I've been out of touch for a bit. What's the current status of getting the landing gear/lights to show up on the AI models?

How is BATC doing with oceanic operations? Are position reports possible?

I have been having some issues setting up Addon Linker so would like to clarify a couple of things. My Addons Linker addons folder has a number of subfolders one of which is called Aircraft. When an update comes out for one of the installed aircraft in the Aircraft folder, or I want to install a new aircraft, I assume I can just point the installer to the Aircraft subfolder -- correct? When updating an installed aircraft, are there any issues if the installer first tries to uninstall the existing install before installing the update? Is it better to manually delete the old install before running the installer in this case? Do you ever need to work directly…

In 2020 if i purchased an aircraft, you were able to uninstall it and then re-install it. Does the "Disable" feature work the same way in 2024?

Just wondering if there is an advantage to using this in MSFS2024 and if so, what are recommended setting pls?

Dunno if this was posted here but pretty cool way to do this and will be very useful. I've been set on all Ultra but it's very easy for me to see I can dial back several parameters and not see a deterioration in visual quality and even detail and even better looking in terms of more realistic at lower demand settings. And some others that can be kept on Ultra with little to no cost. It would have been nice to see this done with a 4000 or 5000 series GPU but it's still meaningful for sure.

I've recently started having a problem where when I switch out of MSFS2020 to something else when I eventually bring MSFS back into focus it's just frozen. If I switch back again everything is moving but it's a complete stutter fest even with my normal FPS. I vaguely remember this happening a long time ago but there was a way I was able to get things back to normal but I can't for the life of me remember now. I'm running a Ryzen 5800X3D with 64Gigs of RAM and an RTX 3060. running 1440p on a G34WQC (Freesync on in monitor, 144hz refresh rate). So quick question as I thought that the snow coverage in 2020 was down to real life conditions and I should preface this with the fact I am using ASFS but what actually determines snow textures on the ground in MSFS2020? I am seeing them all over NJ, Delaware, all the way down to North Carolina the last few days. Again, this is with ASFS. It's been cold but we haven't had any snow where I live in central NJ. I know that Newark airport isn't covered in snow. So what determines the green vs white ground textures? Thank you! -Paul

Hi Everyone! I managed to bag myself one of the seatbelt signs from the Jet 2 757's that were scrapped which has now been retrofitted with a usb cable so it illuminates. I'm not sure if this is even possible but i wanted to try and control it using the seatbelt switch that i have on my overhead external panel from Java Simulations. Is there anyway of doing this? I'm just curious as I have been using the VRAAS in MSFS 2020 but now I'm getting an annoying "RAAS System Test OK" on nearly every landing now. Is there any way to stop that or would I need to just remove the program to stop it? Thanks.

When I go to Marketplace and select an aircraft that I want to buy, I get a message that I need to use the same Microsoft login as when I bought the sim. When I load and login at Microsoft all works but sim still locks me out. Suggestions please?

Anybody know what is the deal with Microsoft Flight simulator 2024 and it's rolling cache? I tried to move it to a different folder but it keeps resetting to another drive and then when I place a number after I've deleted the rolling cache it's telling me that a numeric value is needed. I'm on sim update 1

I decided to try again with the JustFlight Avro RJ70, but I just cannot stop this thing from bouncing up and down like a yo-yo on descent. The green banana is thoroughly enjoying the trampoline, but I am just getting frustrated. Granted it is not as easy to fly as the PMDG 737, but I really do not understand why it is pitching up and down all the time Has anyone else suffered from this, and then worked out how to resolve it?

I enjoy taking screenshots, but I'm increasingly frustrated by the exterior lighting model in MSFS 2024. Basically, scene lighting changes a lot when zooming in, playing havoc with terrain lighting and often making the whole image washed out. I can understand this "Eye adaptation" effect working inside the cockpit - mimicking what our eyes would do naturally and making dark cockpit panels more readable - but to have this effect applied to exterior views seems like overkill. I appreciate our eyes adapt to/compensate for scenery lighting in RL, but mainly in *tone* (light/dark) and not in saturation. Can this effect be disabled in 2024? We used to have a UseCfg.Op…

Hi folks, can anyone help me with FS2020/2024 as I am not getting TCAS TA/RA, TAWS, GPWS sounds in the flight deck. Using ini a350. Checked with the team, they said can't replicate the issue. Tried turning the headphone simulation off but no joy. Is there a specific setting I am missing in the sim. Regards

Sure there are lot of little annoying things but it as for default it is was very close to PMDG or ifly. ifly 737 max especially is very fresh in my memory so it was easy to figure out how setup the flight. Max flew rock solid KSFO-KSNA no major issues. Little overshoot here and there but nothing that PMDG wouldn't done. I also discovered that my copilot actually move lips when talk to ATC LOL I tried to use PilotLife2 with Beta FSUPC but unfortunately PL2 only detected MSFS2024 but couldn't detect beginning of the flight or track the flight

I needed to reinstall Win 11 and 2020 due to issues. 2020 was running ok 35 FPS nothing great. Did the FG hack on my 3080 and with TAA running solid 60 with Mostly HIGH setting but clouds and caching Ultra without FG on. FG on 100+ in some areas or 85 ish and incredibly smooth. Still fighting 2024 around every corner. I just dont get it. Happy on 2020 for sure. Best experience bar none. Just wondering without FG on what the DLL is doing to boost frames.
