Microsoft Flight Simulator (2020/2024)

I was watching Swiss001 and what looks to be a multi million dollar cockpit simulator (I am estimating the cost, I don't know for certain), is using MSFS 2020 (they literally salvaged the head of a real 737 for their simulator). It was interesting that they would choose MSFS 2020: You can see them salvage the head of a 737 at the 1:13 mark of the video. What impresses me most about this cockpit simulator is that they even remade a portion of the cabin, behind the cockpit. If you are in the cabin and you look out the passenger window, you still see the scenery generated by MSFS! I have seen a lot of other Boeing/Airbus cockpits use MSFS before, but…

Did a flight with the PMDG 772ER at dusk yesterday.... I mean, I cannot imagine the sim looking any better. Is there a drastic difference? I actually have both on my system but, with my dozens and dozens and dozens of add ons, Ive been sticking with 2020. I do 95% of my flight in the flight levels.... any reason to switch? Especially now that chaseplane is out... I am thinking no way!

I'm looking to fire up Active Sky for FS2024. I've been flying for a while now in 24, and while happy with the sim overall, the weather just feels a bit lifeless, a bit drab. There is no real jeopardy and no real point to checking the weather. How is Active Sky at the moment performing, and are people using it and enjoying it? What settings should I be looking at? One thing that did put me off was the weather suddenly transitioning, snapping. Has this been attended to? I'd like the weather to reflect what happened in SIM time, not real time live weather.

I have installed the 777 in 2020 and the GE version shows up blank. I have repaired and reinstalled it but to no avail. And this is in 2020. I installed a specific GE livery as well. See below and for some reason files keep being needed to update. The RR is fine. Hi, ALL this "not allowed word" Online-Apps. Server errors, payed programs not useable. at this time all from FS2Crew is death 😞 in future i will never more by any software wich only works with online constraint. there should be a blacklist for such software. every hacker and pirate gets to have fun without this garbage, customers who have paid honestly are tormented

I cannot get 2020 to load. CTD using the latest nVidia driver. (3080) Any suggestions?

Has anyone successfully introduced the Iris Grob Tutor into 2024? It worked fine for me in 2020, but in 2024 the canopy is stuck open when it loads and can't be closed?

Hey guys, found that SPad.next is actually very good... Just using the trial version to see how it all works... Ive imported multiple profiles to use but whilst they see the engine master switches, none of the profiles actually turn them on or even move the parking brake.. Does anyone have a spad.next profile that actually works for the Fenix with its add-ons (using the TCA by the way) Cheers

All of a sudden today the new 777-200 is MISSING from the hanger and when I try to install I am getting this? Did install into 2024. Will not install 777-300 at all? This is turning into a full time job. What is this now! Failed to compare installed files to release files close

I've been trying to figure out how to connect external power to the Cessna Citation. I call for the ground power unit, it arrives, but I don't see an option to connect. The Citation is new(ish) to me. I might be missing it, but I don't see an option in the cockpit to select external power. Any ideas?

FS2020. My toolbar became crowded with icons and now the gear (configuration) icon is out of the screen, so I cannot disable innecesary icons. How can I fix it ? Thanks

AzurPoly OV-10 Bronco (Version 1.2.0 updated 4/9/25 compatible with 2024) - flew long mission with it yesterday with no problems. Today took off from same airport (KMYL) and was cruising at 2000' AGL / 150 knots with everything working perfectly. Plane made burbing noise and flashed screen then got the CRASHED message and Back On Track message. Burping noise again... kept burping and crashing every 3-seconds. System would accept no input. I think I am going to uninstall and reinstall MSFS due to a problem that I can't seem to fix, after latest update. Here is my question, when you uninstall MSFS, I heard that there are folders that also have to be deleted, before reinstalling the sim. The largest one of course is the One Store folder. Does anyone know where the other folders are located ( I have MS Store version), so that when I reinstall the sim,, everything will be brand new? I have searched around, and can't seem to find any info on this.

Hello Captains, I have programmed a StreamDeck-Plugin because I couldn't find anything which suited my needs. The Result was and is "Pilot's Deck" which has already some happy Users in the Prepar3D Community for some time now. With MSFS "touched down" on my PC I could test my Plugin with MSFS2020. It was directly working but was missing Hvar Support before. Now that this has changed with Version 0.7.0, I want to make it bit more known 🙂 It connects via FSUIPC to the Sim, so it support MSFS2020 (FSUIPC7) and Prepar3D v4 & v5 (FSUIPC6) at the same time. In MSFS 2024 the box to choose DEP AIRFIELD STANDS is very large and covers most of the airfield. Has this been improved in the SU2 Beta, perhaps more off to the side? I do not remember this issue with 2020. Ta- C

I noticed the sim will start fine and shutdown fine . But it does not always cause a CTD (rarely ever does at startup), It will during the sim shutdown present an error within 'Event viewer' (after closing normally). I only happened to notice this after a very recent CTD during startup. Running the latest NVIDIA 576.28 drivers (after a clean install using latest DDU. PC is up to date as well. Could you all check within your 'Event viewer' as well? The GPU drivers were installed cleanly using DDU in safe mode. Haven't seen / read anything new lately about Fenix? Is it still being updated? Today I installed it in FS 2024 and took it for a short ride and it's indeed probably the only decent airliner in terms of ground physics / inertia I've been able to try in this sim... Inflight also 2nd to none that I own (I don't have the PMDG 772 yet...). Hope development continues. Would be great to get NEO variants!

A quick, general question regarding controller axes sensitivities in MSFS 2024. Do you find that the sensitivity settings in MSFS 2020 are a good fit for MSFS 2024 or do significant changes need to be made ? I have the TCA hardware but feedback for other controllers is welcome as well. Thanks.

Good evening, I was wondering if there was any Apps for IOS that simulated aircraft tech log, for example where you could record ON and OFF Blocks time and the following: Engine Oil QTY HYD QTY FUEL AT DEP + ARR Type of APP you performed (AUTO, ILS, NPA) A box were you could record defects etc?
