A few questions.
Hi Thanks for the reply and help so far. So: 1/ I already have msfs 2024 and the freeware version of FSUIPC running on the msfs2024 machine. (I use FSUIPC for a pilots live V2) 2/ my understanding was I now need only to install Pilot2ATC and WideFS (Pay-were) on the second PC? 3/ What is WideClient? 4/ I am a little confused when you say " P2ATC on a laptop with WideClient linked to MSFS 20/24 running FSUIPC7+WideFS (payware versions) on the sim machine." From your description looks as though I need to install WideFS onto the MSFS2024 PC? Then Pilot2ATC and WideClient on the second PC?. I did guess I may need to have a microphone on the second PC (even though I don’t at the moment intend to use the microphone. I think I would rather interact with Pilot2atc via the mouse and keyboard on the second PC) The second PC is a old but fairly powerful intel I7 with a Nvidia1080 32 gig ram and a solid speakers, so I am confident this will run pilot2atc OK, its just where I need to install WideFS etc. Can you confirm where I need to install WideFS (I thought it needed to be installed on the second PC) and what is the WideClient? Thanks in advance if you can help. Best wishes. Bob

A few questions.
Hi Thanks for the reply. Currently I don’t have the space for another monitor so that suggestion will not work. I have read the mentioned thread which is where I got me idea from. The second PC is already set up with its own keyboard mouse speakers etc all in easy reach of the main flight sim PC so in my mind there is no reason for these to be shared with the main flight sim PC I guess I just need some sort of reassurance that what I think will work is likely to work before I make the purchase of Widefs7. I do appreciate the generous 2 week trial period that Pilot2atc offers but a a pensioner on a fixed income I am a little reluctant to spend the money on Widefs7 and find it will not work. Thanks again if you can help. Best wishes. Bob

A few questions.
Hi all I have MSFS2024 and would like to have a ATC programme that works over a network. 1/ My understanding is I can install Pilot2atc on a separate computer connected to the same network. I will need to have FSCUIP 7 (free version) on the flight sim computer and widefs7 ( pay-were version? I think its called that) on the network PC. Basically, nothing new to install on the msfs2024 pc but Widefs7 and Pilot2atc on the network pc. 2/ The reason I want to install pilot2atc over the network is so that my flight sim screen is not cluttered. 3/ I don’t feel I want to use the microphone and voice recognition at present. I feel I would like to use the mouse and or keyboard on the second PC to work Pilot2atc. Is this feasible? 4/ I use Air manager on the second PC so I guess my network is working fine. 5/ Is there any thing else I need to be aware of? Thanks in advance if you can help. Best wishes. Bob

Connection to Internet lost, but I still have Internet
Hi. I know it probably will not help, but I have also had both msfs2020 and msfs2024 connection issues the last few days. As with you it has been very temporary, (ending the session then trying again the connection was back and both would run fine). So at the moment I am guessing it may be a small issue with the msfs servers? Best wishes. Bob

MSFS 2020 Update
Hi, Thanks for the heads up Although I am using MSFS2024 more often these days, I still do like some things with MSFS2020. Therefore as as Kiwi I did mise having the POI in 2020 (which if disabled avoided the CTD) Its good to note this has now been fixed. Best wishes. Bob

Pilot avatar not showing in external view - is this a thing?
Hi Are you using ChasePlane? If so there is no pilot in external views if you fly with MSFS2024 native aircraft. (MSFS2020 ported aircraft still have the pilot in external views). This is a listed limitation noted on the Parallel 42 web site along with a few other known limitations. To the best of my knowledge this is due to a known MSFS issue so it may be down to Microsoft to fix. If you need further information have a look on the parallel 42 site for Chaseplane under known limitations and it has a link to the issue. I hope this helps. Best wishes Bob

Chaseplane for MSFS2024 - It is any good?
Hi Yes there is no pilot in external views if you fly with MSFS2024 native aircraft. PS At first I thought this would be a show stopper for me but one I started using ChacePlane I liked it so much i decided to live with the no pilot in external view. Hopefully a fix will come at some time. I hope this helps. Best wishes Bob

Advice with the Just Friends A-32Vixxen?
Hi all. I am hoping some one who has the Just Friends A-32 Vixxen can give me a little advice. Last week I hired the A-32 Vixen from the marketplace. I did like the aircraft but sadly I dont like the exaggerated windshield terrain reflection effect that some MSFS2024 aircraft have. (The Vixxen had this effect). Does anyone know if Sim Update 4 has changed this? Or if there is a workaround? I would like to get the vixxen but I will not use it with the windshield effect. Thanks in advance if you can help. Best wishes. Bob

MSFS 2020 Sim update 16 and NZ POI?
Hi. Have you tried uninstalling the NZ POI?. If I have the NZ POI installed I get CTD at many places in the NZ south island. If I uninstall them NZ South Island is fine. Pleas note Microsoft are aware of the issue. Also NZA a 3rd party developer who make lots of excellent NZ scenery add-ons have reached out to Jorg, (the head of MSFS) push for this issue to be resolved. Jorg replied to NZA indicating the issue will be looked into, however we have no news as to when it will be fixes. I hope this helps. Best wishes. Bob

MSFS 2020 Sim update 16 and NZ POI?
Hi Sadly not for me 1/ I reinstalled the NZ POI 2/ Tried to load the sim from NZNS 3/ got a CTD shortly after entering the aircraft. 4/ Tried again with the same result. 5/ Uninstalled the NZ POI and loaded into NZNS with no issues. Thanks for the heads up and hopefully Microsoft will evidentially fix the issue. Best wishes. Bob
