Microsoft Flight Simulator (2020/2024)

Is the FlyingIron Spitfire easier to land after the recent update? Previously I could make nearly perfect 3 point landing but had great difficulty controlling the plane to a stop after that. Usually ending in a spin out or crash. I downloaded and installed the update a few days ago and haven't had any trouble with the landing since. I'm just wondering if the update is the reason or did I just finally get the hang of it. Anyone else had this experience?

I'm close to buying MSFS 2020 to upgrade from FSX-SE. I would like to ask the community some questions but I'm wary, having already been gently hauled over the coals by moderators for asking about another sim platform/product, I see I may not ask questions on the FS2020 forum, so please can someone point me to the right place (if there is one on AVSIM)? I had to move MSFS to the D drive after my C drive ran out of space. Now it's not saving screenshots in the normal folder. I've looked on the C and D drive and can't find the saved pics. Does anyone know where screenshots are saved if you move the sim to another drive than the C drive?

So I decided to take the Mooney up for a spin and some weird things started happening. I kept noticing that the speed brakes kept deploying. At first couldn't figure it out but later found that every time I moved the throttle the speed brakes would extend. Also I went into the options menu a couple of times and every time I came out of the options menu, the flaps would fully extend and the speed brakes would also extend. Never had this happen before. Where do I start to try and figure this one out??

Hi, its happend the 2nd time: (first time the same happened by the US-World-Update) Last update today destroyed the install folders. they have changed from L:\to C:\ My MSFS was before on separate SSD The sim was installed in L:\WindowsApps\Microsoft.FlightSimulator_(version number)....__8wekyb3d8bbwe now after the last update all files are not on "L:\..."- the Folders are empty, so all Files i find now in C:\Users\username\AppData\Local\Microsoft\WindowsApps\Microsoft.FlightSimulator_8wekyb3d8bbwe also my community folder which was also on L:\MSFS_Download\Community, and this folder is now also on C:\Users\username\AppData\Local\Packages\Microsoft.Fl…

I think I have this down, but want to make sure I'm not missing anything. I'd love to have a way of assigning controller functions to LVARS like in FSUIPC back in P3D/FSX...i.e. a module that loads within the sim itself. No need to run any other program or .exe beyond the sim itself. So far all I'm finding are FSUIPC7, AAO, and Spad.next that all require starting and running a program outside of MSFS itself. Is there anything I'm missing. After becoming extremely tired of P3D reinstalls, I've really hoped to make MSFS a simple simulator with minimum outside input. How can one display the sim rate? After hitting the "R" key plus the "+" key the sim rate doubles each time this key combination is hit. But is it possible to display the selected rate on the FS2020 display? In P3D and FSX this could be accomplished by hitting Shift-Z if I remember correctly.. Thanks, Hans

I just started up MSFS and saw, for the first time, a small screen appear saying "Launching Game" the instant that I pressed the game icon. Previously, we'd press the icon and wait 15 or 20 seconds before anything at all appeared on the screen. To the novice, it looked like something was wrong. Now, this "Launching Game" screen appears instantly. Has anyone else seen this yet? I started up MSFS about an hour ago and the screen wasn't there. It just appeared within the hour. Anyone else?

Good evening, Got a quick question regarding the flight planning map in msfs. It keeps resetting my filters and settings everytime I start the Sim and I'd really like to save my settings. Is there a way to do so? Best regards Tom

He is the only one who has made France mesh (15m). What I find remarkable is that his 10m mesh packages are way smaller in the size than the Trogladylus mesh at the same resolution. So I was wondering if the Taburet meshes do not cover all of the countries. And it looks that the FSDT Swiss mesh is also larger in size at the same resolution. Thousands of people are have the same issue of not being able to run FS. I have the same issue as many, it hangs on the "Press any key to Start". At this point I think Ms store has issues, (2) client installs from the ms store, the game (shows 990.1 MB) and digital content 10 MB). Install pops up stating 127 GB of drive space required, plenty of room on my C-drive, so I hit install, applet windows disappears, and there is no sign of an install anywhere. I estimate with my connection that a file download requiring 127 GB if drive space would take a good (2) hours, wherein as mine only takes 30 seconds I even went through the nightmare of update Win 10 to v2004, still…

This is pretty neat, briefly tried it out yesterday and it worked great in VR. Something free to use until Asobo release their own in game replay system. "Sky Dolly records and replays basic simulation variables such as the aircraft position and attitute and basic flight controls such as rudder, ailerons, elevators, flaps and gear position. The record frequency can be specified (and even changed during recording), in order to minimise the amount of recorded data. Ok, sorry to make such a tabloid headline, but oh my god! I just downloaded the latest version of the b78x mod, and what do I see? A WORKING LNAV that doesnt mess up STARS, approaches and transitions! The WT was first out making this happen, and the good guys at FBW have been busting their butts off trying to implement the WT version of the LNAV into their airbus. Well, what do you know? The people working on the b78X has actually made it happen already, and I didn't even know! I am pretty speechless right now..! Today i installed the Developer mode Version of the FBW A320 ( c4918cd ) to do a flight because a couple of time now i did none, so i tought to install a new version. But after start i did not get the AP to on/work it won`t stay on so i restarted the flight and same thing happend again. I closed MSFS started new set all stuff, and at start the same thing 😌 After i closed MSFS once more i installed the Experimentel Version and this one worked fine. So what happens with the Developer, i tought we should install the Dev. mode version and i did first, but the AP does not keep to on, so only a bad Verson or what happens ?? Can i find any help …

When I land at International airports and view other commercial planes scattered about even with live traffic turned on, most of them are yellow or other nondescript colours with only a few painted in liveries I would expect. Is this because I have only downloaded a few liveries for personal use, do I need to download megapacks or something to see static and live planes in better liveries?

I knew that could happen one day ... I've accidentally purchased one product twice. I have owned Seattle landmarks already (purchased via ORBX some time ago) but purchased it again via MSFS marketplace. My fault! But what bothers me, I got a warning "product already in community folder" but this warning came AFTER I had clicked the BUY button just when it was going to install. Couldn't they show this alert earlier during the purchase process? How do you manage your payware add-ons. Is there any chance how I could undo my stupidness?

I haven't seen much G1000 improvement with the latest update and my experience is that it is still far from the level of the xplane G1000. Has anyone heard plans or timing to have a more functional G1000? Thanks, Doug

I would hope that those annoying USR/USER waypoints issue would be fixed by now, but they still appear in my flight plans. Is this something Asobo plans to address? The only 2 planes I fly mostly with flight plans are the FBW A320 and the TBM930 with WT mods.
