I was just wondering if any of you v1 owners already went ahead and tested v2 ? If yes , could you please post a "review" ? Id be interested in the "vectoring" skills of the software .Is its vectoring skills better than proatcs ? If vectoring works good I'm in. Any info appreciated.

Quick observation - I am not getting any feedback from ATC - I have to manually go to commands windows and initiate something even then its not progressing - so would it be safe to say this program still needs voice interaction to cycle it as I hear nothing - thanks Guys

I am still using the trial version. I am requesting to cross a runway with Ground. When I made the request I was told I am on the wrong frequency. I go to info and it shows two different frequencies. I tried both frequencies and I was told I am on the wrong frequency.....HELP!!!!!!!!!!!! I would like to purchase this product but these obstacles are prventing me from laying out $59.95

  7. Hello, My name is Ken Smith. I purchased Pilot2ATC due to the interest generated in V2 and what I read on AVSIM. I have P3D V3.1. I am registered and the install went smoothly. I read the documentation. All buttons work either with or without the simulator. I would get an error when pressing connect when I don't have the simulator on (which would be expected) that states SIM connect error. Unable to connect to the SIM or trouble starting the Speech Recognition Engine. Error Msg: Object reference not set to an instance of an object. Again, expected if the sim was not running. My problem is that when I have P3D running (aircraft on taxiway or at gate), when I hit CO…

Hi have been following this forum and I am excited about the new version soon to be made available. I especially look forward to using the voice part, will the speech automatically work out of the box or do you need to do some windows speech training before using pilot2atc. Thanks,Jim

  9. Hi everyone. I really appreciate all the interest in the V2.0 Beta release. It should be out in a matter of hours, not weeks. Pushing hard to get it ready before the weekend. I opened this thread so we can have a single place to go for questions and information on the status of the V2 Beta. So a few questions that have come up elsewhere are worth mentioning here: 1) The upgrade to V2.0 is Free to existing users 2) The Beta code will only be available initially to current V1 users. This will avoid having the initial environment setup issues, like language pack installation, Windows settings, etc. that could inhibit our ability to do a "laser focused" V2 Be…

In the Prepar3D subforum my attention was drawn to Pilot2ATC v2 (in a topic about another ATC addon). I have been reading the beta manual and watching some video's. Looks very promising. I already had a few answers to questions of mine but by now I think it's time to not spam the topic about that other addon anymore and start asking things right here. First of all: I read in the manual that real time weather is used. Now I always use ANS and the historic weather option. I like the new automatic SID and START options but I suppose those depend on the current weather that is downloaded by Pilot2ATC. Does that mean I cannot use those options when I use ASN's histo…

  11. Started by Dscho,

Hello all, I am just testing the trial and it looks very promising to me, so that I likely would buy a licence. But I still have 2 questions: 1. Which navigation database does P2A use - is it possible to use / link to Navigraph? 2. If I buy the current version now, would then be an upgrade to v2 available, or should I wait until v2 is out? Thank in advance for any hints, Dscho

Dave or Clive, I like to run ATC or other apps on a network machine. There doesn't appear to be any explicit instructions on how to do this, so I will give it a try to see if I can figure it out. I will, as per your encouragement, get familiar with version 1 before beginning the Beta test period. However, if you have any suggestions on a network install, please let me know. Once Beta begins, will you want us to post our results and issues on this forum, or on a "closed" forum? Hopefully, this afternoon I will have time to install V1. Bill

Dave or Clive, I feel guilty making this request about new feature before even trying out your product, so please don't hold it against me!!!!!!!!!!!! When V2 comes out, the user will have two choice as to how to communicate with ATC. 1) If you wish to use your own voice, then it will be "PTT" 2) If you would rather use P2A to "speak for you." then you would use "SayIt." As I understand it, there will be a key press available for the "PTT" function that can be assigned to a joystick button, but not one for "SayIt." So my request is to ask for another key press for "SayIt," or permit a choice of assigning the key press to either "PTT" or "SayIt." One…

The manual(Beta) has been released. It is not complete but it will give you a very good idea of what V2 is going to be able to do from an ATC point of view Have a look and leave some feeddback and questions either here or on the Pilot to ATC Forum NB: The SID/STAR has slightly changed; now P2A will also 'recommend' a valid SID/STAR/APP depending on the weather Here it is: http://pilot2atc.com/Product/P2A_200%20User%20Guide.pdf Thanks

Greetings, Congratulations on the new release. I posted this in a thread in the FSX forum. Perhaps it was misplaced. I noticed that the new version of Pilot2ATC would take elevation into account when assigning altitudes, so as not to fly one's plane into a mountain, etc. As far as I know, no other atc does this. Is this a USA only feature? I do much of my flying in Canada. Approaching Calgary from the west is problematic for most ATC addons. Perhaps you could give me some guidance. I do have a navigraph subscription and if Pilot2ATC reads sectionals, I could create those files. If not, forgive the flight (pun not intended) of fancy:) Thanks

Hi Dave Would it be possible to release the new manual now so we could get a head start on program release? Thx Lee

  17. Forgive me if this has been covered already, I haven't seen anyone else speak of this issue in these forums. I was looking for" The Radio Background File comes with Pilot2ATC. It provides the background static for the ATC Voices". In the user manual it shows that it resides in a folder called sound files. I don't seem to have that folder in my install. Where can I get it? Maybe an incomplete download perhaps? Thanks in advance, DustBeats P.S. I am very excited about this software, I just recently purchased and looking forward to enjoying...!

This is definitely a problem related to my PC. I installed the same download on a laptop and P2ATC works perfectly. On the FSX PC the program reaches the 10% stage and the progress indicator stops. After several seconds the GUI appears. The MAPs and Charts buttons work as well as several others UNTIL I try to enter a waypoint. There is a very long delay and then that accursed "Unhanded ....." message. After that, nothing works. I tried to get more info but found only: SQLLocal ---- DB 12.0 Event ID 528 Error Code 575 All Folder shares are correct, P2ATC is installed in C:\P2ATC Dave (P2ATC) has given lots of time helping narrow this problem down to this…

Hi Folks, Long time RC4 user who is just now upgrading to P3D V3... Just stumbled across this forum as I've never heard of it before... Watched some of your 2.0 videos and I'm intrigued... Does Pilot2ATC work with P3D ??? Is there any real ATC traffic separation provided ??? Would anyone be willing to discuss from an RC4 users perspective - what the major Pros/Cons of moving to Pilot2Atc are ??? I see speech recognition is included - so that's a real boost in realism... Thanks... Regards, Scott

  21. Started by OldFlyboy,

I installed the trial version today on my FSX PC. After several restarts of the PC/Pilot2ATC/FSX I can get a "connect" to FSX. The connection verifies the frequencies of the radios, shows my plane at KSAN, and even reports that I have the incorrect frequency st for comms. That's about all that wil work though. Almost any button I try gives a LONG pause, blank or gray screen which usually gets back to normal with the cursed "unhanded exception" error. Basically it reports that some subsystem, or network is not responding. I don't have a clue about what I am doing wrong. I went through all the config tabs with the manual in front of me and thought all settings were okay b…

This ATC has a lot of potential. It has "problems" but if you want to train your brain to readback intructions to ATC then this is a winner. Here are a few issues I noticed so far: - doesn't recognize the transponder selector in the PMDG NGX. Radar Contact seems to do this just fine so it is doable. - tried different things but couldn't get it to calculate TC and TD causing it to give me clearance directly to cruise altitude and diving to the runway to land. - missed approach at KLAS (read above) and tower vectored me into the mountains - requesting taxi to gate gives me taxi instructions to a random area of the airport. GSX recognizes specific gates so requesting spe…

Hello, Using X-Plane at KATL, I call clearance delivery and request IFR clearance to KMIA for my filed route. Atlanta Clearance Delevery gives me my clearance and tells me to contact ground on 118.10 when ready to taxi. When I'm ready to taxi, I set the radio on 118.10 and request taxi clearance. The Ground ATC tells me that I'm on the wrong frequency, but this is the frequency that clearance delivery told me to be on. I try several times for my taxi clearance before finally giving up. Why would I get instructions to contact ground at 118.10, when that is not the correct frequency? Thank you, Bob

Hi Voxatc has a co pilot that will handle the radios and ATC for you so there is no need to speak into a microphone. Does Pilot2ATC have this feature? Many thanks. John
