As a lot of people seem to be having some problems with P2ATC to understand your voice commands, I am one of them also!!! If you go to the grammar screen and use the practice button, select a controller, I selected Unicom and the phrase I selected was 'OpenFlightPlanRequest' On the left side you will see the required commands (green) and the options (Orange). One of the things I was doing was just selecting one of the required commands and saying that Example: I said 'open flight plan for'............nothing appeared in the 'practice Speech box' I then tried 'Open my Flighplan.......still nothing. I wasn''t until I put the whole command together tha…

  2. Hello, Newbie question please: I have gone back to FS9 to get a lot of FPS when I use my new PILOT2ATC ( I have XP10 and FSX also). I noticed that when I switch to the P2ATC window to say tune the tower for takeoff, I loose my cockpit sounds. (engine, etc) When I switch the window back to the sim, the sound returns. Am I doing something wrong here? Thanks in advance, Ron Sagel NEAR KCHS

I have not tried P2ATC yet but have a question re voice control. Does it require exact phrases to be used by the pilot or does it accept the pilot hitting key words within requests and read-backs? in the way that MCE does? Thanks Tim

trial, update to 1.3.0.1 No matter what I do according to the manual I cannot get a response from delivery. Mic works well with Windows voice recognition I get a response from Ground, they tell me to go the clearance with all the nice printou of exactly what I said in the box, but with the same wordings elicits no response ever from clearance All freqs are visible in the ATC window and set right. Nothing for altimeter request as well CYHZ 123.95 Would love to use this program if it works.... re-installed as 1.3.0 same problem, recognised by ground ignored by clearance.

Pilot2ATC version 1.3.0.1 Under Configuration/Controller voices. 1. Should all voices work when "T" is selected? I can get 4 of the 11 to work. 2. Should speed of voices (Anna) be adjustable and results be indicated by the "T"? Voices that I can test (item 1) are extremely fast and no amount of adjustment will change them. Voice speed within the main window is fine. I am fairly sure my version 1.3 was ok as far as speed goes.

  7. Hi Everyone. I just uploaded the first installment on what I plan to be a series of tutorials that should provide a quick and easy way to get up to speed with Pilot2ATC. We'll be adding to these over time, with lots of screenshots and some tips and tricks of P2A along the way! Many of you have struggled with getting in the air the first time, so this first installment will get you from Clearance Delivery through first contact with Oakland Center in a short IFR flight from San Jose, California to Oakland, California. Probably not a good one for airliners, but grab a good GA plane and take the plunge! You can find it on the Downloads page www.pilot2atc.com/downl…

Hi Everyone. Just uploaded the first update to version 1.3. In addition to some bug fixes, it has an improved Grammar Helper and adds Sample Phrases that make it easier to put the Grammar Help to use! Also, check out my post on Feature Roadmap. It'll give you an idea of what's coming in the future. Working on the Database updates right now. Enjoy, Dave

At present I am using Radar Contact, which offers a co-pilot option (Otto). I can select the co-pilot option & set the flight parameters such that I can walk away from the computer for long periods of time (several hours if necessary) and have "Otto" speak to the various en-route controllers, change squawk codes as necessary and pause the flight at a predetermined distance from my destination. Does P2ATC offer those features?

I am approaching KMSP (Rwy 22), ATC tells me to contact tower on 119.970. I click on Com 1 freq and key-in 119.970, but com1 comes up as 119.975. I check the INFO box for KMSP and its says tower is on 119.975. I assume that I will not be able to contact tower due to slight change in freq that is showing on Com1. Thats what happened, no contact with tower. ATC is telling one thing and Info says another. I M Confused. I check the FAA website and see no reference at all to 119.970 or 119.975. Is this a problem with xplane data or Pilot2ATC data?? Or maybe its a pilot problem...... Thanks for thoughts, Chuck

I understand from your FAQ's page that P2ATC takes its wx info from an on-line,, real time source instead of directly from the sim. I fly using Active Sky Next wx, almost exclusively in the on-line, dynamic historical mode. Am I correct in my reading that at present there is no way to request a different runway for take off/landing from the one given you by the ATC controller? Historical wx can differ markedly from that being used in real time.

Hi Dave, Please, can you explain me how works the "Speech Recognition Settings" ? Before the version 1.3.0.1 I had no problem with recognition. After the version 1.3.0.1 install, everything I said was unrecognized (no text in window). I tested with the same airport before and after. I "played" randomly with number (70, 70), things are a little better now but seems not like before. So, if I know the meaning of this option I'll try to refine tuning. Thanks in advance, Regards, Richard Portier

I have tried your program but ran out of time on the trial do to work. My question is can the copilot handle the coms or do i have to do all the interaction with atc. That being said it is hard to talk to atc when the work load is high in the plane and i think in real life the pnf handles the comms. Thanks Ted Kiser

Greetings Iam notice in your product info that Pilot2ATC does not read from weather programs. OK. I have just migrated to P3D, which I understand does not support real world weather. Would it be possible to add an option to import and read a metar? I am asking out of complete ignorance. Just curious. Thanks Graham

Currently P2ATC will only accept mp3 format for the ATC audio files. If like me your ATC chatter files are in .wav format then I have found a site that converts them quickly and easily. http://www.convertfiles.com/ Hope you find this helpful BTW the 'Radio background file is stored in .....AppData\Roaming\Pilot2ATC\Sounds You have a choice of two that comes with the program

Hi Dave, Just downloaded the trail version and have a few questions to start with: ATC Audio files: I have 'lots' of pre recorded background ATC files which are either by ICAO or genric for a country (USA, Germany etc), would it be possible to get Pilot2ATC to loop through these. EG, you setup the folder for Departure, Tower etc and in those folder you have the correct sound files. When you are the frequency the correct background plays. On Clearance then clearance sounds play either in order or randomlly. Is there a 'standard' radio background file or can you point to one ? I have Navigraph charts can I pull these into pilot2ATC? Thanks …
