Microsoft Flight Simulator (2020/2024)

Hi all, Just received my thrustmaster tca for the a320, and now i was wondering if there is any possibilities out there to use the mcdu on an Ipad ? thank you in advance

Instead of trying to upgrade my current 15 plus year old Dell desktop I would like suggestions on a low to mid priced desktop that can run the Microsoft Fsim 2020. Thanks [email protected]

Trying to double check my settings before doing a stream later tonight and having some really weird behavior that I can't figure out. Just trying to see if anyone else has seen this and/or has any suggestions. For some reason when I fire up OBS and especially if I start a test stream, GPU usage goes from 70-90% down to like the teens even though MSFS is in focus and so of course in sim FPS tanks. Once it starts it will continue even if streaming/recording is shut off but the software is still open. This is only happening with MSFS but I'm assuming it's a sim or OBS config issue. I see many people streaming the sim though so I'm not sure what's up here.

I have tried twice to load the Microsoft Flight Simulator 2020 on my home system and twice has failed. I call Microsoft support who ran a check on my CPU/Video card and was told that I COULD Run the new Fsim 2020. I have an inter I7-3770 3.4ghz processor and the Amd Radeon HD-7500 video card. Can anyone give me an idea as to where my problem might be. There is a minimum equipment requirement for the fsim program (Intel I5-4460 and video of Radeon RX570) and have checked both my cpu/video benchmarks and I exceed the performance of both of these Items. I would appreciate any advice. Thank you.

I am not able to find documentation on annunciator panel and how it is linked to approach modes. But previous experience in other aircraft, it was not very difficult to figure out how it works. There are a few YouTube tutorials, but I do not find them very good. My short guide is not intended for experienced pilots - explaining STAR and transition.. When attempting a flight with a prop aircraft . more often than not the engine will just stop and die on the take-off run, even though I have plenty of fuel. If I manage to get off the ground, I have to try an engine restart using CTL E Am I missing something in the initial settings ?

Many of us who enjoy using offline (non Vatsim) ATC have recently noticed how the new atc system in MSFS really hasn't received the same love and attention that other portions of the new sim have, so... I just did a flight to ENZV doing the UNBU2S STAR. It has the typical fan/arc routing that temporarily routes away from the airport before turning back toward the IAF and the ILS. This arc usually is skipped in the default sim, and the ONLY plane that would do this correctly is the WT CJ4. Today it actually worked in the A320NX FBW. I am wondering if this is was a one off, and will have to do more testing. It hasn't been working for me since release, so if Asobo either did a silent update to this through their server, or FBW updated their devmode plane, that would be a real big thing for me and probably many others. I recently got my new machine, which is doing wonderous stuff. I'm now running in 1440 at full ULTRA settings quite happily and have limited the frame rate in game to 30FPS as I personally don't need the 50/60 FPS I was getting. It also helps keep the temps down a tad in the machine.. however, when I wswitch to menu, either before flight or in-flight.. the FPS goes screaming up to around 900FPS and starts driving all the fans and the GPU like crazy, which just seems daft. I would have thought that wasting framerate in the menus is something that could be sorted fairly easily without just having an unlimited rate or using the settings locked at 30 to also limit t…

Hi all, did any of you realize that the propeller shadows look like filmed instead of looking at them with bare eyes? They are flickering all over the place, staggering like they never do in reality. I know that there is a mod correcting the similar wrong looking prop discs, but is there also a fix for those shadows somewhere? Thanks for any heads up...

Hi all I was happily flying around the Philippines in the Carenado Mooney, plenty of fuel, AP on for Alt and Nav and suddenly the Mooney veered off to the left, nose dived, completely uncontrollable, did a couple of loops before crashing into the sea. I have absolutely no idea why this might have happened. Has anyone else experienced this with the Mooney or any other aircraft for that matter? Thanks

I thought I'd pass this along for the less computer literate amongst us. While struggling with very poor frame rates and stuttering and after reading all in the forums. I tried most of the suggestions but nothing really helped. I was stuck at 10-12 FPS, sometimes stuttering would be minimal, sometimes not. So I resorted to asking my son who does computer coding for advise. He sat down and examined the settings and used some of the tools mentioned here. At one point he "fixed" it with FPS of 35-40+ , not bad for i5-6500, 16 GB and GTX1660Ti. So I was happy. Hmm, I think I may have stumbled on to a way to resolve the issue where the IAS hold won't engage. It seems that once in the air, if I move the controls back and forth, eventually they hit the sweet spot that activates the IAS hold.

I just reinstalled FSX to take some lessons again, and I am in awe. It's comprehensive. It's deep. It's step by step guidance with text, pictures, and real mission tutoring with the legendary Rod Machado. I really wish these fantastic lessons can be incorporated into MSFS. Good lesson is a necessity for any flight simulation, and it's especially so for MSFS as it is meant to attract a much larger new population into this hobby.
