Microsoft Flight Simulator (2020/2024)

Hi, I decided to reinstall MSFS once more to get that vanilla smell back. So far so good... But whats wrong with the DL times? The whole thing is about 120GB now, my DL speed shows 20 to 25MB per second. Gues what? My download runs for almost 30 hours now and i am about 75 percent in.....I know its not just the download itself and it is unpacking and installing in between those packages....but seriously? Where is all the time gone? It doesnt need a master in maths... Best regards and so on.

I usually "pause" the sim with the "Esc" key - it's been the least disruptive way to hold my place when I need to leave my computer. Since SU5 I can no longer toggle a pause in this manner. It usually will pause OK but will no longer toggle back. The only way I was able to return to the flight was by clicking the Resume button. On my last flight this really went haywire. First, every time I returned (unpaused) my throttle dropped to idle and I had to quickly jog the throttle control and reset (I may have found what caused this). Yes, we know that controls get locked out while right-click panning in the cockpit. However I noticed something new last night while taxiing in. If you're in the external view (not the drone view though it probably happens there as well) you can pan that view around etc and still steer the aircraft. This makes me think the issue in the cockpit is definitely a bug brought on by something and not intended behavior at all

Good day Question about the C208 Garmin, map orientation on defaults is set to North Up. I am able to change the map orientation in setup to Track Up, the problem I have is that it will not keep that setting. Every time when I start the "sim" I have to re-adjust to Track up. Is any setting that will keep (memorize) the change? Thank you.

Hi everyone, I don't know if you noticed but WT had shipped this as a free additional content within the sim via the Marketplace. Noob question: Is it the same as downloading their WT G1000 separately (I keep them up to date via the MSFS Community Downloader addon), or do we have to disable the WT1000 from the Community folder before getting the WT1000GXi? Hello all! I've been loving the G36 with Rob's mod, however, the ground handling is TERRIBLE. I always have to use full rudder to keep the plane straight when taking off. When I land, it will sometimes veer opff and there is nothing I can do to get the airplane straight unless i hit the brakes and come to a stop. Any idea on how to fix this?

The Steam version of Microsoft Update Simulator now allows you to run another Steam game while FS is busy grabbing the latest set of patches or content changes. So you can go slogging through the mud in Snowrunner or blow a few heads off in Deus Ex, rather than just watching the Gb count. I'll get my pilot's bag...

Hi Guys, These images were taken from SU5. Maybe I misunderstand something about the cloud issues but what is wrong with these images? They seem ok to me and Ultra doesn't look like medium which some people are saying is a visual downgrade in SU5? So, looks good to me but maybe I'm missing something? Edit: Sorry. Hi all, I'm not at my PC today, in order to test this, but hoping someone can help. I have some content in my Community folder, with rather long, useless names. Will changing the name of folders in the Community folder, cause any problems or stop that content from working in the sim? And my second question, I have some products (such as Neil Birch's UK Farm Strips) where they've provided lots (in that case 50) of individual folders for scenery, all of which are clogging up the Community folder...... - If I created a parent folder (eg. "UK Farm Strips") and placed the individual content folders into that, would it prevent the content from working? M…

...who usally whines, but my just over six month new computer that otherwise had handled MFSF perfect with only one CTD under it's belt so far, forced me to do a complete reinstallation (unwillingly of course) of Windows and MFSF and thas beacause of how @rsobos excellent SU5 update stubbornly refused my computer to even start MSFS. So even after endless efforts to repair MSFS, Microsoft Store, the registry etc I'had to give in and reinstall the whole computer.......So finely I'm placed behind my yoke and managed to do a take of and noticed that the abillity to finetone the trim inte the 172 with the Honecomb trimwheel has vanished...and whats up with the colors? Hey everyone, I'm clutching at straws here I know but I was wondering if system restore would take the game back to SU4? I checked my available restore points and there is one for July 25. Has anyone tried this?

I have a pretty good rig. I9700k, 32gig 3600 mem, rtx2070 super, all ssd/nvme drives. Prior to SU5 I was well pleased, running smoothly at 30 FPS locked with almost all settings at “high”. Post SU5 the headroom increase was so much I was able to run flawlessly at 60 FPS, but the graphical changes...meh. So I just went in and set all my settings at “ultra” and locked the FPS back to 30 and guess what...my MSFS ain’t never looked as good. At least to me. Give it a try, you might be surprised. -btacon

So updated to SU5 last week. Everything was working. Then the hotfix comes out. When I launch the sim it says that I need to go to the microsoft store and get the update. However when I go to the store and click get updates it is not showing one available for MSFS. So I can't run the simulator now. any ideas? Forced updates are the worst.

Since last update, now the ia / real traffic planes don't have engaged the nav lights , anyone have noticed that and knows how tio fix it? During night flyings is very unrealistic without nav light in traffic aircrafts thanks

I picked this up when it was 1st released & it has languished at the back of the hangar since then as I flew GA. However, I noticed recently it had had several updates since release so I updated yesterday & flew to the Canary Islands. The AP worked satisfactorily, however on approach into the destination airport, when I pulled the flaps & lined up, the nose pitched up & I could not point it down even using full down elevator. So the landing was a full flap climbing fly by! I had the CofG mid range in Scenario set up. Is this a characteristic of the Bredok3D 737 or is there a setting or fix I can apply?
