Today I completed two flights in my B200 using P2A from San Diego to John Wayne. KSAN OCN SLI KSNA And I have to say I am very impressed with P2A! Flight #1: At initial contact with approach I said "<callsign> at 6000" and approach said to expect vector for ILS 20R, I let it do its thing and it eventually vectored me around the mountains to the ILS without issues. To be honest I thought it would crash me into the mountain, but it kept me away and at safe altitude. Flight #2: At initial contact with approach I said "<callsign> request visual approach". Hello, During a VFR flight, I noted the following : 1/ After being allowed to pass through a controlled zone, the controller does not request to report overhead the airfield when the route cross the installations and/or to recall when I arrive zone exit to exit the frequency. 2/ Arriving at the edge of the exit zone there is no option to report that I arrive in zone exit and to ask to leave the frequency. 3/ After the landing, when I arrive at the park, there is no possibility of asking to leave the frequency.

Does Pilot2ATC work on a separate monitor? Is it going to be compatible with XPlane 1.50? When is Navigraph support expected? Can I use my FSGlobalRealWeather app? Thanks,

Hi I fly mainly VFR, sometimes with a flight plan, sometimes without. I have a couple of questions re procedures. 1. If I fly with a flight plan, does departure hand me over to centre, and if so, where do you get the freq's for it. If not, do I just dial centre and contact them? 2. For flying around from A to B without a flight plan, when I approach my destination, is it up to me to put the approach freq or multicom of the destination and dial it in? With the default ATC, this is of course done for you. A short summary of VFR flight would be most helpful. Hi I want to evaluate ver 2 so I downloaded V2 beta 2.0.1.2 and received a trial key. No problems. I then downloaded ver 2.0.1.3 update and it is now telling me that a licence key can only be activated once for any PC and on a max of one PC. Something must have gone wrong or I should not have updated. Dave, any chance of sorting this out please. Many thanks John

Today I was flying from Las Vegas to John Wayne (KSNA). I was flying the KAYOH5 as planned and as instructed by ATC. Then I realized this will take through a long loop to VOR SLI before heading to capture the ILS for 20R. There got to be a much shorter way. After crossing over VOR HDF I request vectors to capture the ILS FOR 20R, I get vectors and start heading to capture the localizer. The problem is I never got cleared to descend even after asking twice and I didn't get cleared for the ILS either. I assumed maybe ATC meant I was cleared, so I capture the localizer and start descending. Immediately ATC starts complaining asking me to return to the heading and altitude (…

Just wanted to let everyone know that RealATC Audio File for Chatter is outstanding. Go to http://realatc.net/realATCp2atc.htm. They are having a discount for $4.95 which you can't be beat. Normally is $9.95. Download the Files, unzip them. Go to users Guide and follow the instructions for the files. The easiest way to get it working when using ATCLive.net files is to use a separate file for each controller type. To do this, you download and store the files where you like. After trying the beta today I decided I'll definitely buy this product. It fill's the gap I had when switching from fsx to xplane and was left without VOXatc. Thank you for making this. I hope more people will look into it and support the development. I do have a small question. Is there planned anytime in the development to display ATC Interaction Area menu inside Xplane. More specificaly the part that states all the said sentences said by the ATC and you. It could be bind to a custom key. I'm asking this because I really like to hand fly GA airplanes. Two days ago I reinstalled P2ATC 2.0.13. Everything works except for not hearing any of the chatter files I installed.I am still working on my problem. Started a new subject asking for help but somehow now I can't find my post. Anyway could someone do an in depth video tutorial on the proper way to install and activate all of the chatter files. I know that there some videos on YouTube that touches on the subject but I need the how to deal with the file structure in order to do it correctly. I have noticed several other posts that have had the same problem as I have. P2ATC is a great Project and it's still in it's infancy and growing. Harry

Hi, I've just downloaded the trial and trying it out. I'm unable to hear any voices though. I'm just using the 'Say it' method for now. Everything seems set up ok with my speakers and headset, but can't hear anything through either. Also when I try to 'Tst' a voice in the Voices tab there is no sound. Otherwise it seems the chatter is going across between pilot and clearance looking at the message box text as I got a clearance. Thanks, Greg

I'm testing the 10 day trail and I'm having a small issue. Whenever I make an IFR clearance request the atc responds with "Aircraft calling tower say again with your proper call sign". I get the same response if I use the SayIT option.

Hello, I am using Pilot2ATC in X-Plane 10 with Windows 7 Pro 64bit. I will get everything set up with the flight plan at Sacramento airport, for a trip with the FlyJSim 727v.2 to Las Vegas. I will get clearance for my IFR plan, instructions to the active runway and instructions for altitude. I can ask for a higher altitude and get approved with no problems. The problem is that I am not getting handed off from departure. When I get to Las Vegas, I will not get handed over to approach. Last night I had to just go ahead and land on my own because I was getting close to running out of fuel. When I ask for a lower altitude, ATC response by saying that I'm talking to "d…

Hello Dave, On the one hand, I would like to have the tutorials you used to have the Pilot2ATC webpage. I can't see them anymore. Could you upload them again, please? On the other hand, I miss in the version 2 the option for printing the different sentences that you can use to interact with the ATCs. I those sentences would be organice in the order that you have to use them (deliverance, ground, tower, approach/departure, ...) , that would be fantastic. regards

I have a question, when ATC says "Flight the RIIVR2 arrival" is that a clearance to descend via the STAR or just for lateral navigation? I assumed I was cleared to descend but then I got instruction to descend and maintain xxx feet. ATC didn't complained but I wasn't sure what to do.

Filed and flew klas-klax. Everything went well but the last altitude clearance I got was to 13000 feet. I was never transfered to tower. And after I flew over klax airport ATC said I was off course.

I've come pretty late to this party so I'm sure most of my observations have already been mentioned. I've used just about all of the ATC addons from even before Radar Contact came on the scene up to Pilot2ATC. There is one of them that is perfect. In some respects, if you could put them in a blender and mix them all up, you might get the perfect program. Trying to depart from ksan rwy 27 Pilot2ATC v2 keeps telling me I am #2 for departure but there is no other aircraft around. And I never get clearance. Tried again with AI traffic set to zero and it worked ok.

Everything working fine. Doing the updates with no problems. Now I notice that there is a Beta Version 2.0.1.2. I have your emails on what to do like renaming the original folder to Pilot2ATC_20032 per your email which I have done. Now I see there is a "Download V2 Beta v 2.0.12" and a "Download Version 2.0.1.2 Update". I don't want to mess things up. How do I handle this. I am at a standstill right now. Hi, i am testting the trial version and is quite good but v2 i think is much better, the only problem to me to buy is the Navigraph that at the moment not have support, Do you know is this can resolve soon? I do all my flight plans in PFPX and always use the last Airac. Thanks.

I've updated the base download Database slightly to correct a couple of issues reported during the Beta so far related to frequencies at various airports. Otherwise, this download is the same as the latest update 2.0.0.32. If you are not having issues with 2.0.0.32, no need to update. WARNING If you do download and install this, it will replace your Databases, Sound files, etc. If you have updated any of these, then you should rename the Pilot2ATC_200 main installation folder to something like Pilot2ATC_20032 before you install the new version. Then, you can copy any of your updates from that renamed old folder to the new installation. Dave
