Hi, I'm trying the Neo with FBW and both flights the AP started circling the current random waypoint with the next waypoint clearly displayed in nav. I tried to disengage AP and manually fly back to the track then back to nav and it keeps circling. I'm kind of new to the A320 and maybe I'm making a rookie mistake but it all looks ok. Appreciate any suggestions. Thanks, Doug

I have a Trackir device installed and I can set the various functions such as "Centre", "Pause" and "Precision" working with keyboard controls in MSFS however, I would very much like to use these Trackir controls using buttons on my Hotas Warthog Cougar throttle or stick buttons rather than a keyboard. Can anyone let me know if this is possible and how to do it? I would be most grateful for a "How to".

Myself and my Flight Sim Network partner have been stupid. For those that have been following on stream will know we have complained for some time about how slippy the A320 is. It just runs like a rocket even at idle taxi. Then a light bulb moment meant we realised what we had been doing wrong. This video is to help anyone unsure like we were.

I have not flown MSFS in about 2 months. I haven't flown P3D in about 3 months. MSFS' graphics and immersion ruined P3D for me. MSFS's flaws made it frustrating. So off I went to DCS to see if I could master their A-10C (still working on it). Today I went back to MSFS to see if things had improved. Picked the TBM and decided to take a short flight from CYYT Billy Bishop. On the real weather setting the grass was green, no snow, the temperature plus 19C. Anyone who is anywhere near Toronto knows we are going through a very cold wave, snow, ice etc. After 6 months I am disappointed that Asobo can still not get the weather right, I mean it's wildly off. So …

Howdy! I love Carenado planes, but would prefer to see me and my wife in them (our in game models are pretty close!) - has anyone figured out how we can replace the models with the stock MSFS models? I reached out to Carenado but they were unwilling to assist with this request.

The ORBX's version of Paris Landmarks has been released earlier today: https://orbxdirect.com/product/landmarks-paris-msfs The initial comments from the first users are mainly related to performance loss, compared to other complex scenery in the sim. ORBX had announced earlier this week that the product required further optimization before its release. There's another version of Landmarks for the city of light, from a french developer, Prealsoft, available at SimMarket: https://secure.simmarket.com/prealsoft-paris-landmarks-msfs.phtml Waiting a bit before embarking in any of the two. Looks to me ORBX's version is more detailed, also with a lot of …

I have FS2020 installed for a week and have not been able to figure out how to incrementally reduce power in the training Cessna. The controls are all in default mode, From what I see, F2 should decrease the RPMs of the engine. When I use F2, the RPMs go to idle or zero and then I have to restart the engine. Am I missing something, or is it a bug? Pressing F3 brings the engine to full speed, and after awhile the plane gets overstressed and crashes. Any suggestions? Thanks.

Waited until last week to purchase fs2020. Reason: I wanted a few decent payware aircraft to go with it. I picked the Piaggio and Carenado Mooney. Expected to find a 50 page manual (Mooney).... Well .. how on earth can you expect to operate this aircraft correctly without documentation. The answer is obvious - it is not designed for a deep study. - just jump in and add power. Been checking YouTube for better aircraft. Common: no documentation, low standard Except outside view. It really screams buy me! Had some hope for the new Aerosoft Arrow watching the promo video. Hoped to see something like A2A Comanche intro video. No just outside view for …

My clouds in this sim look fairly pixelated and more like styrofoam models than what I remember with FSX. Does anyone have any insider tips for smoother, more realistic looking clouds?

There does not appear to be a MSFS setting that will cause the co-pilot to call out (when appropriate during takeoff): "80 knots (100 knots?)," "V1," "V2," "Rotate," "Positive Rate," and, "Gear Up" (when the captain raises the gear). I believe this is a serious omission by MSFS. I'm surprised this oversight hasns't raised more objections among simmers. The absence of these is a big gap in simulation realism when we take off in sophisticated airplanes. No significant airline flight in the world takes off without this call-out regime. It is universally used and, hopefully, Asobo will include it in an upcoming upgrade. Thanks for any input.--Lee Graves

Well that was a challenge. With each mile I was waiting for the CTD to rear it's ugly head. Thankfully it didn't happen this time. The airspace was very busy and it was snowing. Thankfully I didn't take a hit on my OnAir job. Now to fly home.

Hi all. Has anyone gotten the Simbrief flight plan import to work in the A320NX? I have my simbrief user name in the options menu set up, but when I go to the INIT page and hit the "Init Request" button I get an error message "not in database. Not allowed". I'm not sure what is wrong here. I followed a YouTube video exactly as he did, and while it worked for him, I just kept getting the above message. Any ideas? Thanks.

I find moving the TBM's throttle into the cut off position to be extremely finicky, I often need several tries before it "sticks". Is there a way to map cut off to a button on the yoke or on the keyboard?

Are 3rd party apps and software something to skip at the moment due to SimConnect related CTDs? I have been getting random crashes with OnAir, LNM and any other app which uses SimConnect, what is your experience on the matter?

I keep trying to zoom (or pull back) the instrument panel view on landing or takeoff but that also changes the outside view at the same time. Is there a way to zoom the instrument panel without also zooming the outside environment at the same time ? Thanks !

Having a bit of a problem with the A320 MCDU.If for whatever reason I have to change my runway and approach from whatever was in the flight plan originally, I find that there is a 'USER' waypoint created, which is typically the last waypoint I have passed, and so the a/c does a 180 turn around to go back to this USER waypoint. I also find that trying to delete this waypoint does not work.Is there something I am doing wrong? Any assistance appreciated.

Has anyone noticed this or am I doing something wrong? Any time I start a flight with the TBM at a parking area. Taxi to runway. After takeoff I can't get the autopilot to engage. If I start at the end of the runway. After takeoff I have no problem engaging the autopilot. Thank You. Bill

What is more critical to smooth performance? Ram or CPU? Also, which looks better, MSFS 2020 at half sliders or FSX at full sliders with Ulitmate Terrain and GEX? Thanks

Is there an issue with live weather being depicted in the sim today? I did a flight out of KALB and the metar was reporting snow, various cloud layers and wind. That was reported in the real world and getting the metar in the A320. However, it was perfectly calm and clear in the sim. I heard good things about Unreal Weather so I decided to give that a try and installed it per the instructions. Same thing, I picked that preset, the sim preset metar was reporting what the real world was, but in the sim perfectly calm and clear. Is there an issue today?

Been flying now for about a month and I must this FS is brilliant, the graphics are outstanding and the experience of flying is amazing. However I do am some issues, can you people let me know if you have the same issues or is it just me ? Not in any priority order but ATC is often strange, ie when in flight, cancel IFR flight plan at this time, why ? on approach increase height to 10,000 when about 15 miles from touchdown, really ? co -pilot cancel IFR at this time, why ? Co -pilot can take off follow course then just wonders off course I have no idea why ? Push back at departure takes no consideration of any vehicle close to the aircraft. Push back does not happ…
