I am aware about how to set a flight plan from the MSFS World Map, complete with fixes, Sids, Stars, etc.- But I noticed that that active plan aims only to have ATC support, it doesnt show at the MFD Map/Plan instrument screen, and doesnt replicate at the FMS.- At least that is my experience with Boeing 747 and 777.- Is there a way to export it to the aircraft FMS ? Thanks

AUGUST 19TH, 2021 DEVELOPMENT UPDATE Posted by: Microsoft Flight Simulator Team Screenshot by MrGoose5897 In order to ensure that World Update 6 reaches a very high level of quality, we have decided to move back the release date to September 7th. We are very excited about this update as it features many enhancements to the region, including new aerials and elevation maps, new photogrammetry cities, 4 hand-crafted airports , nearly 100 POIs and new discovery flights, landing challenges, and bush trips. It’s a ton of content and we want to make sure that it will be great. In the meantime, here are some highlights from the World Updat…

Here is Mende airport created by Claude Roure. Mende-Brenoux aerodrome is placed on the edge of a plateau at 3362 ft. west of Mont Lozère. The scene from the movie "La Grande Vadrouille" was filmed there, where we see the glider taking off from a grass runway, today paved over 1300 m in length with PAPI. https://www.simvol.org/en/downloads/airports/mende

I picked up a Stream Deck XL with the primary intent to augment my DCS pit with UFC's for various aircraft. However, seems it would be foolish to not use it with MSFS as well. I see both spad.Next and Lorby AAO's will bridge between MSFS and Stream Deck. Any commentary for advantages and disadvantages to either? I have Lorby AAO, but never got very in to it, mostly not finding it completely intuitive. I got it to interface the Honeycomb yoke and throttle with the Aerosoft CRJ, which has sat in the hangar (rave early reviews caught me, didn't really live up to expectations compared to FBW and WT). Spad.Next seems even less intuitive, but I've seen it works …

Well after 15 years with my current hardware I though it was time to update my sim peripherals, I was using the ch yoke and saitek throttles but they have seen better days (half the buttons don’t works anymore etc), so I’m diving in And updating. Ive got myself an alpha and bravo last week, and think lll finish it off with a radio panel and a track ir unit. Question being, before spending 200$ on the Logitech (saitek) radio panel, does it work pretty flawlessly with msfs or is there a lot of tweaking that needs to happen in order for the panel to communicate with msfs? Thanks

Hi there. Is there a way that users who love variety and realism can get back to air traffic models, again compatible with MSFS? Before the last update, although with small errors, we could enjoy a wide variety, because we had converted those fsx models (only for own use) to work in MSFS. That is: Airbus, (300,310,319,320,321,330,340,350,380), boeing (732,733,734,735,736,737,738,739,744,748,742,743,752,753,762,763,764,772,773,788,789, CRJ7, CRJ9, CRJX, Embraers, MD11, MD82, atrs ...) After the last update, the airports are full of detail, and empty of variety of traffic. It is true that we can use generic air traffic that MSFS brings, but it is also true that we can use…

In case you missed it: Make sure to watch todays Twitch livestream. Jörg had some great info about coming updates and general goals about future world updates. https://www.twitch.tv/videos/1059056931 Most important points: Next world update VI will be Germany, Austria, Switzerland. Several new photogrammetry cities (including Vienna), and handcrafted airports, good quality and availability of aerial imagery makes them especially optimistic about that update and its content. That update will include a Ju52 (using support from the actual Junkers company) They are working on the long list of missing airports. They are looking at additional W…

After SU5, flying the FBW A320, I get moments when my frames drop from 40+ down to 1 or 2 for 5 to 20 seconds, then it goes back to normal and may stay like this for a long time before it happens again. I have not seen this happen with MSFS at all before regardless of overall framerate. Anyone else experience this or know of it being reported? Any ideas of the cause?

We seem to have gone from one extreme to the other. From loads of icing to nothing. Or could it be down to me flying the freeware A330? Are you guys getting any icing at all?

This video about World Update 6 references some MFSS fixes, including "graphics fixes", and goes on to discuss the changes creating potential issues of frame rates vs quality. This begs a question I have had for some time but have not so far seen played out, so to speak. Simulator Updates (SU#'s) have not to this date been optional. Start the sim and if updates are out they are automatic. Not so with World Updates. World Updates are optional. Due to where I have flown MSFS to-date, the only World Update I have installed is the World Update for North America (is that WU2?). So are there improvements to the simulator itself, so to speak, embedded in World Updates? Or…

I just noticed something and wondering if it's only on my end. I switched to an external drone view, and tried to change the speed, but everything moves the same. Anyone else? Is this another SU5 thing?

I started using Flightplan go gps for flight tracking, and really am liking it. The only problem I have is when I switch to another app on my phone, (with flightplan go still running in the background), or my phone screen times out, I loose GPS connection from the sim and have to go back into the phone menu and re-establish simulator GPS connection. Anyone find a way to keep from losing gps connection on the phone app when switching apps, or timing out? If it makes any difference, I am using the program "fightplan go GPS" on my PC to bridge the sim with the phone app. There was another similar program I tried as well, but it did the same thing.

Hi All, So today my avionics have just suddenly started to switch themselves off mid flight! I can't turn them back on. I know this was an issue some time ago but had anyone experienced this recently or have an ideas on a fix? Thanks very much in advance. Dan

Iris have released the Grob 115E military basic trainer: https://store.irissimulations.com.au/product/iris-airforce-series-tutor-t-1-msfs/ I believe the target market for this is young simmers and air cadets hoping to eventually join the RAF/RAAF. However the price seems very reasonable ($US20), may be worth picking up. From the RAF website: Powerplant: one 180hp Textron Lycoming AE-360-B piston engine Length: 24ft 9in (7.54m) Height overall: 9ft 3in (2.82m) Wingspan: 32ft 9¾in (10m) Wing area: 131.40sqft (12.21m2) Maximum take-off weight: 2,182lb (990kg) Never exceed speed: 185kt (343km/h) Maximum rate of c…

By the same team that made the F-35 for P3D (both the payware and the one that comes with the sim), and the MB-339 for MSFS, among other things.

I should know better but Coming from p3d onto msfs I have a bit of an issue that I cannot remember for the life of me is correct I do not have rudder pedals so in p3d it was easy to link it to aileron input but in msfs I cannot do that . I'm using the honeycomb alpha controls so when i start a turn in flight does'nt matter if its left or right, I set my turn then i can return my yoke to the centre position to straighten out i have the got to turn the yoke in the oposite direction. Is this normal or is it because I do not have rudder pedals? I should add I'm using the fbw a320 mostly. I know a single engine prop has a tendancy to turn left anyway …

Hi I have 2 products bought through the Marketplace that will not work with the sim (Orbx London and Okavango Delta. I bought London a long time ago and it was fine until the last update. Orbx report they have sent a fix to Microsoft but I see no update available. Okavango I bought last night beveling it would work My logic was It is in the current marketplace for this sim Why would a vendor sell me a product for their sim that will not work with there sim? I have since found out there may be a issue with Okavango Delta, so I have requested a refund (however I don't know if Microsoft will give a refund) As a pensioner on a fixed income I fi…
