Microsoft Flight Simulator (2020/2024)

I bought the Bell 47G helicopter from FlyInside and I've just been having a blast with it, using my old Thrustmaster T16000M FCS joystick. In fact, since I bought it I haven't flown in anything else. But I wanted a finer sense of throttle control and rudders that are completely separate from the joystick, so I bought a new Thrustmaster T-Flight Hotas X. Here's my problem in a nutshell and I am hoping there's an easy fix: There are 4 directions, (obviously,) Forward, Back, Left and Right. Two of them are just fine and two are not. Trying to relocate software which I seem to have lost. Cannot remember the name, but it loaded separately to FS2020. It enabled the user to plot a flightplan with waypoints. It enable the user to fly a kind of auto approach into an airport It enable you to see other multiplayers It enabled teleporting. The first level of use was free, with additional levels obtainable at a small monthly cost. I think there were also a few instruction Youtube with it. One was an approach to Broome with the TBM and the other was an auto approach into YSBK. Any help in finding the software would be so greatly appreciated 🙂

Since yesterday evening I had problems getting online (BTW still shows me Offline) but after numerous attempts I got this-see below-WORLD MAP NEW. Does anybody know what is new?

V-sync and frame rate limit stopped working today in the MSFS Graphics window. It always worked before. Frame rates zoom up over 60 with v-sync on or off, and with frames rates locked at 20, 30, or 60. Frame rates just zoom up past all set limits. My workaround is to use RivaTuner which still does lock the frame rates perfectly. This keeps my cpu nice and cool using moderate frame rates.

Anyone else lost bindings recently? I found today that I've lost Keyboard Speed Brake & Engine Thrust Reverse bindings on a couple of airliners, & a joystick throttle binding as well. T45

Hi. A few days ago I played, and have CTD after 1 hour flight. Now, I'm trying to start the game, and in addition to the message "press any button" (that hadn't appeared for last months), then the screen goes black, playing the music, and it stays that way. Does anyone know what 30680236 problem might be?

Hey guys so I haven’t flown msfs in a couple of months. now I did update to SU5 and I have noticed scenery is blurry with same settings. I do have film grain to 0 i also did some research with LOD set to 4 or 5 instead of 1 any performance issue with this? can anyone please post their settings if it’s working well for you with the flybywire a320 with the same pc parts of a i9 9900k not oc 1080ti 32 gm vram thanks mike

So up until this week most of my flights with MSFS have been 60 minutes or less. I did one of a couple of hours in the 390 from NJ to Road America in Wisconsin. This week I decided to let the DC-6 stretch her legs. KSFO-PHOG, ~8 1/2 hours flight time. Flight 1 I got all the way to Maui and it was 1 mile visibility. My precious DC6 is still wedged into the side of the mountain. Flight 2 I forgot about that pesky fuel management. Flamed out and spiraled into the sea. Hi, In the arrival page of the Boardcomputer. I must first select the approach (i.e. ILS 25L) then I can select the STAR. Is this how it should work? Because sometimes I get first the STAR from the ATC and later the approach procedure. If the vatsim controller wants me to fly a star, I can't select it without selecting a approach first. Do I something wrong?

Is anyone else having this issue? I've been experimenting with a couple different freeware replay utilities lately (SkyDolly and Flight Recorder). When replaying a flight to view my landing, at the exact moment my wheels touch the runway, the sim freezes for about 20 seconds or so. It usually does not cause a CTD and the sim will recover and function as normal once it does. Is there a known cause of this? I'm having a hard time finding anything.

When starting a flight with the TBM & Bonanza it appears in skeleton form. I have been away from the flightsim computer during part of the summer and had an issue like that before that was fixed somehow. Unfortunately i don't recall how. I wonder if i picked the wrong TBM/Bonanza in MSFS when choosing the planes. How do you differentiate between Mods and Default when choosing planes in MSFS. I look forward to some guidance on this item. Thanks.

I was originally an Alpha tester but just didn't play much at release due to frustrations and performance issues. Have read horror stories about SU5 but I figured I'd jump back in given the performance increase should help with my ancient GTX970 (if video cards ever go back to MSRP, I'll upgrade). I'm going to Taos, NM in a few weeks so I figured a flight there would be nice. Loaded up in the 172 for something simple and set the GPS for Angel Fire about 20 miles away. The plane started up as expected, it's no longer pulling left on taxi, and the takeoff roll feels good, if a little twitchy as speed builds (haven't adjusted sensitivities yet). Asking this, because looking at Germany in Bingmaps, it looks like they may have updated the maps. Jorg talked about updated Bingdata for Germany for the upcoming WU, but I understood that Bing updates get streamed into MSFS in realtime. Am I wrong? Is it done in WUs only? The same for Switzerland, which looks to have extremely nice data.

...the weather in the southern US right now with the hurricane passing through. I just did a flight from Dallas to somewhere near the hurricane in the A320 FBW. Now, I always hand fly down (including throttles) from 2500ft regardless of weather. I am using ILS. I am expecting bad conditions but I have never seen weather as bad as this. Winds were 40mph which I can handle but visibility was zero in driving rain. I've landed manually in zero visibility before but this was not zero visibility where you can see the runway lights at 200ft or even 100ft, so you can get it on the runway since its hard to react to the ILS this close since the needles are all over the pl…

Hey guys n gals.. Quick question.... when you change your selection of add-ons in add-on linker, does add-on linker automatically delete and remove the content.xml file and rebuild it, or does it just change the things it has linked to in the community folder and add to content.xml? I don't use it (yet) but I have found that the content.xml file still retains old add-ons that have been used but are not still in the community folder, and in one case the lack of an add-on in the community folder, but still included in content.xml caused an issue with loading. At least, upon deleting content.xml the sim then went ahead happily and built a new one with no issues…
