I sure hope this fixes my 2024 crashes!

I loaded the new nvidia driver and followed IslandSimPilot (youtube) on making the frame rate max fix to 30 in the userconfig. and OH MY what a difference. The Fenix is outstanding and the results are incredible on my 3080. It is the way I thought it would be months ago. So smooth and no popping scenery in and out. I ran mine with Active sky new new beta and it worked fantastic. Did ILS's in to Kdsm, kcid, during Tstorm just now. Just fantastic. Running a 65" lcd. Most settings med to high with clouds ultra. Has anyone used Paralle42's SimFX with MSFS2024? More specifically, are the improved water effects working?

I probably should have come here for assistance, as I have been a member since the late 90s and have been in this hobby since the mid 80s. FS2024 runs quite well on my 6-yr old i5-9600/32GB RAM/RTX 3060ti. Where FS2024 falls short, even compared to FS2020 is in flight planning, ATC, EFB, and Avionics. I normally fly IFR routes of 30-120minutes in the Daher, and I find that ATC will rarely properly vector me to my destination, often arriving at destination at cruise altitude, and are never told to reduce altitude or get vectored back to the airport after passing it. After testing 2024 today, I'm seriously considering making it my primary sim. It has come a long way. There's a couple things I need to finish. 1) My 787 is missing from the fleet. I received a prompt that I had updates to a few airports and the 787, but the airports & airplanes are not in the marketplace. They appear in content manager, but they are market unsupported by dev. How do I find these updates on the marketplace? There were a few in my account, but I'm missing some airplanes and airports that are part of my 2020 premium deluxe. 2) Does the Add-on linker allow you to choose which sim to start? After an initial very fast installation, immediately after the new sim was released, and being unable to get on and fly for well over 6 hours last night I eventually got on early this morning (UK). Went to Free Flight and was able to load into a couple of airports. I now cannot load into a flight, either free flight or discovery flights. If I zoon into an airport it takes ages to load the imagery and gates etc. Choosing a gate and fly now just leaves it loading and loading and loading with no progress bar showing a few models of ai traffic. Ive a good system and internet speed tests confirm I have well over 1100 Mbps. Sim and pc have been restarted. Not sure wha…

Effective 4/23. Applies to customer accounts based in the States and buying through the Global Shipping Site. Purchases still possible through the US Shipping Site, assuming with a new pricing considering the high tariffs. Hello everyone, the following observation. Flight SAWH to SBPB. I fly with PMDG 738 in 2020, colleague in Prosim 738 in 2024, same route from Simbrief, same altitude. Mach 0.80 Takeoff almost at the same time, only about 10 minutes difference. I fly in my FS2020 am 30 minutes longer than my friend in FS2024. I didn't think MS makes such differences in weather. It's clear that different weather data is being fed into the simulators here... Maybe bad english, translated with DeepL

I don't have 2024, but am curious, since KFDW has been broken in MS 2020 since day one, with runway and taxiway problems that will wreck your aircraft and blurry runways and taxiways, and 100's of complaints on their official forum, did they manage to fix this in 2024, or is it still broken?

As the title says, the sim freezes some 5 seconds after it loads. The music is still playing, mouse is active, but I have to shut it down either through Steam or Task Manager. I let it be for half an hour to no avail. Nothing has changed after my last successful flight, no Windows updates, nothing. Except Navigraph updates. I have a MAG B650 Tomahawk mobo, a MSI RTX 4090, drivers are 566.36, no Nvidia app, no GeForce Experience, 64Gb RAM. I know we have some very realistic aircraft/engine simulation already such as A2A, Black Square, COWS, but it would be really neat if someone developed something like the simcoders engine but covered all "generic" aircraft or those aircraft that do not have these "extras". Hoping someone here can help. I got my PFP 7 today. Unfortunately I also ordered a PFP 3N and it shows in the commodity list online but I only got the PFP 7. No one is available from Winwing to assist. Fingers crossed. My question is what do I do with the PFP 7? So I downloaded the Simapp PRO. There are zero instructions pertinent to the PFP unit. I navigated to the documents section and there is no PFP 7 manual so I downloaded the PFP 3N manual however it say to refer to the simapp pro app and manual which to my prior point has nothing on any of the PFP units... So.... what do I need to do to get it to show something other than the winwing logo? …

Wow, I can't believe I just found this after all this time. One thing that has always bothered me is the shimmering in shadows under certain lighting conditions. In researching a "fix" I found the 4K shadow config change in a couple of online videos. Bothering me to the point I shut down my flight two hours in, made the change and restarted. Holy cow, what a difference. It's not the raytraced shadows in 2024 but it is SO much better in 2024. Simply change the Shadows value in usercfg.opt from your current value, mine was 2048 to 4096 and reload. Done. I've been having these issues for a while , posted in Navigraph forums a couple of months ago, where i 've been told that fixes are being rolled out all the time. I want to post my issue here in case the issue is not from Navigraph but something else. I have the same behavior in G1000/G3000 planes, i.e HondaJet, DA42, C172 Route LGMK->LGSR LGMK/34 N0177F070 NITS1C NITSA J62 IRBEG IRBE1A LGSR/33 Nor SID nor STAR and Approach is depicted correctly in neither G1000 and G3000. Tried the EFB also. Tried manual or imported flight plan and the results are the same.

Trying to round out my F1 airport collection in the sales.
