Hi everyone! Okay this might be a dumb question, but I'm going to ask anyway I've been trying ATC software and P2ATC was recommended to me via a fellow VA pilot. My questions are this, I am aware that this software takes advantage of Navdata, but how well is this translated back in to aircraft navigation. For example! I've been doing a lot of IFR flights in a dash8, in the mountainous area of Norway. Can P2ATC correctly get me through an approach without trying to bury me in a mountain? And I assume as it uses navdata it will give descent instructions in line with approach plates? And the final one, every now and then we all have to walk away from the keyboar…

Somewhat new to Pilot2ATC - having a lot of fun w/ it. I'm an old ProATCX user so I am used to 3 things w/ chatter files and not sure how to replicate here: 1) How do I tell P2A to pause the chatter files so they do not play over my communication w/ ATC or when ATC is talking to me. 2) W/ PATCX you had to wait for an opening in order to talk. If not, the system would give you a 'beep' and force you to wait. not sure if that is real world or not (I'm guessing 'no'), but wanted to see if P2A had that feature. 3) How do I get the chatter files 'not' to play on the ATIS frequency. Hi, I experiment some VFR flights with P2A, and I would like to point out some differences observed with real life rules. Please notice I speak here about French regulation rules (maybe the same in Europe - not sure). Allowed VFR flight levels above 4000 ft AGL, are always set with a 500 ft end to separate them from IFR FL's: 4500, 5500, 6500 and so on. It's not possible to set such altitudes in P2A FP Once Tower gives me the clearance for takoff, he requests also a new Squawk code. In real life I must keep my "7000" VFR Squawk code. A different Squawk is given to a VFR only by an ATC Center IF you request a flight following. Then as soon as you leave the ATC …

Dave, Working with the FPL window, Should the RED circle X (lower left of FPL window) work to delete a WPT from the FPL? No joy here with that when particular WPT window is highlighted. I also tried going to the far left of the highligted window in this case an Interesction icon and clicked on it, then the Way Point Options window comes up. That window does not show the title of the selected waypoint, it just says WPT. Selecting Center on Map works fine, as does Insert Before and Insert After. When I select Remove nothing happens except the FPL track line flashes once but nothing changes, i.e. removal of waypoint. Wpt up and down has also stopped working. All…

Hello dave, A little question about pilot2atc. The software currently is in a phase of stability. But will there be a reduction in the use of memory in the future? Pilot2ATC takes almost 1GB on its own when it is used. Thanks.

Hi, I see that in v2 there is a copilot who can reply to ATC instructions and tune frequencies. Will he also, after changing the frequency, contact the ATC center, or will this have to be done by me? I would like to completely separate the pilot flying (me) from the pilot interacting with ATC (copilot). Thanks.

Hello community, using Windows 7, I have to settle with "Anna" , which I - and many others too - don`t like very well and moreover only one voice is a bit boring! Searching the net for voices for Windows 7 I only found some payware voices ( IVONA and acapella) which sounds really good and natural, but are at lush 39 EUR each ( IVONA are offered with a 30 days trial period) So I want you guys to ask how did you handle this issue. Which voices do you use? Is it possible to install the voices of Windows 8 or 10 in Windows 7? Have you found any other voices ? And finally one question to P2A: would it possible to include some voices in a future version? Thanks an…

I do really like this utility, making you talk vocally with ATC. It is a great peace of work! Butt! In the end there is something missing. I do really miss some AI traffic and AI chatter, it feels so empty otherwise. Is it planned to do some AI traffic? If so, in which timeframe? Will Pilot2ATC be upgradable with a pricetag? My wishings is that AI traffic which is audible commanded by ATC will be a feature in the future. PS. I'm not gay...if you did see my trolling. .DS Edit: I'm running X-Plane, and I know Pilot2ATC is not directly communicating with this simulator, but maybe it would be possible to control AI traffic anyway?

I do not have any trouble loading/saving basic flight plans and exporting to a X-plane 10 FMC. A flight plan of little more complex nature is giving me trouble. I built up a route from my home airport, added some way-points and my final destination as back to home airport, KATW to KATW. It validated fine, and I then Filed and P2A asked if I would like a ILS approach and I responded, Yes. It built the route very nicely, complete with missed approach (red lines) and a procedure turn. I filed it with a cruise altitude and Plan GS and It all looked good in the MFD map. I saved the route as a .VFB file and exported it as a .FMS file for my FMC. I loaded the FMC and …

Hi Dave, EDIT: I found it Dave, was looking at the wrong tab!! Now lets see if I can get it to work. (PTTButton does now appear in the AppConfig.xml) I am attempting to get my CH Eclipse yoke (X-Plane 10 Ver 10.51) button set for P2A PTT, not the SayIt, just straight P2A PTT. Upon reading other PTT posts, I took a look at my C:\users\<UserName>\AppData\Roaming\P2A200\Settings\AppConfig.xml. I see about 4 instances of SayIt items but nothing from regular PTT. I can successfully set the SayIt but I see no option within the P2A Config screen for PTT, nor does a JoystickPTTBtn line appear in the XML file. Should there be a PTT line in that XML or is th…

I am unable to get a flight following if i make the request by voice. Each and every time i make the request for a flight following, i end up getting an unhandled exception (literally each and ever time). I have tried the exact same flight (KSTS - PYE - OSI - KPAO) more times than I can remember and no luck getting flight following by voice. :mad: If I use the SayIt function however, no problem! Initially I thought I merely messed up the phraseology, but I have checked time and time again in the conversation area and i am understood perfectly. I just completed a flight from ENGM to ESSA. Just about flawless. I'm still having issues with the ATIS but that may be something on my end. TOD was good. SIDS and STARS were as they should be. The winds at ENGM were calm so there was the usual confusion from AI traffic and control about the active runway but it wasn't a huge deal. I'll try something a little longer tomorrow. My only real want at this point for P2A is interaction with AI traffic. I'm sure that 's a huge deal and down the road a ways. Otherwise P2A is looking very good right now.

On departure from KIAD I was told to contact departure. I pressed Com2 where I had the departure frequency dialed in. I made the call to departure and got an exception and P2ATC shut down. After that things went pretty okay. I restarted P2A still in my climb, reloaded my flight plan, set cruise, and made a call to Departure and it communicated with me. Er...well...I told it I was climbing through 10,000 for 12,000 and it said roger. But it was pretty quiet after that. I went ahead and turned on course to my first fix (figured it might be a little confused). Then I requested a climb to FL240 and it gave it to me...hmmm...no frequency change. Let me see here. …

Unfortunately PILOT2 Atc he is not taken into account in the list of software so since for a year that this issue is pending, and they are unable to resolve a technical problem, they is not really very talented!

I get the instructions to taxi to runway 31L and hold short at runway 22R. When I get to runway 22R I request to cross the runway. I get confirmation to cross 22R. Now I am at my takeoff runway 31L and request for departure. I change the freq to Tower and request departure. Tower tells me to contact Ground for Taxi instructions. Flightman49

Hi everybody, I learned deeply Pilt2ATC (how to make a flight plan (*.pln), the voice, etc...), but how to use this flight plan with a PMDG, Labsimlabs or Aérosoft planes. I cann't insert it in the FMC, and to use with Aivlasoft, I need a *.rte file. Until now I use PFPX which does what I need. Do you have some idea, if it's possible to get the ATC with this sort of planes or it's only to use with FSX ? Thanks in advance

Hello there, First I wanted to say I'm really impressed with Pilot2Atc program,very very promising, and I'm discovering only since a few days through the trial version. I'm currently flying at a stable cruise level FL220 with the Q400 - pressure set @ 1013 mbar as requested, and controller ask me each 10 seconds to expedite my climb to FL220, so I guess it might show that the FL is not computed from the standard pressure 1013 / 29.92. Any tips? Thanks EDIT: forgot to mention I'm using "Sim weather " option and weather is handle by AS16

Hi all, i'd like some confirmation if P2ATC works with PSX. It works fine with default planes, but with PSX it does not. It does not seem to pick me up in the air, as the current waypoint does not change. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

In the case I have to restart P2A during for example the cruising phase, I proceed like this: Load and "validate" the initial flight plan in P2A, verify the computed TOD to be in front of my current position Connect to the sim "File" Flight Plan Find the nearest ATC Center or Approach/Departure frequency Contact the controller to try synchronize the guidance with my current position: contact is made, I request my current flight level to be sure controller have it. Hi, I had an IFR flight to YPPF which had both ground and tower controllers but no approach controller. At about 100 miles out I checked the frequency and saw no approach controller so I set a user way point at the end of the indicated approach direction line. I thought I would contact tower when I was closer and request RNAV for 21R. So I switched from center to the tower frequency and made contact. It gave me a transition which I added to the flight plan. I was told I was off course and it began directing me in the opposite direction to the active and I was still at 6000' (runway was 57'). The approach direction line then disappeared a new red approach line appeared…

I plan on running Pilot2atc on another computer. Should I uninstall Pilot2atc on the PC that has the FSX and then install on a seperate PC? Will I have any problems installing on a seperate PC with the License?

With the addition of the FO was welcomed as he changes frequency and responds to ATC. On a handover the pilot is required to make initial contact. That's not a problem on shorter flights and actually adds to the immersion. What happens on a long haul flight where you might step away to have lunch? If you fail to contact the next controller what will happen when you return? What would be the best way to handle it?

I created a flightplan in pilot2atc saved it and then loaded it. The flight is from KSAN to KLAS, The flight was going well until half way through the flight I was told that "The flightplan seems to be out of date. Please file a new one and call back for clearance" File your flightplan and call again
