Microsoft Flight Simulator (2020/2024)

Hey guys This issue existed pre SU5 and I was kind of hoping it would improve post SU5. The issue being on final approach my PC does sometimes struggle with the frames depending on location and aircraft in use and I find the sound kind of jitters or intermittently cuts out, ever so slightly. It’s kind of annoying and wondered if it’s simply my PC struggling or if this affects others. I have a very modest rig i7 4790k 4.0Ghz, 1070 and 16GB. I run my settings at mainly medium with clouds on high at 1920x1080.

Quick question... I did a reinstall and want to start installing all of my addons that I purchased. If I got something via the Marketplace, how do I reinstall them? When I finished the installation, and went into the Marketplace, all of my orders weren't there anymore and when I searched, it was asking me to pay for the items I already bought. Thanks!

Hello folks i have two questions. Where exactly do you put add ons in MSFS, I have to locations, one location is Steam library/ community. And the other one is user/name/App data/ roaming/MSFS/packages/Community. The reason I ask is that the steam one I added a file called Mod tbm-930 improvement and all i get is a plane with no cockpit. But when I go to the user // community the file is not even there. Are they not the same community folder and if not which one is correct. I have been using the steam library one and all seem to work , now all of a sudden it does not. Is there anyone who can switch aircraft outside view in the hangar and able to look around (as previous) ?

Like many of us, SU5 was at first a frustratingly mixed experience for me at first. Undoubtedly smoother performance in the air (stutters pretty much eliminated, high frame rate with everything pretty much maxed out), but visually things looked worse (blurry / washed out), very high CPU temps (on the verge of throttling with one spike up to 91 degrees), the occasional CTD, and some weird pixelated artefacts when panning / with some night lights. Of course many will still have problems, but my SU5 now looks and runs like a dream, and I'm a big convert to the latest blinding bloom / lighting which is actually very realistic to my eyes. Updated last week, had a few great flights. Started up today and ... Microsoft Store says needs Repair. Click that and the only option is Reinstall. Click that and it seems it doesn't connect to anything but thin air (so nothing happens). Restarted; same. Yes, I do have an active and healthy internet connection. BTW the storage device is available, but it looks like the ENTIRE MSFS folder is ... just ... gone. 🙈🙉🙊 How on earth does this happen? Hi, Anyone having issues with ATC not having sound? All I am getting is text in the ATC window. No ATIS either. All sound sliders are on max by the way.

I wonder is someone could help. When I start the FBW A320 the psi of engine 2 is at 0 while at engine 1 is at 278. N1 is at 19 engine 2 vs 40 at engine 1. Any ideas? Thanks Bernd

With the amount of bugs and visual degradation problems still pending is any of you confident that they may still be delivering further bugfixes or is this idea a little naive?

Does anyone have this same effect after the update plus hotfix, or is it just me: 1. The trim wheel of the Cessna 172 (non Garmin, from the MSFS Deluxe version) can not be trimmed anymore but only jumps beween upper and lower limit. Just the non Garmin version seems affected, the G1000 version and also the Cessna 152 are OK. 2. Also I had my very first CTD after the update ... I never had one before. I have no addons. There's no proof these two issues are because of the update, but it sure is a coincidence.

Ever since FS2020SU5+HF1 was installed, I no longer receive METARs via MCDU/ATSU/AOC/WX Request. Is this due to this SU5 or is it pilot's error? If the latter, what could I possibly have done wrong? (I'm using the FBW A320Neo dev version)

Everybody is complaining about the pop-in issue these days, but the airliners / IFR / ATC situation is dramatic as well. I have just tried a couple of IFR flights from Dubai OMDB to Kuwait OKBK after SU5 with the default A320 (FBW A32NX as you know causes frequent CTD and it's unusable at the moment, FBW even pulled it out of the store). Community folder totally empty and flight plan generated in the World Map. After updating to SU5, the fuel selector on all my GA planes is stuck on the "off" position. So planes are all grounded because they obviously won't start. Anyone else having this problem?

I cant get waypoints for my flight plans, not with the world map or using sim brief. When I click on flt pln on the mcdu it says not in database. I dont know what it means. It was working fine before SU5

Post su5 release I have come across problems with the WTG3000 (loaded in an unmodified TBM). Instance: NZWN now has a restricted range of approaches listed c.f. those in Navigraph. Flying a RW34 approach (no RNAV option available; it used to be) I found that the RNAV 'glide slope' worked, but the lateral approach line was set off from the runway by about 10 - 20 degrees. The approach path used to directly in line with the runway. NZNS has a similar set of problems. Only two airports tried so far. In the community folder I have installed: AIRAC Cycle 2106 rev.1 Navigraph Charts In-Game Panel v0.4 and Working Title G3000 of course.

If I go to LLMZ which is about 1243 ft below sea level, the altimeter reading in all the planes I have tried ( C172, KA350i, CJ4, DA62, Baron G58, Grumman G-44A) is off by approximately a 1000ft. So it seems that something in the sim is broken, perhaps the barometric pressure for below sea level situations. It worked correctly before SU5. I felt a bit of positivity around the Xbox release is needed, especially after all the "sky is falling" posts from those that think it's going to ruin the sim. The massive uptake in players has been absolutely phenomenal as anyone who plays with multiplayer on will attest to. Every place i visited yesterday (LA, Sydney, San Diego, Vancouver among others was absolutely stuffed to the gills with players. Especially on the US servers in their peak time. Now... as was easily predictable it's utter chaos at times. I must admit to finding it pretty amusing. I'd just park up my Bell47 on top of a nearby skyscraper and watch the airport activity. Hi, In any version of MSFS i havent being able to nail down the VC movement to the left and back . I have all 4 direction mapped to the hatswitch and strangely enough only right and forward works . I can use the arrows on the keyboard offcause but find in strange . There isnt any other mapping to this Michael Moe
