Microsoft Flight Simulator (2020/2024)

I hope this is the right place for this question...I'm using MSFS 2020 and trying to bind my Honeycomb Bravo Flaps lever for twin or 4 engine jet. Every instruction I can find says to bind the Flaps Lever to Flaps Axis (-100 to 100%) My Control Panel does not have this setting. It only has 0 to 100% and Flaps Axis. Neither of these work. Can someone tell me how to do this? ThankYou

My Flightsim PC main drive failed. I was using Windows 10. I have reinstalled and performed all updates. When I First installed MSFS, I installed on my D drive. I still have that drive with MSFS on it. What is the best way of re installing MSFS. I would like to keep the original on D drive, but don’t know if it will wipe everything out on that drive. When I first installed MSFS, I chose the D drive, but I know MSFS still installs the EXE on the C drive. How should I go about installing MSFS, and keep on the D drive?

Try setting the msfs sound options to make sure both Main Device Output and Communication Device Output are set to the same sound device. If the communications is not set to the same, you can get stutters and the tip off is accompanied by strange sounds. Could be clicks or hissing/ whooshing which sounds like not properly tuned SSB VHF radio chatter.

Dunno what to make of it. While GSX has always generated a few stutters during pushback now it's become much worse and I haven't a clue why. Both MSFS 2020 and 2024 are tuned to perfection running super smooth so this really stands out. Of note it doesn't matter if I lock the rate to 30FPS, or my default 55FPS, or 60FPS, or wide open, it's no different and I mention this because when I mentioned the modest stuttering I saw way back when Virtuali told me I needed to lock the sim at 30FPS (oh yeah, sure!). When I run Lossless scaling, 3.1.0.2 it drops my frame rate 8-10 fps and makes the sim limited by CPU in MSFS 2024. I guess it uses a lot of processing power. It still doubles my frame rate but starts from a lower number. Is this a common problem? I don't remember this always happening. Did I miss a setting in the Nvidia app? Also, I tried to install dlssg to fsr3, but I guess I did something wrong as the option never showed up. I just downloaded it this week. I have a 3080 card. I even ran the disable NV signature.reg and restarted my computer but the option still didn't show up. I wanted to compare the results, but never was able to get dlssg working.

So, the LVFR version of KSAN in the marketplace indicates its compatible with MSFS2024, but using AIG, I am unable to get more than two Aircraft to spawn, and those aircraft are not active. Anyone else seeing the same, or have any ideas of a fix?

I have found that at two different (destination) airports are no (ILS) PROCedures to choose from in the GTN750 yet they are displayed for selection in LIttleNavMan. The 'problem' airports are YWLM and YSRI. I assume that it might have something to do with Navdata however as far as I am concerned the ILS has existed at both airport for years, One airport (YWLM) shares with the military (ie commercial and military aitrport) and the other airport (YSRI) is a military airport. Could this be the reason? It's annoying that LNM shows then but GTN750 doesn't.

Does anyone knows how to uninstall Just Flight Traffic? I checked under programs, I looked in community folder....not sure if it has different name somewhere or it's a mystery....Once in Sim I see it...but can't find where it is....

With the best intentions in the world, I bought Active Sky, a little fed up with seeing such blue skies and few clouds on the horizon. I know Asobo's weather forecast is very good, but I checked Rex Weather Force and Xenviro, and finally decided on Active Sky. My surprise is that, upon arriving in Madrid, the METAR is predicting broken clouds at 6500 and 5000, and also at 8000, but I find a thin layer of clouds at 9000. This kind of thing baffles me. Why is it so easy to provide METAR information if it's actually ineffective? Ok, so I've reinstalled 2020 cause i was getting sick of not being able to fly the Max 8. I'm having a slight issue however. It seems that if I press escape for any reason, when i go to resume the flight the engines shut off. I checked and don't have ESC mapped to anything other than toggle pause. I've tested it numerous times now. Am I missing something simple?

Hi folks, I had the beta update on FS2024 so that I could properly run the inibuilds A350 but since the last update, FS2024 has moved the Community folder into my C drive in the appdata folder and will not let me move it back to where it originally was on another drive. I set it through the marketplace/library/little cog menu but it just reverts back to the appdata file as soon as I select it. This has been brought up on the MSFS forum but no solution suggested as far as I can see. Has anyone had this? What can I do? I haven't got enough space on the C Drive for my community folder. What GPU drivers are you using? I'm having a few driver problems which are crashing my system.

Just checked out the Augusta National Golf Club, site of today's Masters Tournament. The fairways and greens which are usually pristine have waist high weeds in the sim. I suspect all golf courses are this way. I know my local one is.

Has always been the Albatross D.iii. Not the D.ii or D.iv, only the D.iii. I suppose because of the Red Baron sim, LOL.

Due to random crashes in MSFS2024 that would completely restart my PC, I decided to do a complete reinstall of windows 11. However, even since reinstalling I’ve not been able to get g-sync to work with MSFS2024 again (it is working elsewhere such as the nvidia pendulum demo and did work before). I have an AW3225QF G-Sync compatible monitor with an RTX4090 and checked all the settings in NVCP related to G-sync are turned on and also forced though global and MSFS profiles. I’ve also turned the G-sync indicator on but is not showing in MSFS2024 (before reinstall it would work). I’m running MSFS in full screen mode. Anyone any idea on what other settings to check?

So, I had this great idea that it would be nice to have 24GB VRAM so I bought an AMD RX 7900XTX to swap out from my Nvidia 4080 (can't afford to lay down $7k local currency for a 5090) Now, MSFS 2024 will not load beyond 54% (Loading World Data ...) and my system shuts down and reboots. Hello 🍻 I had to do some changes in AL after SU1 because some of the more advanced features of the tool were not working anymore as they should because the StreamedPackage folder location was changed and entries named differently. ***FOR ME. MY EXPERIENCE OF JUST TODAY. ANNECTDOTAL FOR NOW*** Been flying 2024 since day one. I’m very familiar and capable with both the default Neo and Max. Have been flying them successfully for many weeks now. Both work as expected. Nominal. Got tired of the default liveries and noted that today on MP it had official “2024” liveries for both planes. I can no longer control cockpit or external views. Freelook (right-click assigned) does not function and the view is now constantly tilting down (the view keeps rising upward in external view). When this happened a few years ago, I was able to add right-click to the vertical and horizontal axis, but that approach does not work now. Needless to say, I can no longer fly. Any ideas?
