April 5, 20251 yr To me airports like ini's KLAX have horrible performance eating up VRAM, even the new enhanced one on my RTX 3070 Ti Laptop 8GB GPU MacBook Neo: A18 Pro with 6-core processor and 5-core graphics 8GB Unified Memory, macOS Tahoe, X-Plane 12 (12.40). April 5, 20251 yr I have questionable performance and the stock / enhanced LAX so I’d be hard pressed to buy this unless it somehow performed better. But the reality is the LA Basin has always been a performance black hole (even worse than New York in my experience) so I’m not sure it’s possible. April 5, 20251 yr I purchased, but you will need a good strong processor for this airport But it's beautiful compared to the default which was a vram hog also. April 5, 20251 yr Commercial Member None of the airports from iniBuilds have performed well for me — they’re the only developer whose airports consistently give me poor performance. April 5, 20251 yr Performance was fine on my system. I just flew in and out of KLAX while on Vatsim, lots of traffic and using the Fenix and it was smooth on both flights. I did disable a few options and you also need to make sure you disable the 2024 Stream KLAX. April 5, 20251 yr The issue is the entire LA region is terrible for FPS. Everywhere else in MSFS I get fluid frames but LAX and the surrounding area I get major spikes and stutters. This was also the issue in MSFS2020.

Out of sheer curiosity, what was your VRAM usage like when using this airport? Also, are you running your sim in 4k? FAA: ATP-ME, 737 CA, enough time in the 757/767 to be dangerous 🤠 Matt Kubanda, 7950X3D, 64GB RAM, RTX 5090@4k, MSFS 2024
April 5, 20251 yr One thing I do like about INI Builds airports is they allow you to remove scenery objects which impact FPS and help reduce VRAM usage. I can fly EGLL using a mix of high/ultra settings on 1440 and keep the VRAM around 14GB.

Your choice, but you're missing out on a great looking LAX. With your peripherals you shouldn't have any issues with it. My system is running it fairly well. But give them some time and they usually update and optimize their sceneries. Inibuilds KLAX for 2020 came a long way since release.
