Microsoft Flight Simulator (2020/2024)

Hello Does anyone else has this issue with the KDFW scenery, the terminals and ramps appears totally dark at night. I have not seen this issue discussed in any forum, so was curious to find out. Created a Zendesk ticket, but was closed saying "Solved" with no success. Any help will be much appreciated. Thanks.

I fly a variety of aircraft, and have gotten used to creating a separate Airbus 320 joystick plus Keyboard profile to maximise functionality. (I also use SpadNext and StreamDeck to give me the best possible control over my aircraft.) EG: setting up the A320 to use my Airbus Joystick to set the Throttle reverse on a button so I can hit it quickly immediately after landing. The keyboard is not an acceptable option as my hands are too busy doing the flare and roll out.:-)) Does anyone know if it is possible to save these control setups somewhere locally (I know they go into the cloud) so I could reload them more easily than having to click thru "n" setups in the …

After having been using MFS mostly with photogrammetry and streaming disabled, to get a better performance from my rig, I decided to enable it again, like from the Alpha days, and strangely / unexpectedly, I ended up getting better performance + the beautiful visuals of the places I fly over, some of them well known to me from RL flying, reproduced like only MFS can. Well, I can feel unhappy at times due to the quirks with some aspects of the sim, but heck - this really is ASTOUNDING !

I know this has been talked about but I cant believe that I such hard stutters no matter what the settings even on low. I have 32 G ram, new MSI ROG Hero motherboard, Intel I9 10900KF 3.7 OC 5.0. Nvidia 1080. I know the 1080 is older but I upgraded the MB and Chip but it still has hard stutters. Is anyone else have this issue? Are there any solutions? I am not looking to run it at Ultra just medium-high. I see videos that look so smooth I keep thing I am missing something. Thanks

Any way to prohibit the logbook displaying automatically at the end of flight (when th eengine is switched off)? It ruins the immersion, when you are doing your engine shutdown checklist.

Hey! Has anyone figured out if its possible to edit the logbook? I'd really like to get rid of all those short "test hops" and only keep the "real" flights. Best regards

Since the last 2-3 patches all I get is CONSTANT CTDs with EVERY flight on my VANILLA sim. Seems that VCRUNTIME140.dll is the error. This is so frustrating as it was fine before previous patches. Before I get into the details I have submitted a trouble ticket to SpadNext but it has been a week without a reply so I thought I would ask fellow simmers if they have encountered anything close to what I am experiencing as it may not be a SpadNext issue. 1. Started MSFS with either the C172 or C172 G1000 model. 2. Started SpadNext - all Logitech panels and controls working properly. 3. I have deleted all Logitech control assignments found in MSFS to make sure there is no double-assignments that could cause some form of mixed communication issues. I love flying the CubCrafter XCub with the WT x-v0.1.0 dev5 mod - the autopilot and navigation seems to work better than any other GA aircraft I've flown. However, today on my approach to KFHR (Friday Harbor, San Juan Island, Washington State, USA) RWY 34 it performed several tricks I've not seen before and do not understand. I have the Garmin G3X manual and study it at times but I cannot find this stuff yet. I had not loaded or activated a Flight Plan but there was an "old" flight plan in the G3X from a prior flight. What is the preferred time to disengage the autopilot when performing an ILS landing?

Anybody noticed that yesterday evening US ET a good number of well-known and important brazilian airports like Santos Dumont (Rio de Janeiro), Salgado Filho (Porto Alegre), Fernando de Noronha, etc., were posted for download at Flightsim.to, but were retired all of them several hours later after being denounced for apparently having stolen content?. On the Longitude A/C ,this may have been brought up before but I have noticed that if you set the V speeds on the centre GPS panels, they are not reflected in the capt side panel. e.g if you set a V1 of 100Ks in the centre, the side panel V1 indication is blank. Any Ideas. Kev M

I’ve seen a number of YouTube livestream videos now where it looks like they are using STKP because there is a streaming overlay up top with altitude, eta, speed, etc. then on landing they get a pop up with the same theming that shows the landing FPM. Anyone know what this is? It’s not STKP I asked over on their discord and they had no idea.

Having successfully completed several flights with the Cessna 208B mod (which included the WT g1000 mod in accordance with the C208 package instructions), I set up a flight this morning to an airport with a non-precision (VOR) approach with weather near minimums. After a nice 1 1/2 hour flight I approached my destination and dialed in the VOR. No CDI appeared - the center needle that would normally indicate radial position wasn't there. I could tune the VOR, set the course (the course pointer was visible), but, no CDI. Without the indicator needle I could not intercept a radial or fly the approach. Really, the weather system needs so much improvement. I flew into NYC earlier today, with the storm we all know is taking place. Vis was low, snow on the ground, etc. Sounds good. Right now, I'm making another low and slow flight out of JFK. Not a cloud in the sky, snow is gone, etc. Something doesn't add up.

I'm sure things will change once the EFB gets released, but in the current stable or dev releases, does the simbrief upload get the simbrief data into the MCDU only or does it also load the plane? I have heard both and wasn't sure what was accurate. If the latter, I think the data wouldn't match 100%. I saw a Youtube video that said you need to still manually do it, but I also saw a video that said it loads the aircraft too.

If I set the left knob to select “CRS”, the right knob properly rotates the VOR 1 needle in the OBS. However, if I select VOR 2 in the CDI, turning the Bravo's right “increase/decrease” knob generates no response; it does not move the VOR 2 needle around the OBS. How can I configure the OBS for VOR 2 to work the way VOR 1 does??
