Why is the APPR button to the left of the map grayed out? Even if a flight plan with an approach is available, I can't use the APPR button. Only the Activate Approach button above the flight plan works.

I try to keep updated with Pilot2ATC, but I don't see a version file in the directory where pilot2atc is in nor do I see a date of the current update posted on the Pilot2ATC update page. Have I missed something? I want to test today's XP12 update but I'm not sure if I have the latest or not. I know I could just install the update but then I need to re-update the nav database.

I had an odd experience trying to set up ILS approaches over the weekend and I wanted to get some insight, I'm likely doing something wrong.

IFR flight plan, set up the departure and destination, from the destination airport in the fight planner, I click in, select Approaches, and choose ILS X in this case, and Load it up, I can see the waypoints and the fix I'm supposed to fly towards to start the approach. Cool. Validate, File, ready to go.

In the sim, MSFS2020, I'm using the 208 with the Garmin to set up the flight plan; I do that as normal. Select Approach, I choose the same ILS X, I choose Vectors, and hit Load. It all seems to be fine. Radio for clearance, and up I go.

Then it breaks down. P2ATC starts giving me vectors but they don't match the GPS plan. I have to choose to either fly manually as directed by P2ATC, or keep the Autopilot on the GPS route as planned. P2ATC got very cranky when I choose the latter 😄 but to me the directions on the GPS made more sense than where the ATC was taking me. Even the magenta line on the P2ATC map was closer to the GPS directions than the ATC headings.

To make matters worse, I was using Co-Pilot Auto responds, so I ended up in an audio loop, ATC giving the same command and my co-pilot reading it back, over and over and over, even when I tried to tell it to cancel IFR, or give it a different command. I wouldn't stop looping until I hit the connect button to disconnect it from MSFS (and I just continued the rest of the flight using the in-game route).

I tried a few more times but I could not get P2ATC to sync the ILS approach with the ones installed in the Garmin in the sim. I ended up just filing VFR plans in P2ATC and using the ILS approaches from the Garmin with "Visual Straight In" options on P2ATC.

Thoughts?

	Hi all

I have MSFS2024 and would like to have a ATC programme that works over a network.

1/ My understanding is I can install Pilot2atc on a separate computer connected to the same network. I will need to have FSCUIP 7 (free version) on the flight sim computer and widefs7 ( pay-were version? I think its called that) on the network PC. Basically, nothing new to install on the msfs2024 pc but Widefs7 and Pilot2atc on the network pc.

2/ The reason I want to install pilot2atc over the network is so that my flight sim screen is not cluttered.

3/ I don’t feel I want to use the microphone and voice recognition at present. I feel I would like to use the mouse and or keyboard on the second PC to work Pilot2atc. Is this feasible?

4/ I use Air manager on the second PC so I guess my network is working fine.

5/ Is there any thing else I need to be aware of?

Thanks in advance if you can help.

	Best wishes.

I’m not saying this is P2A’s fault, but I noticed miscommunications between the X-craft ERJ V2 and P2A V3

	- P2A does not send ATIS nor receives radio commands if the ERJ is powered by the GPU. It works if powered by APU or Generators.

	- P2A does not get radar contact if the transponder in TA/RA mode, it however does in other transponder modes.

	- P2A sees me at other altitude than what the ERJ altimeter is showing and keeps asking me to descend to the SID restriction.

I repeated the same flight with the Zibo and P2A worked fine. It seems the ERJ is not writing the expected information to the datarefs that P2A uses. But without know which datarefs are those, I don’t know what to ask x-craft.

What’s the best way to get the two developers to align?

I have been working on my home flight simulator to create a relatively close replica of the Piper PA28-235 that I fly in real life. I am using X-Plane 12, Air Manager for a 2D panel replicating the actual panel. We have an IFD-440 that I have replicated with an Ipad mini running IFD Trainer XP that operates Com1/Nav1 and the GPS. I also have the following propwash devices installed: PWS6000 audio panel, PWS 155 Dual radio (Com2/Nav2), PWS 320 transponder, and PWS 140 Autopilot. Prior to installing Pilot2ATC, all of the propwash devices worked great.

Once I installed P2A, the PWS 155 and the ipad running IFD Trainer XP will control the radios in P2A, but the PWS 155 will not show the frequencies. The Transponder will control the transponder in P2A, but same thing, no display. I have not tested the autopilot, but it appears the same, no display.

I would like to use these devices for a more realistic simulator to build "muscle memory" and use P2A to strengthen the IFR experience, with less interaction with it requiring a mouse, touch, etc. I understand there will be some learning and getting used to P2A.

Can someone please assist with this? The great and wonderful OZ, I mean MS Copilot tells me that I need to tell P2A to:

	• Use X‑Plane COM Frequencies
• Use X‑Plane NAV Frequencies
• Use X‑Plane Transponder
• Use X‑Plane Audio Panel
• Use X‑Plane Autopilot

I cannot locate this in P2A. Supposedly it is under settings, and speech, but I am not seeing anything there.

	Hi,

using the trial version to consider if purchase the tool.

It's a real good tool also considering the possibility to use AWS voices that are really good.

The only doubt I have is regarding the need to always use several mouse clicks to be able to send requests to ATC (I use copilot auto respond).

Is it planned to have hotkeys allowing to select the wanted request and the related different variants related that?

This could also allow to create a sort of panel (that i have in mind) to still more speed the issue of the requests and their different possible options.

	Thanks and kinf ìd regards

is there a way to start P2A in the middle of a flight, due to a crash/problem and you to re-load?

There seems to be no function to get an IFR Clearance once you have left the departure airport. Could a "Force Clearance" or something be implemented for such occasions?

	Thanks

I can't imagine this doesn't exist but I've scoured the manual and can't find any mention of it and neither can I find it in the Settings Menu. I'm pretty sure I used it in v2.

	Hello friends,

I'm new to P2ATC (in trial now), new to Avsim and am a total novice pilot flying exclusively C172, attempting touch and goes and short hops from my local airport to nearby small airports in X-Plane 12.

Perhaps I don't understand how ATC works in P2ATC or in real life, but in X-Plane 12, ATC handles me all the way through my flight, whereas P2ATC seems to stop giving vector instructions after I take off even remaining in the pattern. I know I'm misunderstanding something, but I don't know what I'm supposed to do.

Thank you for any help for a fledgling pilot.

I've conducted numerous commercial IFR flights using P2A V3.0.0 EA in X-Plane. I also performed these flights in parallel using P2A V2.7.0.3. I was unable to complete any of the flights in P2A V3 successfully because the connection to the controller was repeatedly lost, even though the aircraft's position was displayed correctly in P2A at all times. I suspect that the new IP connection to X-Plane 12 is unreliable. This makes flying with P2A V3 anything but enjoyable.

For example, you can attempt a short flight from LEBL to LEPA. You will not be able to complete it successfully. At the latest, halfway through the short flight, the controller stops responding, or the automatic frequency change by the copilot during handover simply doesn't occur. It's frustrating.

Zibo 737 works fine. What am I missing for the ERJ? I seem to be communicating OK. I have switched Transponder modes. COM1 switched between ATIS and ClrDel OK. Spinning my wheels.

I'm trying to setup a long haul in the PMDG 777-300ER and I keep getting this error message which is preventing me from Validating and Filing a FP.

Due to the necessary Step Climb procedure (P2A does not seem to be able to discern this) the FL alt. is coming in at FL300 when in fact the FP clearly shows step climbs up to FL 360. When I try and change the Cruise Alt. in P2A it appears to accept it at FL 360 and the altitudes in the Trgt Alt column confirm that but the message persists and I'm unable to fly.

I have already checked all possible "Ignore" boxes in the ATC Settings tab so I'm at a loss.
