Wondering as the weather is stunning and the effects on the windshield too. Has anyone seen a video when Flying through heavy rain ? Do we get massiv water on the shield or still "drops" ?

The fact that Vatsim is partnered with Microsoft Flight Simulator, I am curious to know If additional software will be needed, (especially for voice communication), Does this mean I can start a VFR flight anywhere in the world at any time, and expect full coverage from startup to shutdown? I had membership with Vatsim years ago but quit using it because of the sporadic coverage, and times. Just wondering what to expect.

Hello excited simmers I have a small download limit at my work residence so I’m thinking of taking my machine home to unlimited broadband this weekend to purchase and pre download the release. Is the game downloaded in full or almost full upon pre purchase? Thanks

To those who have this sim already, is there a way to shut off the 'User ID' splashes I keep seeing all over the screen in screenshots of FS? The latest update from Microsoft I'm seeing this again and never got around to ask. It would aggravate me to no end to have this all over my screen while I'm in a flight. Not sure if this has been asked before but I'm just wondering.

I have carefully compared MSFS 2020 and MS Flight (2012) and found that there are no differences; scenery, texture, sky, weather, A/C, flight dynamic, realism, immersion etc. All parameters are exactly the same. Only the name of the simulator has change and some bird and water improvement has being added. I had high expectations for MSFS 2020 but now I am very disappointed. I will continue to use my faithful Flight Simulator 5.1 and save my money for a pair of new shoes (for my two feet).

Will it be possible to record a specific path for the drone to fly through a scene?

Somebody's been recreating my flight sim landing skills in real life!😲 See the first 2 minutes of this video.😀 Which is my polite way of saying, if you think we've seen some bad piloting skills in alpha and beta videos so far, just wait till after release when we're all let use on it with our various skills and procedures (or lack of!). Be kind, enjoy the ride, and try not to be too critical of others' abilities. We're all here to enjoy it, but we each have our own way of doing that.🙂

FS2020 is arriving soon for those mortal people like me who did not get the chance to play it in the early stages of development. As a good "simmer" I have already pre-ordered on Steam and will install it on day 1. One thing that I have noticed is to how many things I have thought about doing it when I load it the first time. A short flight on the C172 or straight jump to the big jets? Hi all I have pre-ordered the premium deluxe version of FS2020 about a month ago and installed the small file less than 30mb. I just went on the microsoft store and pressed "checked for updates" and it downloads a 1.03GB update for FS2020. I wonder if this is starting to download day by day so as not to overload the servers on the 18th. Has anyone else noticed this?

A couple of times a year I visit the Eeaglesoft Development Group website to see whether anything new is happening in the world of GA bizjets. I see no activity. Have Eaglesoft announced anything in regards to developing for MSFS 2020?

So, seeing the videos and such I assume it is Garmin avionics in the GA aircraft? Also assume with the navdata provider that comes with the sim it will be updated every 28 days? If both are yes, can anyone recommend a good place to learn how to operate the system online? As a long time Airbus and Boeing guy, getting into GA for a few months until the big birds are ready will be refreshing but want to learn the systems first. Thanks

As each day goes by, and as I keep seeing various videos and comments regarding MSFS 2020, I question whether there can really be any competition for this sim. I know, I know, of course there will be co-existing sims like P3d, Xplane, and even FSX (can't believe this one). I still enjoy, at this time, using P3d, but when I really examine what's coming in several days, I seriously think there will be NO OTHER FLIGHT SIM that could even compete.
