Microsoft Flight Simulator (2020/2024)

There is an 474Mb update since today which I dont know what it is for, as the changelog is the same of the last update. Somebody knows about it ?

Hi, I'm not a real live pilot. I just wonder what's the estimated fraction of Steam Gauges / G1000 glass cockpits / GTN750s in the planes of today's average RL flight school. When I make a sightseeing flight now and then, I'm usually taken to 20+ years old C172s or R400s or the like and none of those I've been in so far had a glass cockpit. Often, these are flight school machines which just are used for sightseeing as a side income. Mainly, I am interested in the GA aircraft I find in MSFS. Thanks for any report, Michael

Haven't been on the sim for awhile. Decided to get on briefly to see how things were after the latest update. As I was logging on, a pretty good storm with rain and light hail was pelting my house. I wanted to see how real-time WX was looking. I set up a quick, no-frills VFR flight out of my old field, elevation, 6200 msl, about 40 miles South of my house. I used the VL3 just to have a good view. Fly-Now placed me on the runway in a very strong rain storm with visibility not more than a couple hundred feet at best (no - you wouldn't really fly in this!). I hadn't run the sim for a couple of days and it wouldn't load. I got the MS Store window instead. The Microsoft Game Services needed to be updated and that wouldn't update and showed an error each time I tried to do the update. I ended up with both the Carenado and Just Flight Arrow III. I think I like Carenado's a tad bit more. It seems like the consensus prefers the Just Flight version what do you all think?

I just spent another day of my life trying to resolve issues after an update to the sim. I had been holding off buying any scenery for Nice (LFMN) as I had heard it was going to be one of the updated airports in the France update. Update went in ok, but when I went to LFMN I kept getting weird problems. Sometimes a black screen, more often a freeze-out at the "ready to fly" screen - couldn't click to progress, CPU sitting at around 25% (high for my system), had to end task to get control back. Tried lots of other places that were new but all ok - Rotterdam was fine, and that was another of the new airports. Worked ok with a completely vanilla system (absolutely …

I bought the Canary Islands DEM 5 a couple of days ago. I am very pleased about that. The steep mountains of the Canary Islands need really accurate elevation modeling to truly appear in the simulator. DEM 5 is excellent. I would very much like Taburet to publish a commercial DEM 5 for the island of Madeira as well, or for someone to make it a happy DEM 5. Thanks in advance!

Like others recently as noted in another thread my performance has been real sketchy lately compared to pre update, been suffering a lot of CTD and widely fluctuating FPS. So last night I used add on linker and disabled all community addons every single one. I flew from FSDT KORD to KDCA with Washington landmarks from ORBX in the AEROSOFT CRJ. It was the most stutter free and consistent flight I have had for a while. If truth be told had a couple of stutters coming in over Washington but to be expected with the landmarks installed. Hi All - I am now very confused. Today I notice that the A32NX was available as a free download in the Marketplace. I think maybe I live under a rock, but I wasn't aware of this. Anyway, now I have two A320's, both the A320 NEO and the A32NX Leap. Are these the same? Also, I have no display in the cockpit of either aircraft, although they both seem to be running. How do I get the cockpit displays all running? I am obviously missing something here, so any help would be appreciated. Cheers, Pete

I have just tried to use the TCAS on several aircraft, including FBW A320 Neo and the default 747. I can see some aircraft on the VFR map but they never appear on the ND. I remember it used to work, I saw some diamonds on my ND showing AI traffic around me, but today I see nothing. Am I doing something wrong or is it a known bug in the sim? Thanks, Eric

TLDR Engaging the AP causes the plane to drop a wing and nose dive. FULL Ever since I got the game about 3 weeks ago I have had no issues with the autopilot. I am now on version 1.16.2.0 and the experience of flying has been absolutely ruined. This happened in light default GA planes. Mostly the (steam gauge) C172 and the Cub. I plan a flight using the GPS. In the AP I enter ALT=3500, VS=500FPM, make sure the primary souce is GPS. The usual. I am sure i have seen this in another thread but my google fu seems to be weak today. How do I exclude add on planes from showing up as AI. I have more Bleriot's at KMCN than were probably produced in an entire year of their production run. And while Bell 47's were commonplace around Seoul in 1952 I don't think I have ever seen one in Macon, Georgia in the 21st century...thanks in advance for your help.

Why does the right engine on the CRJ go down on landing every time? No failures set. I get low oil then shut down?

I dont use the ingame ATC, but curious as I am, I'm wondering what people who do use it think of it after the SU4 where it supposedly got better/using standard phraseology?

I am experiencing something weird, using stock nav data and WT CJ4. I loaded my LOWI-LOWK flight plan via OBEDI. Selected SID OBEDI3J and the following waypoints were generated: RWY08 SBG4!! RUM D0OEJ SBG7!! RTT OBEDI... Two deviations of 150nm each did not appeal much to me so I entered the whole plan manually but am wondering what could have caused this. Any clue? EDIT: Looked closer and the alt restriction given for SBG7 is consistent with that at D7OEJ (6700) in the chart. Looks like a database corruption.

Things have went from bad to worse for south Atlanta. The Peachtree area has horrible framerates now and the worst is on the runway 13 approach into KFFC.

Good day Two days ago when i started my game fs2020 found an update 275mb This is an hotfix for b787 bouncing problem The download start until 20% and return to 0 and so until i close fs. Someone here can help me about that. Thanks

I'm getting the error message from ms when I start the sim that there is an error logging in (play in offline mode / try again). Ive tried logging out of the ms store and back in, but that didnt help. Anyone else having this issue, or is there something else I can do?

Although I switched the TCAS option to TA or TA/RA I don't receive "blimps" in my ND when traffic is near me at the same or about the same altitude as I am flying on. I am using the latest dev version of FlyByWire's A320Neo plus FSUIPC. (Settings in FSUIPC for TCAS are set correctly). I wonder what I am overlooking to get TCAS working for me. Any ideas? Does anyone have a profile for the CRJ related to views without recreating from scratch. Overhead, FMS, etc?
