Microsoft Flight Simulator (2020/2024)

Up until just recently I was able to zoom in and out in the cockpit, also on the outside view. But recently, I cannot use the zoom feature. I thought it was my mouse so I replaced it, but it is not a mouse problem. Everything else seems to work properly but no matter what I do I cannot get the zoom function to work. Does anyone have any idea as to how to get the zoom feature on my mouse to work? Thanks.

Not a lot of detail on what the full specs and sim settings but if true I think the 5800x and the 5900x will be the processor for the simmer. They release today for anyone who doesn’t know.

I am running MSFS 2020 Ver 1.12.13 under W-10 on a gaming computer...my X52 Pro is several years old but is recognized by FS and I can configure it... driver version is 8.0.213.0 (I believe)...the only problem is that when I try to increase throttle on an aircraft, the engine(s) die(s)...I think this problem began recently and I can't find the solution...even reset the X52 to its default settings in FS and that did not help... nor did reinstalling the driver... Any help appreciated... John H.

In external view I don't see pilots inside aircrafts (none of them). In model.cfg the 4 options are all set to "true". What else can I do ?

I often have an issue with the trim in the 747 and I'm wondering if it's just me. A lot of times, after take off I will see the elevator trim indicator will show the trim as having gone all the way back (up) and the aircraft becomes almost impossible to control. The only thing I can do is take it back on manual, set the trim again and get the plane back down. Because as soon as I re-engage the AP it trims all the way up again. Anyone else?

I know this topic is all over this forum but now the sim wont load after the initial bad music page. any ideas would help.

Marketplace is grayed out in my MSFS already for a few days. Tried a bit all i could find on the net but no joy. Server connection is set to "Automatic" (it's the only option) but it never connects. The connection icon keeps turning into oblivian. Signing out and signing in again into my account, all possible, Windows Store, no problem, but connection to MSFS Marketplace, just no joy. Anybody elese?

During all my latest flights, maybe since the last update (not sure), the weather is always perfectly clear. I always fly with live weather and even if the ATIS tells me about visibility 3 and clouds at various altitudes, I never see a single cloud and visibility is always perfect, CAVOK, more than 10 NM. I have been flying at different places and times, at day, at night, in France, in Madeira, in California, and weather is always clear despite what the ATIS indicates. In addition, altimeter is ALWAYS 29.92... Did you notice the same or did I do something wrong? I thought it was a known bug that had been fixed... Thanks for your help.

I notice that some games with HDR support that upon launching will automatically switch Windows over to HDR mode, and when you quit, set it back to your default. Seems like MSFS doesn't have this feature. I have an HDR display that I play on and sometimes I forget to switch HDR mode on in Windows before launching the game. Is there a way to get MSFS to automatically do this?

Morning! This one's a really nice airport in a part of the world that has traditionally been under-represented by add-on sceneries, at least in the MS/LM world. There are a few issues with it, which the developer has committed to fixing, but overall I really like it. I live-streamed a flight from Dubai to here and found it a really nice change from the European/North American flying I usually do.

I was looking forward to flying into this airport for the first time as I lived in the area for a number of years. No issues coming in - I landed and taxied to parking OK. The next day, I attempted (for over an hour) to initiate a flight (TBM) out of Midway - after 3 attempts, I gave up: Began taxiing to my assigned runway when suddenly I had no braking. I tried everything to get the aircraft to stop (even reverse thrust) - there was no control and the aircraft taxied into a hangar and was destroyed. Rebooted sim. Last week MSFS wanted another update, at 105Gb in size. Didn't realized until a few attempts and a few days later it appears to be the same update as December 1.12.13.0 Finally got it running again today, but now I only have 2 aircraft in my hanger. This is the steam version. Who knows what else is missing. Anyone know how to remedy and check this? Very frustrated now to the point of stripping it off my system and be done with it.

About to rip my f****** hair out. With IFR flights I usually get the approach after my last waypoint. This example is KLAS to KSAN with the last waypoint being PSP VOR. When taking off it looked like rwy 27 was active in KSAN and had the (WT) G1000 set for the approach with “Lyndi” transition. All good, after PSP I was heading toward Lyndi...then I get the approach Rwy 9 with Gatto transition. Great... I go to select rwy 9 with Gatto, “activate”the approach and the plane makes a reverse turn back to PSP. Of course a minute later the PC locked up and I was PO’D!! On the way to Vegas with Danby being the last waypoint before I received the approach, same thing happened but…

I'd like to promote two topics from the official forums wishlist that are most annoying to me: 1. Automatic pop up of logbook while shutting down the engines. Apart from killing the immersion this has another downside: If you choose "continue" to finish the flight in a way that befits a simulation a new entry in the logbook is created showing zero values if you quit to the main menu thereafter making the logbook more convoluted than necessary. 2. Ground vehicles on taxiways. I have switched them off but I would rather have them using their own lanes. So here is a list of bugs I discovered so far. Bad: 1. When fuel pump is on, fuel pressure dashes pass red tick or max 8 psi 2. Turning off left or right magneto for given engine doesn't effect RPM. RPM should drop! 3. Blue tick at Vy 88kts is missing on airspeed indicator 4. Shutting down fuel valve doesn't shut down engine right away. Usually it take 5 to 10 seconds 5. Day/night switch inop Good: 1, Can feather engine, shut down and restart 2. Cowl flaps seems affect both speed and cylinder temperature 3. Can sync prop using engine sound aka wawa 4. Bit of a n00b question, as I only really fly MSF2020 (I do dip in and out of other Sims) the chances are this is the only Flight Sim I'll ever buy content for, I had already heard of ORBX and it's quite clear to me they produce some of the best looking Scenery/Airport add-ons around. So for future reference, Would it be beneficial/better to use ORBX Central over the in game Marketplace? I see some Updates for the Marketplace take weeks to get updated (although as I understand it Asobo are looking to improve upon this). I am using Little Navmap to create my flight plans. I am doing KLAX-KSFO. I fly offline without ATC. So is it okay to include the SID/STAR/APPROACH in my flight plan? Or will this mess up when I load the flight plan into sim? I will be flying the FBWA32NX.

Ok so I haven't really seen anybody else complain about this so maybe it's just a nit-pick of mine, but WHY is there no wing flex on the Longitude?? It's so disappointing especially since I was so impressed by the wing physics that the airliners have. I know it doesn't flex a whole lot IRL but the plane just looks so lifeless to me. It's a shame too because I genuinely like the aircraft. Just a few degrees would be nice...
