I'm driving myself crazy with tweaking around, different builds, and want a comprehensive answer! There are just so many variables going on at the moment. The most important thing for me when flying is fidelity and clarity of terrain. I don't mind if the carousel in terminal 1 at EHAM is looking a bit blocky. I actually don't even need to use third party airports. I like sharp, defined mountains and clear scenes below. However, when looking at sharpness, clarity of the terrain below, which setting is most important? Is it TLOD? Is it texture resolution? Hello, I'm just curios if there is a mode that allow to extend night lighting during dawn and start it earlier during dusk. We had this mode back in FS2004/FSX/P3D days, so perhaps we have it for MSFS2020 as well?

So I re-installed 2020 to work alongside 2024, mainly to keep flying the Max 8. I had it working well, did a flight this morning with it. I was using 2024 while i installed some other previous addons into 2020 and noticed the entire sim has been uninstalled! Is this a thing that will keep happening?

Going to purchase Flytampa CYYZ scenery for MSFS2020. will purchase from FlyTampa website Once purchased, when installing does it come with an installer that you have to run or is it simply like many scenereis from Fltsimto.ca that you extract a folder to the Community folder in MSFS2020?

Was working great till it wasnt. Suddenly, it finds no liveries for 2020. After several restarts it then says too many liveries to create. Works good in 2024, but 2020 struggling. Not sure what has changed, as I had it working well before. Any ideas? Thanks

Too many bugs in msfs 2024, the planes are awfully textured, deletes my downloaded liveries, doesn't transfer planes, overall just sucks. Try harder Microsoft.

Good morning, I don’t usually ask for help or tips with MSFS as I’ve managed to work through various iterations of MSFS without real problems. However, I have just downloaded MSFS2024 and it will not let me configure my joystick. It sees it, but shows a white circle with a “1” in it beside each axis. I know this points to a conflict, but I have tried all I know, and looked at YouTube etc to find out how to identify the conflict but have not found any leads so far. It may be a simple solution, but not for me this time! Kev

Does VNAV work for departures in the Garmin g3000? I've been flying general aviation recently such as the TBM 930 and vnav works fine with arrivals but some of my SIDS i fly out of have altitude restrictions on them and I click the vnav button and enter the final restricted altitude after takeoff and it doesn't climb or meet any of the restricted waypoints, am I doing something wrong or does VNAV in the g3000 only works for arrivals?

Can't get the ADF to work, all seems normal, I can tune in a frequency, and hear the morse code ident (very faintly), but the needle doesn't point anywhere sensible, just seems to wonder around. Also when I put a non functioning frequency in, I'd expect the needle to assume its resting position, with the needle pointing to 090 bearing, but it's still slowly meandering around. Might just be my system, anyone got the 2020 store edition ADF working normally?

Not sure if this a function of the new lighting engine in 2024 v 2020, but I see this frequently and it's not a good thing. Not sure where to try to change this but it seems like colors seem oversaturated in 2024 or there is too much reflectivity. I have NCP desktop color settings the same in both sims and even reducing Digital Vibrance (seems like a color saturation control) it's still there. 2020 coming in towards KTEX. While it looks a bit dim but the color tones themselves look more natural or similar to what I would see in the RW here: Now in 2024: the strange patterns you see towards the left horizon isn't there in the screenshot so compression did…

Hi, Is anyone getting the ECAM alert "F/CTL L SIDESTICK FAULT - CALIBRATE NULLZONES even if not using any controllers ? I'm just using keyboard and I get this whenever I use the Fenix A320. I've tried adjusting the null-zones as per the Fenix support page however it doesn't make any difference. I've requested help from Fenix technical support however they haven't been of any assistance either. Would appreciate any assistance. Thanks

I currently run an AMD 5800X3D with an RTX 3060 GPU (12Gb Vram), and 64 GB system ram. Due to the crazy VRAM issues in MSFS2024, I'm looking to upgrade my GPU but NVIDIA cards are so _____ expensive it doesn't seem very good value for price. Instead I was looking at this AMD card instead: SAPPHIRE NITRO+ AMD Radeon RX 7900 XTX Vapor-X 24GB GDDR6 I love the 24GB VRAM and it has decent reviews, but then I realized I won't be able to use DLSS. How big a deal is that for MSFS2024? Is this a good idea? Bad idea? Suggestions? In FS 2020 I recall that we could define the departure and arrival including SID / STAR / APP and add the various waypoints of a route including the airways betwen them using the Map for setting the flight. In that same screen we also had the oiption to load a flightplan previously imported from any flightplanner that could create the ".FPLN" file. Now in FS 2024 I can't find how to do it? I even used to cut&paste the flightplan into that GUI in the field where you could write the flightplan? Now it looks like the only way is through that, clumsy, EFB 😕 or is it still there and I just couldn't find it?

Finally have good FPS but the stutters are awful. Is there anything to minimize this? I see the content creators using the GA stuff and seems ok. But the Airliners are just terrible. Worse than I remember 2020 Ever being. Any suggestions?

It's been obvious along last week, and I tried at different airfileds comparing to METAR and GRIB data. Cloud coverage completely out of sync with reality. Today took off IRL from Gran Canaria, to Lisboa, around 12:40 UTC and there was even severe weather in the area, lot's of embeded Cbs and on approach to southern Portugal we descended through Ns (Nimbostratus). Arrived home and started MSFS 2024 SU2 Beta and... skies crystral clear over the Canaries, and most of thr route, which I didn't finis, to LPPT. Winds, temperatures and barometric pressure look ok though. Wazzzap with MSFS and weather?

With the C182Q start is always IN the cockpit with the cabin cover on. Shift-C is not working to get in or out to accomplish the walk around for removing items. No problems when start on runway. Can this be corrected somehow?
