All, Has anyone had success adding additional voices to Pilot2AC within the Windows 11 operating system? I have seen how some have accomplished this in Windows 10, but does not appear the same in Windows 11. Thanks

We've had many reports of the voices in Pilot2ATC not working. Apparently, either the latest Windows Update (as of August 18, 2025) or a Microsoft Store server update, caused the Microsoft Online Voices to not be available. Hopefully Microsoft will get this fixed soon. In the meantime, here are some mitigating options. 1. Regardless of what else you do, you'll need to either Delete or Uninstall the Microsoft Online voices. Deleting them is done on the Voice tab of P2A Settings, one at a time. Or, you can delete all of them by Launching the "Natural Voices Installer", be sure the Online Voices option is checked and the Natural Voices is unchecked and then do …

Hi I use P3d on my main machine with pilot2atc on my network machine. Using the PTT button on your yoke connected to the main machine is possible. After hunting over the net I found this solution that works beautifully with pilot2ATC. I have to thank VPilot for the information here as it is wrttien for their software but it also works for our situation here. If you use the pdf file on the link below you will be able to use your PTT button as you hope to using Peter Dowson's registered versions of FSCUIP and FSCUIP Wide. …

Many of you have been asking where you can get good ATC Chatter Files. I am pleased to announce that Stick And Rudder Studios has just released a new product named X-ATC-Chatter. From the makers of the popular X-Camera, this new offering provides a very nice selection of coordinated short ATC clips to be used with Pilot2ATC's ATC Chatter using the Controllers option. This offering is unique in that it provides collections of clips from around the globe. While not all regions are filled out yet, there is an excellent collection for the US and a growing set for several other regions. Here's a link to their site with a description and a very nice tutorial video…

Does anyone know why Microsoft's UK voices won't show up in P2A? Only the 3 US voices show. Being a Brit and my home airport is EGKK Gatwick, I would prefer to have George (UK) as my First Officer. Oddly, I have the French voice (Hortense) working, but I cannot get Frank (Nederlands) to show. If one French voice will work, then surely at least one of the UK voices should.

I enjoy flying in XP11 in Samsung Oddssy VR with Cirrus SF50 or the Zibo 737, and I like it as real as it gets with talking to ATC in heavy traffic. I do sometime fly online on the IVAO network, but I prefer offline mostly. For offline realism I use the combination of: - P2ATC (ATC) - World Traffic 3 (Traffic) - ATC chatter (background ATC chatter) - MCE (as FO when flying Zibo 737) - IVONA sounds for ATC and FO Everything is working fine except for two things: - I can see the WT3 traffic but not shown in my TCAS radar - P2ATC can's see the WT3 traffic also Finding a solution for the first one, he…

Hi, Download the 10 day trial to see how Pilot2ATC would work on my Win 11 computer and I am having problems with SQL Server error messages and flashing black screens. I have tried to uninstall and reinstall both pilot2atc and SQL Server 2014 and tried stopping and starting SQL Server using the command prompt but to no avail. I should be grateful for any advice as to whether this is a comptability problem with Win 11. For the record, I bought a Win 11 computer, I didn't upgrade from Win10. Thanks Renzo

Pete Dowson has released a beta of MakeRunways for MSFS2020. MakeRunways Beta version 5.00 for MSFS This will allow you to create the files needed to import Taxiways and Gates from MSFS. Pete could benefit from feedback from DVD install users, and those with lots of Addon airports or anyone experiencing issues. THANKS Pete!!

Not matter what flight planning software you use, if it can export a flight plan in the FSX format(.pln), then P2A can import that flight plan. Also P2A can import flight plans from RealWorld Flightplan Database and Flightaware You can also create a flight plan WayPoint by WayPoint in P2A using Uppper and lower airways, VOR, NDB and intersections. Also you can create IFR flight plans VOR >VOR >NDB etc etc. So getting a flightplan into P2A is very simple. P2A does not need anything like an OFP from PFPX, it just needs the route(export your route in PFPX as a .pln)...simple If you are not sure how to export a flight-plan in different formats…

To use P2A with MSFS 2020, you must install the latest FSUIPC7 beta. The process to do that has been simplified, so here are the steps that worked for me: Setting Up FSUIPC for MSFS 2020 Download FSUIPC v7 beta. This link has details and a link to the software: Pete & John Dowson's Software (fsuipc.com) Unzip the FSUIPC7 file to a folder of your choice. It does not need to go into a subfolder of MSFS. If you are a current user of FSUIPC and have customized files from release version of FSUIPC, you can copy the files like (FSUIPC.ini, .lua,.dll etc files to the new folder) You have now installed FSUIPC7 and should not have to do th…

Hi all, I'm new to Pilot2ATC but I could see an instant need to be able to send joystick commands from my Sim machine to my Laptop where P2A reside. I'm an X-Plane user. I wasn't really up for paying for anymore software so I've written a couple of programs that basically run on each computer and then allow the transmission of a PTT and SayIt button over to the client machine running P2A. You can download a copy here. It's very basic, not very pretty, but it's only a quick fix to solve a personal problem, but judging by the size of the pinned P2A networking thread, I'm not the only one so I thought I'd share!! 🙂 All instructions are contained within th…

Hi, I first tried the solution found here, but was not happy with it for several reasons: The solution does not work all the time you start it. It looks like there is like a stochastic behavior (and I don't like that ) The CPU load on my system reach 6%, and more strange the CPU load stays @ 6% aven after the end of TTS sentences from P2A. I was unable to tune my radio sound as I wanted to with Voxal Voice Changer So I spend some time over Internet to find an alternative solution, and discovered the world of VST Audio plugins. Many freeware VST plugins can be found over Internet, but you first need a VST host. I've chosen Minihost Modular because it's powerf…

These are a set of scripts that I have written down to help me with VFR communications when using P2A. I though I'd share them here so others can use them if they want as there is not much focusing solely on VFR flight. This is a work in progress as I try document the different phases of flight. I would appreciate any suggestions/corrections that anyone finds. I will post updates when I make them. Pilot2Atc VFR Scripts UPDATES: 2018-09-12 - Added Bravo Transition and Arrival script 2017-10-22 - Added Pattern work script

Quite a few folks have had difficulty getting the US English language pack and speech engine installed. Part of the problem is that after you install the language pack, you have to do an additional step to install the Speech engine. Here's a link to a site that does a pretty good job of explaining the process. http://www.laptopmag.com/articles/change-cortanas-voice-windows-10 Step 11 is the one where you install the Speech Recognition Engine. BE SURE TO DO THIS STEP. Steps after 11 set the new language as your default and are not necessary in order to use Pilot2ATC. Hope this helps some of you. Dave

Why is the APPR button to the left of the map grayed out? Even if a flight plan with an approach is available, I can't use the APPR button. Only the Activate Approach button above the flight plan works. P2A v.3.0.0.0_RC2 and previous versions. Thanks Jens

I try to keep updated with Pilot2ATC, but I don't see a version file in the directory where pilot2atc is in nor do I see a date of the current update posted on the Pilot2ATC update page. Have I missed something? I want to test today's XP12 update but I'm not sure if I have the latest or not. I know I could just install the update but then I need to re-update the nav database. Thanks, Jeff

Hello, I'm currently using X-Plane version 12.4.1, and the XUIPC plugin isn't working correctly with this version (X-Plane crashes). I'm considering purchasing Pilot2ATC version 3. Could you please tell me if XUIPC is necessary, or how to install version 3? Thank you. Sincerely.

I had an odd experience trying to set up ILS approaches over the weekend and I wanted to get some insight, I'm likely doing something wrong. IFR flight plan, set up the departure and destination, from the destination airport in the fight planner, I click in, select Approaches, and choose ILS X in this case, and Load it up, I can see the waypoints and the fix I'm supposed to fly towards to start the approach. Cool. Validate, File, ready to go. In the sim, MSFS2020, I'm using the 208 with the Garmin to set up the flight plan; I do that as normal. Select Approach, I choose the same ILS X, I choose Vectors, and hit Load. It all seems to be fine. Radio for clearance,…

Hi all I have MSFS2024 and would like to have a ATC programme that works over a network. 1/ My understanding is I can install Pilot2atc on a separate computer connected to the same network. I will need to have FSCUIP 7 (free version) on the flight sim computer and widefs7 ( pay-were version? I think its called that) on the network PC. Basically, nothing new to install on the msfs2024 pc but Widefs7 and Pilot2atc on the network pc. 2/ The reason I want to install pilot2atc over the network is so that my flight sim screen is not cluttered. 3/ I don’t feel I want to use the microphone and voice recognition at present. I feel I would like to use t…
