The above airstrip (EGRO in the sim) has been placed around half a mile or so North West of its actual location, at least for me. I landed where I saw an airstrip and was surprised when the GPS map showed me short of my destination, Spawning at EGRO is the same - I'm in the wrong place. Is that the same for everyone else? The 'false' airstrip is populated by a couple of AI aircraft so the sim certainly thinks it's in the right location. (Correct location is 50.42001482826555, -4.805157841207514).

Here is Flers airport created by Christophe. Flers - Saint-Paul aerodrome is a civil aerodrome, open to public air traffic, located in the town of La Lande-Patry, 1.5 km west of Flers in the Orne region. It is used for the practice of leisure and tourism activities (light aviation and model aircraft). Owned by Roval Cosmetics (Anjac Group), its management is no longer carried out by the West Normandy Chamber of Commerce and Industry but by Flers Agglo. https://www.simvol.org/en/downloads/airports/flers

  4. I read this with great interest as it had been such a disappointment for me since original launch: New AIRAC cycle 2105 has been implemented FAA data has been implemented to our navdata solution So after updating I checked four airports I am familiar with where published approach procedures were absent, or where transitions were missing. KUMP, KBKL, KOJC, and KBUF. Here is a look at RNAV 23Y at KBUF. These transitions were not previously available. It even appears that it may provide for a procedure turn at TRAVA, though the flight plan screen in the G1000 lacks the detail to confirm that. Then I checked current weather via ATIS at all four …

  6. Driving me mad. I was on 1.15.10.0, which I thought was not that far out of date. I have not used MSFS for a couple of weeks and now it is re-installing the game (61.63 GiB) when I thougt an updated would be fine. This is a crazy arangement and you have no control over this. Is this punishment for not playing regularly?

  7. Hi Guys, Just trying to get back on the FS ladder again after giving up on FSX some years ago. It suffered blurries and frequent crashes. Was probably the hardware that wasnt up to it. Anyway have just a bought a new rig and thought I'd get back into this with FS2020. I'm reasonably happy the hardware will do it but this beast is more dependant on a good internet connection than FSX and unfortunately that is not a strong point nor is there anything I can do anything about. But, I'll take a punt! So I intend to download from Steam and there are a couple of questions I would like to ask: 1. Will having a poor internet connection (it occasionally goes down…

  10. Hi friends, MSFS n00b here and really enjoying it. While I would love the 3D terrain synthetic vision in the real world I do not like it in MSFS 😶 Is it possible to disable it in all planes that use it via some kind of tweak wizardry (a .cfg file someplace?) I have the Steam version, Premium Deluxe. Thanks 😀

https://orbxdirect.com/product/nz-mesh-msfs Thanks to scotchegg for bringing this interesting product to my attention yesterday. Despite the marginal improvements to the default mesh in its first iteration, this add-on promises to greatly reduce or eliminate the terrain morphing issues that appeared with the USA World Update, by compiling the lower levels of detail in a more consistent way. This could be huge. If anyone decides to purchase it, first impressions would be greatly appreciated!

  18. Anyone notice that the Carenado Mooney Ovation moving rudder trim marker in the rudder trim indicator disappears at some point as you zoom out the view in the cockpit? I run a 65" TV 4K so am zoomed out a fair bit and it's just enough to see the trim marker disappear at my optimal zoom. It's not as if the marker is below the TV dpi as it still has plenty of width just before it disappears. Thanks.

  19. Could anyone integrate the real world ATIS reports and "stream" them into the simulator when we tune our radio to any particular ATIS frequency? Surely this can be done - the MOD gurus have done some fantastic and incredible things thus far... this would "fix" our ATIS issue and be more realistic too! Especially once ASOBO fixes the LIVE weather feature. I don't know the first thing of programming something like this.. When I'm flying in the sim and need ATIS report, I just open in browser. Today I flew to KORL and used this: https://www.liveatc.net/search/?icao=korl

I saw someone recently state that the 747 wasn't limited to 250 kts below 10,000. Is this correct? I though it applied to all aircraft, and I haven't been able to find anything saying it was permitted.
