Whenever I try to disable this option, and hit apply and save, it CTD. Anyone else?

After my plans to avoid this update fell through I had no choice. Anyway I guess I've jumped on the "What the heck" bus. Anyone else see the map totally bleached and whitewashed out with the sun glare making it unreadable? All mods disabled (Community renamed), base sim only.

Lots of pack behavior here….I wonder whether Asobe-MS read all the individual entries, or rather at the global satisfaction levels about this upgrade, which I am pretty sure will be quite high, since most of us have low to medium end systems and would appreciate any FPS boost we can get. I for one have an 11 year old PC with i7 2600k 3,4 Ghz processor with a GTX960 and can now fly smoothly over central New York at global high settings. It truly is the impossible coming true and it is looking great as well. I do not even care about the pop-ins as they are hardly noticeable (for me). For those having overheating issues particularly with GPU you may want a try limiting fps, this will give your GPU some breathing room. Leaving fps to max-out will only cause most average GPU's to run at 100%. I have a nvidia 1070, leaving v-sync off cause it to run at 100% all the time. 1 For 60Hz monitors enable v-sync within sim and lock frame rate to 60 or 30, pick the one setting that ensures consistent fps, whichever your hardware allows. 2 For 120Hz monitors enable v-sync within sim and lock frame rate 20 (this will v-sync sim to 40fps) I have an old pc and with SU5 my hardware is able to maintain consistent 40fsp for a very smooth ride. 3 For 144hz…

Since SU5 I have been experiencing long screen freezes of a minute or more. Sometimes on the main screen and sometimes in flight. Looked on flightsim.com and found this thread. https://forums.flightsimulator.com/t/long-freezes-after-su5/428242 When I first experienced this, I thought the sim had crashed but usually after a while it unfreezes and continues. Very irritating.

I would like to see how simmers are mapping the unusual H pattern movement of the TBM 930 throttle lever to the Saitek Throttle Quadrant levers. I like to run my controllers through FSUIPC when possible, but haven't figured out yet how to best do this with the TBM 930 throttle. Thanks for any ideas. Al

Hello everyone. I have MSFS2020 installed on a 500 Gb SSD (drive D:). I use this drive exclusively for MSFS2020. I noticed the available space decreasing over time and today Windows is reporting only 14,5 Gb free. Since the "Community" folder is located in drive "C:" why is the install size so massive? Is this normal? Should I consider buying a bigger drive and move the install before I run out of space? Is anyone else noticing the same?

OMG... I just listened to the ATIS at KLIT and it advertised "Sky Clear" instead of the usual bogus three layers. Unfortunately the dewpoint was still stuck at 10 and ATC is still assigning downwind runways; but looks like progress is slowly being made.

Maybe it's just me, but I feel like MSFS2020 + Update 5 need a fair review. All we see here is so much negative. This is a lot like wanting to purchase something on Amazon and after reading all of the negative reviews about that product you want to change your mind. Not here to complain. Really just trying to confirm if something is a known issue or not following the "XBox" release this week. I need to update my hardware profile, but FYI I have an 11,500 processor and a 3070 RTX. 32Gig Ram. Since the release, I seem to take off fine but within minutes I get some choppiness and then a few more minutes of taking off, I literally get down to under 5-10 frames a second. After nearly a 30 hour download finished last night i keep having crashes every time i load the game or in the cockpit flying.It has happened twice in a row.Is anyone having similar trouble.

I installed the latest update. As a result, Helsinki really lacks a lot of buildings in the center, even though the trees are visible. I had emptied the community before updating. I cleared the temporary memory but it doesn't help. Elsewhere outside Helsinki in Finland, buildings are modeled correctly. Throttle does not work in Cessna, meaning the plane cannot be flown after the upgrade. Does not work with keyboard, mouse or throttle grip as was the case before the upgrade. On the positive side, there has been a fair improvement in performance. What do I need to do to get the building to Helsinki and Cessna to work?

I've forgotten how to slide the over to the right side of the plane (copilot), so I can capture and save it using Ctrl-Alt-#. Also is is possible to disable the blue controls highlighter? As usual for me, all seems quite good post update as far as performance goes and visually I'm pretty happy it looks very decent. Did a complete reinstall. Haven't landed yet at a busy airport so have yet to see how it copes with that. I am seeing two different scenarios as far as color saturation and washed out textures. My cockpit lighting and color are what I would call acceptable, but when I switch to exterior camera, there comes the too bright and washed out colors. It is as if the cockpit glass was tinted, but when on the exterior view I am at the mercy of the sun and reflections. Any body have any remedies or what might be the cause, all brought on by the #5 update. The hot fix did not address this problem. I've searched to no avail. Fresh reinstall, and when I take off all seems well then all of a sudden I'm hitting the ground in spots despite climbing, and ATC will tell me to climb to 14000 feet, used B key to set baro, then ATC is telling me I'm 800' above altitude and to increase my decent to 14000 feet when I'm at 14000 feet! Any ideas?

Basically everything on my system is fine after HotFix and U5. But after this AM's fix my VFR map is only controllable when not popped out. Anyone else seeing this? I will make a bug report if others see this as well.

Just installed the hotfix and when starting MSFS I got the notification that there were updates available on content manager. Checked and found this Anyone know what is this about? Moreover on the marketplace, there's no update available to download for any of the World Updates ...

Hi , i am back to my original 25hz/Vsync On as prior to SU5 mainly because i havent got the boost as expected. Vsync off and Nvidia FPS control is also a stutter mess. The speed of panning drop FPS making it a stutter fest most of the times. Have others found a solution or workaround to this? Not panning is smooth as butter. Thanks Michael Moe

Help what has happened, The cockpit controls are highlighted blue when I hover my mouse over them and and I am unable to control the instruments as I used to. How can I get back to how it was before. I have searched all options but am unable to get the FS to revert to its original. What is happening ?

Like a lot of folk, I had a terrible download for this update - started about 17.30 and still only at 30% at 02.00 when i gave up and left it. Main part done at 09.00 and the remaining 24Gb went quickly. First couple of nervous flights got the CTD thing going on. Turned off AI traffic and haven't had one since. Had a couple of occasions where the flight I'd set up refused to load, in that I had to forcibly close the sim via task manager after waiting maybe 20 minutes for the flight to load, but that turned out to be a specific addon (part of Bijan's seasons, the UK Gorse file, but I'm not entirely sure it should have been in use anyway). My server has a new install and my Left view client one from April 2021. Both Premium de Luxe. Both the same Scenery settings. As I use WidevieW to sync the views this morning I was trying to “connect” the views a little more precise. At EHAM (Amsterdam).
