Microsoft Flight Simulator (2020/2024)

Just like in FSMS 2020, FSMS 2024 offers the DC-3. But it has its speed indicator in MPH, nor Knots per hour. (I know that was standard on the real DC-3) Someone did a replacement file to change it to Knots in 2020, but I can't fine one for MSFS 2024. Has anyone seen one being offered? Thanks

I’m trying to load a flight today but can’t get past the aerial view loading screen with the spinning circle in the bottom right hand corner. Everything was fine yesterday and all other flights in recent memory. I’ve tried different airports, aircraft all the same. Also tried the normal workarounds like zooming all the way out, reducing off screen caching, no dice. Anyone else? Or any other workarounds I’ve missed?

Hello. Is it just me or the Beaver is hardly move on the ground. It takes a full power to taxi less than 1 knot. Also, the repetitive gear warning on amphibious Xcub cannot be muted when starting cold and dark. Thank you for your help

The FP is loaded fine in all respects. Now I know in a Boeing plane you have to enable LNAV and VNAV, in a MD-11 you have to enable Profile and Nav. What of the A350? Cheers (Much as I like this aircraft, there is very little provided information on how to actually operate it.)

When I try to pass the High Performance Certification, In the Preflight I have to remove the static port coverI. I can(t find this static port cover. Where it might be ? If i skio to taxi using ALT+N the iIAS and ALTITUDE ribbons of the PFD are not working (This is not abnormal brcuse the static pressure is not working) Everything is working normally when the Corvalis aircraft is used in free flight I am unable to obtain this High Përformance Endorsement I need HELP !!!!!!

I thought this announcement deserves its own thread since historical weather has been talked about so much at Avsim. In the Twitch Q&A today, they said a 24 hour historical weather snapshot is planned for MSFS 2024. Just a 24 hour snapshot, better than nothing. But there you go, for all the people that want historical weafher in MSFS.

I'm not in the beta but it seems to me they have toned down the overexposure in the cockpit? Looks much better all of a sudden. That blown out shift I used to get when looking down has also gone, which is great. They seem to make some changes server side on a regular basis.

They were plentiful at my local computer shop. I did some like for like tests with the 7950x3D to compare. I'm no good at the benchmark graphs...sorry. Hi, A new issue has started occurring for me over the last couple of days… Anytime below FL150 I am getting hit constantly with a load of “connection lost” quickly followed by “successfully connected” Based in the U.K… internet connection is otherwise fine. Have tried a VPN and same issue. Any ideas? Many thanks, Mike

Hi all, I'llpost a video of a flight with the Fenix A319 leaving KSAN. Horrble performace, mostly smooth but then sound cracking then stutters. I placed the MSFS frame counter info so you can see what is happening, plus my specs are listed bellow. I the video it also shows the graphics settings and I have a fast internet connection at 500+mbps. I have my frames locked at 48 via Riva Tuner. Have the latest Nvidia drivers and also have the latest DLSS files including the Frame Gen file running "K". I never have this issue with FS2020. The ground textures in my MS2024 flash and blink in clumps like a light bulb that is burning out. The whole screen does not do this, just small areas. Many at a time, like a string of blinking Christmas lights. It stops as soon as I get in the air, and is fine until I land, then it starts again. I have a 9800X3D, and an RTX4070 Super with three 27" 1440P monitors. I average around 40 FPS with no stuttering. I don't use any frame gen or scaling programs. I have tried with NVIDIA shaders on and off and it doesn't make any difference. I don't have this issue if I only run in single monitor. I don't have any problems in MSFS 2020, so it is not my monitors or connections. …

As we all know you have to use SHIFT-C to get in (and out) of the cockpit at the start of the flight. Now SU2 beta offers a new option to skip the pref-flight part (remove chocks and covers etc.): you can assign a key to QUICK PREFLIGHT. So get into the cockpit ASAP (a lot of people hate it that you can start in the cockpit right away) you need to press the newly assigned key and then SHIFT-C . Nice improvement. Great! But... this can be done even quicker...! Tip of the day: assign SHIFT-C also to QUICK PREFLIGHT! (If you use another key to get into the plane then assign that same key to this new function. Duh.) Today i have unistalled my a320 fenix , and now after runnng the fenix installer i can't install it becase the installer is stucked in "checking for new versions" Any solution? thanks

Hey guys, i know its the beta still, but Ive tried 4 times now the same flight in the Fenix and about 2 mins from landing i get the following in event viewer.. Application: FlightSimulator2024.exe Framework Version: v4.0.30319 Description: The process was terminated due to an unhandled exception. Exception Info: exception code c0000005, exception address 00007FF6AF240ADF I'm not a PC wiz by any means so don't really know where to start.. I repaired the runtime file from windows but didn't help I deleted my rolling cache as well... Wondering what either could be the cause or what i could yet do? Thanks for any help

When I try to mimic some of Singapore Airlines' KEWR or KJFK routes, SimBrief displays a "Flight exceeds aircraft range" or exceeds MTOW, etc. message. Is there a way to manually tweak anything so I can do these flights with realistic passenger/payload counts?

Woke up early this morning to watch the eclipse at sunrise but unfortunately the treeline and clouds prevented me from seeing it so I fired up MSFS 2020 and started a flight from KEWR-RJAA and wow, it did not disappoint! I just tried to run MSFS2020 and after checking for updates it displays a screen advising there is not enough disk space yet my C drive has 52GB free and the drive I have MSFS installed on (D:) has 77GB free. Also the screen does not indicate how much space is required for the update. Does anyone else have this problem?
