Microsoft Flight Simulator (2020/2024)

I have an older dell Desktop and noticed that there is a minimum specs requirement to run Fsim 2020. My processor is an Inter I7-3770 3.4ghz and the video card is an AMD Radeon hd7500. will this combination be able to run the 2020 Fsim? Thanks

Almost every flight now. I have a Steam install, Premium Deluxe, purchased about 2.5 weeks ago. Only mods presently installed are the A320 fbw, and Navigraph. I find it hard to believe they are the issue, or a lot of others would be having the same problem. Checking Discord, and the forums, this is not the case. Sure I could remove them, but it's not the issue, for the reasons I gave above. And, this has only really started in the last 2 or 3 days, this bad. I've also tried various combinations of other mods, and still get the ctd's. And yes, it's the same with no mods. System is i5-9600k, 1080ti, 32gb ram, Win 10 Pro. I am thinking of buying this, however I have read that it only uses bush strip's and not medium sized airports. I hate bush strip's, too hard to find. Could some please confirm this? Also, are you able to add waypoints to the flight plan it assigns you? Many thanks in advance. John

I was so excited a year ago when I heard about FS 2020, I started planning for it back then. Did a lot of research, waited for the specs, checked numerous sources, and once it was launched decided on a top of the line PC just for the sim.... I was pumped up and ready! The sim runs word not allowed near perfect, none of the major issues others seem to have. I waited 2 months after the sim was released to be sure of the specs before buying the machine...I-7....RTX 2080...32 gigs RAM......and in the months since, it sits there on it's own desk, complete with CH yoke, throttle, pedals....and about 5 hours total time, a few of which were spent just 'tweaking' it. …

While researching TBM data to see if I could get a better idea of proper touchdown technique, I stumbled across this recommended sequence for a precision approach from Daher. Apparently, a number of pilots/owners had been touching down at too steep of an angle and there had been a number of propeller strikes (that's one heck of a big prop out there). Is there anything available now or in the near future that would get real time live traffic the correct liveries, like Ultimate Traffic live for example? I thought I read about something but can't remember the name and am having trouble locating it. Right now, I get a few default liveries and a few AI liveries (based on liveries that i have downloaded for myself to fly with) parked at random gates. Thanks!

I notice that in the A320 FBW Mod, I get stuttering in my lower left view when in the captain view. Looking forward and panning the cockpit is smooth, but in my left "peripheral" left window I almost get stutters all of the time. Is there a setting that I can reduce that would potentially help? Most of my settings right now are high/ultra so if there is one area that would cause this, i'd like to investigate. My frames are right around 30 when I get this as well. Thanks!

Ive spend some time looking at IRL Photos etc and IMO the standard view point is well off from the VC standard view. Here are two shots showing the eye height on the side window frame. Here after some time are the setting I now have to imo get the view right. The Standard/default view now looks like this. I have only two custom view as I use TrackIR Just looking straight out. My Default 95% of the time. and the second custom view for ...well it speaks for itself. You will be amazed how much better the views are, not that they are bad from default but its personly taste etc but IMO this is how it should be. …

Hey, folks, sorry if similar topic has been discussed, but didn't find such. Noticed that the runway ahead is blurry. Also, ground itself looks like blurry. The roads are washed out but forming up upon flying over. My settings are on ultra, just lowered some parameters. But tweaked nvidia settings. I think that nvidia setting is the cause of the issue. But not sure which setting exactly... Any ideas on that?

I am only flying about 35-40% of my hours in MSFS for various reasons discussed by many ad nauseum in other topics. But when I fly in MSFS I am getting greatly tired of hearing ATC refer to most traffic as Generic this and Generic that. Here a Generic, there a Generic, everywhere a Generic Generic. It is causing me to avoid tuning active ATC frequencies until I need ATIS. Oh my! Don't go there either... Can anyone write a mod that takes a handful of other name labels and apply them randomly within the MSFS ATC to replace use of "generic"?

Instead of building my (IFR)- flightplans with the MSFS tool inside the app I prefer to use Simbrief to plan my flight. There is an option/ a button to load this file BUT unfortunately this does not allways work as I wished sometimes it works, sometimes not, I did not yet get the system behind it. - after loading the flightplan MSFS allways puts the departure to a runway. Since generations we flightsimmers do not start our flights with running engines on the runway but properly cold and dark at the gate. So I try to change my start position to a gate. Especially EU and Asian approach plates are so confusing. It looks like they have no standard I am looking for the ILS frequency, IMO the most important item that should be on Top like in Jeppesen plates. and I can't find it. I had an external view mapped to the button on top of the joystick that allowed me, in External View, (Not Drone Cam), to push the button sideways & slowly rotate around the aircraft, with the aircraft centered in the view. I think I held the button rather than toggled with it. I could also move the camera up or down & stop the view where I wanted it, in relation to the aircraft. I have lost that mapping' & now have 'snap to view' , LHS, RHS, Front & back of the aircraft, when I push on the side of the button. Anyone recall the mapping that give the smooth transitions rather than snap to view? T45

Just did the RATT approach straight in to LOWI - INNSBRUCK. Just Face-planted this in the A320NX - I have a feeling it would have been the same in the Default A320. Can some kind pilot give me the settings for the Controllers that work because I seriously didn't make it turning FINAL; it was sooo slow. I didn't have time to correct the drift and landed sideways and went off the end of the runway. Just post Controller Settings that are working. Thanks in advance. Will. This was the APPR.

This days a update come in V.1.2 ( over Orbx Central as i ordered it there ) and after that i would say it is just not usable anymore for me; the frames and the stutters are horrible now wtih V.1.1 ( last ) it was still OK so far.. Anyone else who uses this scenery noticed something like that too ? 🤔 cheers 😉

Hi Folks. Oldish flight simmer here, so please excuse the senior moment. Is there a way to move/remove the airport name tab in the Flight Planning screen? I find that it always covers up some of the parking spots. Cheers...Kenny.

For those fed-up with the overdone icing effect, including me, when I just happen to graze a cloud and completely freeze the screen (flight over then for me normally!). Go to keyboard settings and search for 'toggle'. Expand all of course, and make sure it shows 'unassigned' as well. If you scroll down you will find 'TOGGLE WINDSHIELD DEICE'. I assigned this to the i key (for ice), as that doesn't seem to be currently taken. If your screen gets iced up, you can then just press ' i ' in the sim, and within about 20 seconds, the ice will melt off - flight recovered! Hi all, Is there a way to disable the controllers ? I am using the Prosim 737 NG and all my controllers are assigned in Prosim. Up to now I have made an extra profile for the yoke, pedals and tiller in MSFS , Made them default and set all Sensitivity sliders to the left. In P3D you can Disable controllers and I am looking for the same in MSFS. Thanks in advance.

good morning, I installed MSFS20, release 1.12.13.0, I use a peripheral logitech flight yoke system, driver 8.0.116.0 aileron command goes jerky, how to adjust it? thanks for any suggestions. I tried to install Logitech drivers 8.0.313.0, but the installer downloaded from the logitech website doesn't work. good day.

I hit 500 'official' hours in the sim. It's been a wild ride for sure. Lots of crazy landings, some crashes, some amazing views and lots of new airports visited. Oh and a couple 24,000 mile high spikes (hehehe). I've flown mostly in the 172, Cirrus and TBM (the TBM is my current OnAir workhorse). The Garmin mods have been a life saver for sure. Well that's it. Off to work on some cockpit setups for my Carenado stable. Happy and safe flying to everybody.
