Dave, Where does P2A get the information for radio frequencies? I was trying to do a flight tonight from CYEG but there was no information for Edmonton. There were frequencies for another airport in the area. It's odd that there wouldn't be any info for an international airport. Also, the winds were 110@10. I requested runway 12 but ground insisted that I use runway 30. I am using AS16 for weather. Normally, P2A is very good about assigning the correct runway.

I started up Pilot2ATC this morning and and connected to the sim, I have the "Simulator Connected" message but I don't see the Recognition Engine started. I'm not getting any responses from ATC when I click the PITT button. I went into windows speech recognition and everything seems to be ok. Windows recognizes my speech

I have sent two PM's to admin@pilotatc in the past two days. I have not received any response yet which I find quite unusual based on my experiences in the past communicating with pilot2atc staff. Just following up. Thank You

I left KSAN on route to KLAS, ATC wants me to check in with KLAX and gave me the freq. I set the freq to KLAX. What is the correct phrase to let KLAX know that I am with them? . .

I am starting to go through Pilot2ATC. I loaded the FSX SE scenario, loaded the flight plan in Pilot2ATC and FSX SE. I was able to select the frequency for ATIS and get it selected in COM 1. I was expecting to hear ATIS for the airport I was at. but I heard nothing... In my flying days, after starting the engine, ATIS was usually the next step. I looked over the Tutorial / Test flights for Pilot2ATC. I didn't see anything about listening to ATIS.. Am I missing something? Can somebody give me the quick cookbook instructions? Thanks!

Flying out of kphx rwy 26 I requested "<callsign> Ready for departure runway 26" and tower responded to hold position because of traffic on final. But the traffic still was over 20 miles away from the airport, which is a long wait. Is there a way to change this so that "traffic on final" only happens when it is closer say 6 miles out?

Reading the Pilot2ATC documentation, you need to run FSX in windowed mode, because if the main FSX is in full screen mode and Pilot2ATC needs to always be on top, causing FSX to main window to lose focus and cause the SIM to minimize and pause. My understanding is that this takes a pretty substantial performance hit on FSX when running in windowed mode. This being the case, wouldn't it make more sense to run Pilot2ATC in a networked configuration, leaving FSX in full screen mode and interacting with Pilot2ATC on a different system / monitor? Just wondering if a good percentage of the Pilot2ATC users are running FSX versions in windowed mode with Pilot2ATC a…

I'm using the yoke button to control the PTT. I press the button to request something from the controller and then release the button. The controller will respond to my request. A few minutes later I have another request and press the yoke button to activate PTT. The previous request is repeated again. This is happening with all my communication with the controller. The controller repeats himself. Is there a setting I need to change? Flightman49

I'm trying out Pilot2ATC for the first time - really like the way the flight planner works, but I was wondering if there's a way to specify the starting gate for departure. I've searched the forum and Internet but can't find anything for how to do this, assuming it's possible. I've tried exporting a flight plan and importing it into Plan-G (which allows you to specify the starting gate), but the waypoints in Plan-G don't match those in Pilot2ATC for some reason. Also tried creating a FP in Plan-G, exporting and then importing into Pilot2ATC. But then it won't let me add SIDs/STARs, I can only add individual waypoints. I'm hoping there's a simple solution for this!

Hi, Thank you for the excellent trial to explore this superb program, I think it's great, very likely to purchase, respect for a great program cheers! In that spirit, a quick question please: so I really like to use the SayIt and ?/?+ functions, as I need to be quiet very often, and while the ?+ function is great and increased the options, I think there may be more voice activated options than we can currently access with ?/?+. For instance the Request>Direct facility isn't up yet with SayIt/?+, that's a big one So I wanted please just to ask if we can look forward to more options using SayIt in the future? I also had one possible feature request for SayIt…

Hi, I'm not sure to understand the meaning of (manual p-86) about the Atc Give Vectors to Iaf option : "It will only do this if your final approach course is not aligned within about 45 degrees of your track to the IAF." Sorry for probably the dumb question : For example my arrival path = 360° and the runway is 27/09. What happens ? I ask this question because during an arrival quite similar to my example, Atc gave me a downwind heading and that's all...no more vectoring. Is (Approach Control) not it supposed to lead me on a circuit that brings me to the Ils interception (Ifr) ? I'll remake that flight to see if I have not missed something somewhere...…

Before even downloading the trial version, I have a few questions: Are most users of Pilot2ATC using a networked configuration? Do you have to use Wide FS, or does the application work via Simconnect like Active Sky Next, etc? If you install Pilot2ATC on the primary FSX computer, can you drag the Pilot2ATC application windows to another monitor in a multi monitor configuration? What is the hit on FPS based on running Networked vs on the Main FSX system. I have a pretty state of the art system currently getting between 40-60 FPS with some local glass instrument (Ipad) and radio interface (FSUIPC) and Active Sky Next networked configuration (Simconnect). Is it compat…

Had a problem where P2ATC didn't recognize a particular call sign. Finally by changing back to different aircraft type I had used before it finally recognized it. Used config to change and save then validate and file FP. Can you explain why it might not recognize a call sign and tell me correct procedure for registering it? I use real weather through FSGRW. ATC gives me the wrong baro reading and it is invariably 29.92. Does the program know what the weather really is if I am connected to real weather? How do I query ATIS for info? Love the program. Finally had a chance to get in to it. The YouTube 'say it' demo helped a bunch. Making big strides in learning the l…

Hello, I use Ultimate traffic in P3D v3.3.5, can you tell me if PILOT2 can read traffic of aircraft of this software, where My traffi6.operating on the airport? because I have never seen a single plane ready to take off before me, and it's really frustrating because it's so nice to have Ai traffic before your avion. Voxatc was very strong on this, because each of my flights there was always planes before me. then in of approach where other I have never heard the controller me to say trafic in view, insight ,right , and ask me to wait. Thancks

using 2.0.1.5, all goes well until after takeoff, when tower hands me over to centre. I contact centre using <Callsign> at <current altitude> but get no reply or acknowledgement. It does not even give me altitude to climb to. I checked the freq in COM1 matches the assigned freq. maybe I'm doing it wrong?

I was doing a flight today from YBCG (Coolongotta) to YBCS (Cairnes). Everything was good until about halfway through the flight ATC said I was off course, turm left to 210 degrees. I was flying on autopilot following the flight plan that I imported into P2A and also the FMGS of the Aerosoft Bus. The nav data I'm using is Navagraph Airac 1609. Is it possible that the error was caused by a different data set in P2A?

Did a short flight tonight with P3Dv3 and the AS A320. Perfect. I even dialed in the wrong frequency once and no crash or unhandled exception. I'm a refugee from that other ATC program that you talk to and I was very happy. Sids\Stars the whole enchilada. The only thing I miss is the interaction and chatter from AI traffic. I know you can get canned chatter but it's not quite the same. Otherwise, great flight. Keep up the good work, Dave.
