Something seem a bit strange about SU5. Even though there is a certain drama queen mentality here, I am pretty sure that many do have real degradation since SU5. For me it looks just as good as before and it would be interesting to see screens from you that have problems? And on what hardware? It would be interesting to see if there is some common denominator.

I am curious if the release of MSFS2020 with detailed scenery with some accuracy to the real world has affected sales of the Orbx products. Orbx's business model seemed to operate on the replacement of FSX and P3D default scenery, which are poor, with Orbx Global and Regional products. It seems that MSFS2020 comes "out of the box" with scenery of more detail and accuracy than the Orbx products. Prior to MSFS2020 I had been a P3D user since its launch, and I had nearly all of the Orbx Global and Regions along with several of their airports installed. I think the only Orbx product I have now on MSFS2020 is London.

Lots of things were shown/promised in the official pre-launch development and feature videos. Which features shown in these original videos are still incomplete or missing? 3rd party fixes/solutions/addons do not count toward resolving incomplete/missing features. Just got this program. I fly ifr a320 flights mimicking commercial flights in real life to the t. What’s a good setting for Rex? It defaults to 10 mins and 1 ms transition rate. Is that a good setting for my style of flights? I don’t understand the settings really I’d appreciate anyone sharing their settings that work for my style of flight. Thank you so much!

Is it just me or? I turned Icing off in the menus. (there is a option OFF now!) And after a restart it is everywhere 19 degrees celcius at every altitude Gr. Robert

When I first installed MSFS I had loads of room on a dedicated 1tb ssd, which is fast increasing. As I had loads of room I set the rolling cache to 100gb. I recently read a suggestion to set it at 2gb so tried to reduce from 100 to 2gb but a pop up came up telling me I can increase but not reduce it. Any bright ideas?

The MFS roadmap forecasts a SU6 mid-september ! Could somebody with a little influence inject some common sense there and ask them to delay it until the end of the year, fix first the SU5 flaws and take their time not to pull off another SU5 after Labor day ? By the way, I hope that all those in favor of passing rapidly to DX 12 understand now better the reluctance of some of us. Do you imagine the gigantic mess that it is going to be ?

I have i9 10900 Nvidia 1080 running on an SSD. I cannot tell how you how pleased I am with the sim. Ultra vsync 30fps and getting 40+ in the FBW A320 on Steam. I cannot believe it. I noticed a could of times the fps dropped into the middle 20 on landing but went right back up about 4 seconds later. It looks fantastic. I did forget to empty my community folder and delete cashe. I am not going to touch anything at this point. I hate to hear people having major issues.

I have not performed the last big update or the Hotfix so I thought it would be interesting to see how MSFS looks without being online. I just discovered you can't. When starting MSFS gave me the option to insert the MSFS disk or Quit. I was under the impression you could run MSFS without the internet?

Hi friends, Looking for some advice... I do a lot of droning around in the XCub. But the GPS readouts are strange. I'll use an example. Yesterday I was flying in AZ from A20 to KSEZ (Sun Valley Airport to Sedona Airport). This is a shot from LittleNavMap (LNM) You can see the total distance is 137nm Now here is the display in the airplane. In the flight plan set up section it shows the correct distance but in the nav readouts on top of the PFD it shows 6,547nm Also while using the Direct function I saw two Sedonas and a duplicate warning. So I guess some people are unhappy with the LOD pop-ins when they change the view. Some Track IR and VR users have complained about this new feature that Asobo implemented. For me, my computer is not that strong so I really like how Asobo culled the view, to reduce RAM and CPU usage to boost FPS, but resulted in pop-ins if I change the view drastically. The pop-ins don't bother me much and is a good sacrifice for the additional FPS and smoothness in the sim. But I understand that people with very good computers, with a high amount of RAM and a strong CPU, dislike the new culling of the view by Asobo. Hello!, I am unable to the interior of the eye camp hospital aircraft since I could not park it on runway,gate to access it's interior with the drone camera. Is there anybody managed to view it some how then please give some instruction about parking the aircraft and viewing the interior. Thanks

A couple of updates ago, the updater broke my install and I had to wipe everything and start over. I waited until this latest update to do that. Now I'm trying to download 120 GB of data, and it is literally going to take me WEEKS at this rate. I have two specific problems: The download speeds are incredibly slow. I'm getting around 3 Mbits/s - THREE. This is a fraction of my internet bandwidth, but that's the speed the updater is running at. Is there a setting to change this, or is this a limitation of the servers? The updater constantly hangs / crashes. I try to run the updater overnight, only to wake up and find that the updater has frozen early on. Killing…

After SU5 i noticed i was seeing 300-600 fps in the menus or during loading. That ramped up the temps on my 3080 really fast, and it was causing CTDs everywhere, even outside of loading flights. An easy fix to this is to use a frame limiter (but not in MSFS) to cap your frames at something more realistic, like 30 or even 60. Letting your FPS spike to hundreds of frames per second is going to max your GPU out (and cook it) just sitting at the main menu. I use nvidia profiler to cap fps but i believe the nvidia control panel would work as well. Worth a shot.

Hi there, I´m not sure if this was the case before SimUpdate5, but I think it was: When flying over Paris, most of the city looks great. But a part of it looks like there was a war. Or if the city consisted of big rocks. I attached a picture. It gets a bit better when I fly closer, but far from good. I also tried to set Graphik settiings to low (I am flying with most paramaeters set to Ultra) and also tried to delete the rolling cache. But nothing helped. Any ideas? Bes regards!

With one difference......we had more LOD in FSX 😉 Now I will wait till SU6 is out.....than my VRAM will be back at 16GB to utilize my 3090 GPU and when they stop streaming in about 8 years....terrain....I will have less blurry and popping autogen.... This is what I see: I have tried the troubleshooting topic and I am logged on to both the Microsoft Store and the X box app using the same username/gamertag and e mail address. The simulator appears to be working as it should, both live weather and Bing imagery are switched on and are working as expected. I would appreciate a fix for this, if indeed it is a problem at all, if anyone has experienced the same and successfully fixed it. Many thanks.
