    I've had this issue several times, but I'm new to Pilot2ATC, so I'm not certain whether it is a bug or just that I'm doing something wrong. There are two situations in which ATC stops responding. One is just after they give me a vector ("turn heading 90"). Sometimes they ask me to expedite. I never hear from them again. If I fly that heading for 15 - 30 seconds, then turn back on course, they don't object, and seem to see me as I continue to get service. The second is a bit more serious. After telling me to change center frequencies, my co-pilot responds, and I get the little musical tone, but ATC never responds after that. I notice that the frequency identifica…

    Today I filed a flight plan from Oakland KOAK to Burbank KBUR: CNDEL3 CISKO RDHOT ROKKR1 The flight was perfect and P2A was awesome but something seemed a bit off. After takeoff I was transfered to departure and departure immediately told me to expect the destination START and APPROACH I filed. I appreciated the advanced notice but I was wondering if that would happen in real life, I wasn't even at 10,000 yet.

    Hi, I'm really starting to like the program (and it's great support!). Now I have a question: I want to take off from EHTE (uncontrolled) and I know that in reality you would get clearance by phone. I found a forum post mentioning this is simulated by getting clearance via nearby airportm, center or unicom. I tried a nearby airport but the clerance seemed to expect me to be on that airport (seen the expected runway), unicom is not listed for EHTE and I tried all Dutchmil and Amsterdam frequencies but they seem not be recognized by p2atc. How do I get the center frequency to request clearance to? Best Marcel

    First I would like to say I am blown away by P2ATC, I have used Vox for quite a while and think it is great. However, then X Plane 11 came along and with the ATC on X Plane 11 being both drastically incorrect and bordering on ridiculous I was about to cast X Plane to the ‘nice try’ department when I came across P2ATC. Brilliant! Game changer. Anyway, before I get carried away, a couple of bugs/issues or me getting it wrong. In no particular order, I seem to get forgotten about as soon as I get told to line up and wait, for how long? Well actually for ever until I give ATC a nudge by repeating ready for departure.     Flying out of KLAX I filed SID ORCKA1 It went well but it wasn't super realistic. ATC left me alone to flight the SID without issues, transfering me from tower to departure then to center. But in real life for this SID you get vectors to KLIPR. Is this how P2ATC normally works or do I have the wrong settings?

    Hi, I'm trying the demo, up to now the product looks great but I have a few problems. I must say a lot of them seem to have gone with the 2.2.1.0 update but the biggest problem is that most of the times at the start of a flight I don't get any reaction. So I keep trying to request clearance, request engine start etc. And then suddenly after about 10 minutes I start to get reactions to all requests (so it keeps looping for a few minutes). Is this a known issue? Is there a way to prevent this? Best, Marcel

    Is it possible to edit the ATC frequencies? for example at CYYZ P2A ATIS is 126.70 but in XP11 it is 133.10. Thanks Lee

    In the config screen under Flt Pln is a check box for "Load Cleared Flit Pln directly to P3D/FSX". I can't seem to get this to work. I may be misunderstanding this function or I'm not doing it right. Some help please.

    Read the manual and seems that it is the way to go forward after all these years using MCE and RC4. RC4 is showing it's age. Is it possible to undock Pilot2atc on to another screen with X-Plane 11 now that X-Plane11 allows undocking of various other views ??

    Had something interesting happen yesterday. I was at KSEA flying to KPDX. Got Clearence to expect 34R. Requested taxi and got "Taxi to 34R using taxiway Bravo Charlie hold short 34R and hold short 34R". Got to ILS Hold Short and was cleared to cross 34R. got up to the Hold short and was instructed to contact tower. Why the instruction to cross active runway? What's the difference between ILS Hold Short and Hold Short.

    With the latest update. p2a does not seem to be getting weather from fsx. I have that checked in the config. when I connect ATIS says no weather available for Kxxx and gives an active runway. This was working before. Also, When I have NOAA weather checked when weather is updated I am in the middle of a bunch of clouds that weren't there a second before. No clouds, Boom, clouds everywhere can't you use cloud draw distance setting in FSX and have us fly to the clouds instead?

    With a SIM weather setting, P2A will get the weather in P3D from FSUIPC. Does it matter if that weather was sent to P3D by AS16?? I am trying to understand why I need to change the P2A weather setting from SIM in order to get whatever weather is being used by P3D.

    I was flying from KLEB to KPHL today and just before I reached the final approach to KPHL the P2A moving map turned into a big red X. I did get a dialog box that looked like a .NET error but unfortunately I dismissed it before I could take a screen capture. Is this a known problem. All was well until loud variable pitch screeching started in headphones followed shortly after by 'P2ATC has stopped' message, P2ATC then shut down. The flight continued successfully.     Hi, I'm trying to update the taxiway's at KMRB. When I try to set a taxiway marker on a new taxiway path as a "hold short" it makes all the makers as hold short. Not sure what I'm doing wrong. Would appreciate any help with this.

    Dave, Can I enter a callsign without the aircraft type being required. For example, in Australia a typical callsign such as VH-ABC is referred to only as alpha bravo charlie and does not include beech or cessna. I'm having trouble getting the speech recognition to accept cessna but I'll keep practicing if required. On another note, I am getting a windows generated "jingle" everytime ATC responds ? Was this the problem with the latest update?

  21. This might be a limitation or a bug, Dave, let me know what you think. I was flying the Challenger 300 in X-Plane using the FMC for VNAV on a star into Toronto Pearson. I had requested an en-route decent from ATC at the TOD point and clearance was granted. I activated VNAV and shortly after TOD the FMC started a decent based on the flight plan. As I continued toward Toronto ATC handed me off to various new centers. I have Pilot2ATC setup to have the co-pilot manage the radios and responses.     I'm a bit confused as to what to do right after landing and exiting the runway. I was under the impression I should be told to contact ground but that is not happening. I tried to report to the tower that I have cleared the runway but ATC does not seem to recognize that report nor do I see that in the potential list of reports. http://www.pilotworkshop.com/tips/atc_contacting_ground.htm I seem to be able to ask the tower to Taxi to X and I think then it told me to contact ground. Can you fill me in on exactly what should be happening right after landing and exiting the runway? Mark

    I have always been allowing the SIM to report the ATIS information. I have X-Plane running with current weather and normally this matches Pilot2ATC. Today however, the winds are calm and X-Plane is reporting a different active runway at KLEB from what Pilot2ATC is reporting. So I thought, maybe I'll just turn on that option in Pilot2ATC to allow it to set the ATIS information. What I get is X-Plane reporting two different ATIS message verbally each one with a different active runway. They are also being spoken on top of each other.
