Microsoft Flight Simulator (2020/2024)

I know with this latest patch they fixed the jet-like takeoff roll hehe... But they seemed to have killed off the cruise power. I can barely make 150 KTAS at 8000 ft. If you really push the Seminole you'll true out around 170. 140-150 ktas would be maybe 75% power. If only the flight model was editable..... *heavy sigh marketplace* At any rate, anyone else seeing this? edit: found an old chart....looks like I was pretty close with my guesses. 😃 ..here in Germany mostly about around 5 p.m. Now as i German and this is a Update for Germany and Surroundings i'am very excited to see what's coming. But i think there `s coming a lot fixes what we got from SU5 which are not directly related to WU6 so hopefully nothing is mutch breaking the sim and the Community folder with the stuff inside there. So as time goes by fast we will see suner or later what happens.. cheers 😉

So I have about five hours of flying planned tomorrow in the Turbo Bonanza. I plan to be up and off of my originating airport about two hours before the typical update time (1500 to 1600Z). When I complete that flight I would like to return to the main menu to prep my 2nd flight. Will that subject me to the update? Or is the Main Menu a safe haven? Anyone know for certain? Guesses are of little value.

Anyone figured out how to assign the carb heat? I can't find it in the assignments.

Ok, so I'm a simmer who was never into the big jets until MSFS made them worthwhile for me, providing an immersive world I wanted to fly in. For the last few months, I've dug in, doing flights in the A320, but avoiding starting from cold and dark until now. So now I'm delving deeper, and moving into the details of startup, i'm bumping headfirst against the (dreaded) ingame checklist, which has more stuff to do than I ever dreamed, and right in the middle of frantically ticking of checkmarks, the plane starts pushback on its own, making me feel like a student with a long test with a short timer. I've been paying attention to the MSFS starting issues because my internet connection is not stellar and that I have noticed that the Marketplace is the primary point of failure when starting MSFS. There are 2 reasons for this. The first is that MSFS tries to login to MP and if it can't you cannot run the game. The second is that the login process tries to confirm your current installation of MP apps and if it cannot it will not allow you to run the game. The final issue that I have is installing updates from the MP which is an insidious process that can can take several minutes to install a < 1mb update. Anyone can confirm this? bs

Just picked up the Seneca, could be pilot error here but a few thing I noticed perhaps looking to see if anyone has these issues as well or maybe it’s just me. when you put flaps up the aircraft pitches incredibly nose high, anyone else? also, autopilot works horribly, on v/s mode it can’t capture the selected fpm at all, still gotta play around with it but anyone else had these issues? edit…It was pilot/user error

Hey guys, came across an amazing addon by @andhog that I want to bring to your attention. It has ability to save panel state and also Randomize it. Randomization option is great for added reality as originating checks have to be super carefully now. Also in config file you can select which switches to be randomized. No matter which way I try to launch MSFS this morning, it takes me to the MS Store and wants me to install "Gaming Services." I clicked on install now and it's asked me if I want to allow this app to make changes to my PC. I am Orange County, CA, and it's Monday at 7:25 AM. But it's already Tuesday in parts of the world. I wonder if this is WU6 trying to install itself? EDIT: I don't know what that was all about but it's not the update. I am playing in the sim now and there's been no update.

Hi, does reverse thrust work here as the same axis? I havent FSUIPC7 so here is a question for me. I talk about possibilty to set up for example for specific aircraft set up of axis to forward from 2/4 to 4/4 to forward thrust and from 1/4-2/4 as reverse (without touching any button) so how it worked for P3D for example. Is it possible here too? So on the same axis settings for: reverse, idle, max thrust. Btw. Does FSUIPC7 work on the background now and I must fire up it always manually before MSFS will run or it starts to working self, without touching any icon?

I filed a flight plan from YSBK to YSSY. I used LittleNavMap and used the RW11C SID from YBSK and RNAV-Z 07 Approach for YSSY. I'm flying in the default Cessna 152. The flight plan has me go from the BK NDB to ANKUB, SSYWF, SSYWM. These last three waypoints are the approach procedure. After getting IFR clearance, YSBK Ground puts me on RW29C departure. That's fine, I take off, circle left back to the the NDB, no problem. I then fly my heading south to ANKUB. At this point they hand me off to Melbourne Control who tells me to maintain heading and fly as planned. I do so. From this point on, I requested vectors a few times and I get the impression that…

Hello: Ever since the latest update, my saved cameras don't seem to be working as they did before. For instance, if I have a saved camera view for a button, it used to be that if I moved around the cabin / cockpit and hit that camera button, it would take me back to the location and view. Now it seems it doesn't always. It seems like if I cycle through my saved camera, it sometimes fixes the issue, but not always. Is there something I can do to fix this? Thanks, Dave

Hi Even Zendesk has no solution for my problem. Allready reinstalled twice W10 and MSFS Premium Edition from MS-Store. When I try to load any stock plane with my normal settings: **General Options/Data/Online functionality ON the loading process stops after 3/4. Only killing the task is the solution. When I load my Aerosoft CRJ700 3rd party plane purcheased direct from Aerosoft, everything works fine. General Options/Data/Online functionality OFF the loading process is ok and all planes loads normally, but I have no Online Weather and no Bing Data. If I put the functionality ON after loadig, MSFS stucks after 2-3 min probably then trying to get some o…

I have been flying with Photogrammetry off, because in most places, the default scenery is perfectly OK, but as these pictures from NYC show, PG adds a lot, in those cities where the data is good! Note: Orbx NY city scenery is active in both pictures

I installed MS Flight Simulator 2020 on my D:/ drive using the default install routines...I can't find it! The simulator runs fine but how do I locate the "Community" folder that I need to install some additional scenery? There seems not to be a Folder anywhere as I have been used to in past MS sims... (Makes me feel my age!) Thanks a lot... Steve

Hello all... I recently downloaded the F14 and Carrier add-on, (this morning), and I only get cold cats and no engagement of the wires upon landing... no launch, no recovery. That, and lots of 2-4 second grey-outs in my Valve index, that were not there before the install of these two pieces of software. I have the crashes off, the carrier program running on top of msfs... followed all the instructions. I know just enough about computers to be dangerous, plug and play basically. I can fly the turkey just fine... the A/C is tight and I LOVE the sound of that whistly-whine the engines make! It's just like I remember the real ones doing, only thing missing is your teeth vibra…
