the avatar and i really do not have the patience to learn to try to do something that is proving to be an annoyance every time i start the sim.. If there is a way to bypass this "feature" please let me know. I could not get into the aircraft moments ago and basically exited the sim in frustration. I'm having trouble getting the PMS GTN 750 to work at all in MSFS 2024 - it doesn't show up in any plane I try in MSFS 2024 where it shows the bezel but stays blank or doesn't even give me an option to add it. Have downloaded the new 2024 750 version and extracted to the Community folder (not the default Community folder but one I placed on another drive by changing it in the MSFS Library). If I try something like the M20R in the tablet it says that it's not installed. It's also not showing up in the Toolbar in MSFS which seems to suggest an install issue? For those unfamiliar, when using Navigraph navdata and FlyTamp's Las Vegas airport, the ILS for RWY 26L will bring you in way too low. The fix in MSFS 2020 was to edit the content.xml file so that the FlyTampa KLAS scenery has higher priority than the base Navigraph package. https://www.flytampa.org/forum/viewtopic.php?t=36728&sid=03444c5ba15866f183baa8fb1640bb4c Is there any way to do this in MSFS 2024? Hi all I have the cowansim md500e and a cockpit with switches and buttons mapped through fsuipc. I have shut down the engine so I can do a full engine start up, saved the flight which is parked at a helipad. Then I open up my saved flight the engines are running. Is this a bug in 2020 or is there something I have missing Cheers Rhys

Hi. I got a new pc in January, i7 proc, 4tb ssd, 16gb memory, nvida gforce rtx. I also got a Turtle beach, velocity one flight yoke, rudder pedals and flight stick. Plus the Steam version of SMFS2020 flight sim. Since then I have spent considerably more time trying to calibrate and map the controls than 'flying' No matter what I try, it seems to start up with slightly different settings and often I restart the game and get different things happen again. Yesterday I made a flight from Beaver Creek to Whitehorse, in the continuation of an exploration trip that started from Anchorage. The scenery from Anchorage was beautiful until I reached Beaver Creek, which was mostly surrounded by ugly generic ground textures. I am using MSFS 2024 with a Thrustmaster airbus A320 controller. I want to assign different sensitivity settings to different aicraft eg A350 , CRJ. Is this possible in fs 2024? I have used flightsims for more than 30 years (Yes, I'm that old) and I have never had a set of rudder pedals, only a joystick with a stick that can be used as rudders Now i have bought the Thrustmaster TCA pack, and even though it still can be used as rudders, I'm also considering if I finally should buy a set of rudder pedals to go with it Do you guys all have seperat rudder pedals or do you still use a "twisting" joystick? And when is it mot critical in flight to use pedals?

Looks like GotFriends is making a new add-on. But it shows the beauty of MSFS 2024. Hello, does anyone know if I can use a mouse button in MSFS2024 to modify what the scroll wheel does? I have a very basic mouse right now and was contemplating buying one with a few more buttons onboard with the idea that I would set up it up so the scroll wheel controls zoom (as it does by default), but if I pressed a button on the mouse and used the scroll wheel it would only function to operate dials and switches. Basically I want to set this up so when I’m rotating an autopilot switch, I don’t end up zooming in or out if the mouse cursor times out or if the cursor moves off the dial. I’m wondering if anyone’s got a setup like this working in MSFS2024…

I got this message last night after trying to load MSFS 2020. The game has crashed. Error code: (0xc0000005). I have read articles and posts on this and it seems as though the only option is to uninstall and reinstall. So I did that and I get the same error message. Can anyone tell me what to do now. Yesterday I was trying to troubleshoot the flickering TDS GTN750Xi in the 182RG in 2020, and after starting the game several times after trying different things, 2020 all-of-a-sudden wanted to redownload itself (148GB) and now it crashes to desktop every time on loading, when it's about 50% done with the loading line at the bottom. I've been keeping up with the several threads about shutdown issues with 2020, but am curious if anyone is having trouble starting 2020 in the last several days?

Hello, Since BATC does not work in the accelerated mode, my plan is to exit BATC before I hit X8 acceleration on PMDG777 and fly until 100nm from TOD. Then, I exit the accelerated mode, reload BATC, and hope it picks me where I am and lead to the arriving airport as usual. Is that correct method?
