Microsoft Flight Simulator (2020/2024)

One of the features I find less realistic in MFS, just as I found in previous versions of the MS sims / P3D are the overdone airport and runway lights, that make it uber simple to find a runway at dusk/night/dawn among dense urban areas. IRL I have found myself lost, if it wasn't for the ND... In MFS / P3D and now FS2020 too, it's difficult to fail to glimpse it...

Quick q: is there a way to get in-sim traffic to show up on my floreflight app? I'm currently using Flight Events (which is fantastic) but wondering if traffic can also be seen utilizing the ForeFlight traffic feature?\ If not, does anyone know a way to see where traffic is in-sim?

I’m planning on getting a tablet to use for chart viewing etc for my sim setup, and got wondering if it’s possible to dock the pms 750 mod to a tablet to use as a touchscreen instead of clicking? Is this even a possibility?

Update 6. Update doesnt install. Go on Forums. 100's of people with same issue. They say install XBox on PC? After installing it from XBox...hey what? I dont have XBox? Win 10 MSFS update 6 installs. When I start the sim it tells me a new mandatory update is available so update in the store. When I go to the store I click on the 3 dots where it says download and updates but it tells me all the apps and games are updated. It doesn't populate anything that requires updating. Anybody know how to get this working?

Hi All I did a full re-install of the Sim today. I have assigned the 'Toggle Speedbrakes' on the CJ4 to a button on my Thrustmaster Warthog joystick. However this binding is not working. The speedbrakes do come up if I use the speedbrake lever in the cockpit. Any ideas how to resolve Thanks

I am getting a notice that there is a new required update and to go to the MS Store to install it. I can't find an update anywhere. The MS Store says my simulator is up to date. I cannot get the simulator to start without installing the update. I need some serious advice on this.

Is there any reason why we shoudn't set a negative AVX offset in the BIOS? Could that cause any stability or performance issues with MSFS?

Hi All When I am in the Control Options menu and I want to expand an individual section - say on Control Surfaces I can't get the sub menus for that section to drop down so that I can assign bindings. The only way to get to them is to select the Expand All but then you have to scroll down through all the sections. I did a full sim re-install today to try and cure this and a few other gripes but it is there - was ok pre-SU5 Any help welcomed please

After going through the XBox App installation in order to download the latest update, all went well. Was playing last night with no problems. Tonight I try to launch the sim and it takes me straight to Gaming Services which says it is installed. Just in case, I installed it again but still no go. Also reinstalled the Xbox App again STILL NO GO - straight to gaming services. This is now getting beyond a joke. Can someone help please? Baz

After updating to WU6 and getting all the content, my first flight was out of LSGG, so I could tour Geneva (still has a number of problems, IMO). I got takeoff clearance but, once I was airborne, the ATC seems to have forgotten about me. It didn't give me buttons for requesting a touch-and-go or full-stop landing and, after I landed, it didn't give me handoff instructions for ground or any taxi instructions. I just had to taxi to a regular GA stand and shut down, whereupon the logbook credited me with a flight, but one takeoff and no landing. I saw another user on a Facebook group complaining that ATC was completely absent for them as well, so I decided to test it…

Hello, Can we use variable cruising altitudes in our flight plans ? When I fly in mountains with an Icon A5 at low altitude, I follow ground level. User waypoints can be too low, too high,I cannot read some of them while flying, just because my cruising altitude varies ! Here is a .pln alt sample : <CruisingAlt>4000</CruisingAlt> Is there any tip ? Thanks.

Hey everyone, I'm setting up custom hotkeys for wingview in the Bonanza. However I cant move the camera to the rearmost seat. Theres an invisible wall and no amount of up/down/left/right on the arrow keys can get past it. Any way to fix this, some .cfg file witchcraft?

I'm looking at both the BN-2 and EMB-110 for this and wanted to get some opinions from folks to see which one (if either) is the best product for some island hopping and overall MSFS experimentation. OK so I’m having a strange issue here with keybindings. I have: “F” = lower flaps 1 setting “LShft + F” = raise flaps one setting However the “LShft + F” is not working. Nothing happens. So I tried unassigning the command, so now “LShft + F” is not assigned to anything. HOWEVER, I press “F” to lower flaps 1 setting, and if i press “LShft + F” the slaps are set down ANOTHER setting! So I re-assign the key combo and it’s back to not doing anything. So it seems when “Shft + F” is assigned its cancelled it out because it’s still registering the “F” as its own keystroke (flaps down 1 setting). So “LShft + F” is registering as “LShft + F” as well as simply…

I love flying … have my entire life. But what I really love is exploring this amazing world of ours. There is another update in the marketplace go to scenery its free "Austria Switzerland and Germany" its part of the new update I loaded it and hey presto no spikes. well certainly none at Innsbruck.
