Microsoft Flight Simulator (2020/2024)

I saw one of these canard equipped 182's depart from Oshkosh, and immediately thought that the concept was so cool. I decided to look into it a bit further. It's an interesting mix of STOL performance, safety, and cruise performance. I'd love to see quirky birds like this in the sim. It's predecessor, the Wren 460, was even more interesting to me. It was equipped with moveable spoilers called "Wren's Teeth" atop each wing. Pretty wild concept, kind of makes sense. The video below is time linked to the segment showing the "Wren's Teeth" in action. Unfortunately it's not the best video.

I have tried deleting the profile for the a320 because I have a view that I cannot get rid of. It alternates between pilot view and a view of the back of cockpit. I am a fan of this aircraft - who isn't ? - and had it for various incarnations of MSFS, also a couple freewares for X-Plane, in DCS and in IL-2 as well as in War Thunder, and a few other combat flightsims from the 90s of the last Century. I think FlyingIron did an excellent work recreating the Spitfire 3d model, the sounds and even some details of systems modelling, but they were surely limited by the present state of the Modern FM, and found it difficult to properly replicate some of the well known characteristics of the Spitfire in terms of ground and flight handling. Was looking for news on the upcomming freeware Rotor Sim Pilot Robinson R44 and Airbus H125 Écureuil helicoptors amd came across an article which mentioned that the R44 (and presumably A125 as well) will be using an next generation MSFS version of his HTR flight model renamed AirlandFS. I only know of HTR in passing really but it did seem to be pretty good so that sounds like promising news - especially as the model look to be being offered free for freeware devs who want to use with an option to license it available for commercial dev, which should help bring more helos to sim even before MSFS do it officially. Definitely interested to see how the R44 turns out…

Hello, I have a question, is it any key (cant find it) to have roll inside cockpit? External drone camera has it but I cant find any keys for roll inside the plane. I can use keyboard to go forward, back, left, right, look down or up but no for roll of picture when Im in VC. I need it sometimes when I switch to 2D, in fact I fly almost 99% of the time in VR so generally I don't need it, just for 2D sometimes.

Anyone knows how how to fix/solve the issue/problem with the H145 is doing after take off, in the air, like small "jumps" up and down... A bit frustrating, otherwise this heli is a true and stunning beautey in all aspects just as it is in this BETA state! Lookign forward to the finished product fur sure! After the WU everything seemed to work ok. Today when starting the sim, it's like it is installed for the first time. Starts off with the Accessibility Settings then goes to Options, then Choose Graphics Settings, then Services. Won't save any settings and on every re-boot goes through the same thing. It always defaults to the C152. After messing with it all day I decided to just uninstall and reinstall the sim. That's what some guys did when they had the same problem and it fixed their problem. My problem is that I can't get it to re-download. During the dl process it says to pick a computer drive with at leas 123.0 GB. My C drive (where the sim was installed ) …

I love the DC6 but everytime i switch from the CRJ to DC6 i loose at least 10 fps average. Even the new cache slider doesn’t help a lot for a smooth panning ?

Has anyone else noticed that quite a few runways in MSFS have yellow Xs on them indicating they are closed. I looked up a few on Skyvector, and they were listed as active and current. For example I just took off on EFIV runway 26, and it was X's as closed. I don't have a chart for that airport, so I am not sure if it is really closed or not.

.No scenery add ons. Just the normal ms latest updates. Now my fps are way down. Same airports. I always had my settings on ultra and could fly the FBW 320 or the pmdg dc6 without any issues. Can anyone think of a reason why my performance is down, especially when others are claiming improved performance. thanks. tc

Hello Since the last release (1.19.8.0), I can no longer start my engines with CTRL+E when I begin the flight cold and dark, on a parking. Maybe it's due to the wizard setup that I changed but can't see anything that have to do with this. What could prevent engines from starting with CTRL+E? In advance, thanks for help.

Has there been anything announced with regard to the military aircraft side of our hobby? Any F-14 Tomcat or F-18? And will there be an aircraft carrier in MSFS 2020? The F-18 is made by Boeing so I hope to see the partnership with Boeing paying out there... And please give me a good tanker aircraft for those unbelievable moments of air to air refueling!!! Hi guys I'm gonna buy three 4k tv's and I'm thinking about one 49 inch in the middle and two 43 inch on the side. I dont have space for three 49 inch tv's. Is this a wise decision concerning scaling etc..one tv Being slightly larger than The Other two. Or would it be better to take three 43" tv's and keep it simple? Thanks for your thoughts! Jozeff

Just spotted that there's a new MSFS jet up on SimMarket - this time a model of the Vought F-8E Crusader (a 50/60/70s US Navy Fighter known as the last of the Gunfighters and brother to the A7 Corsair ground attack aircraft) Comes with 5 liveries (3 US, 2 French), both Air to Air and Air to Ground weapons and costs 29€ before tax. Hi, I've updates the sim to WU6 and now i hve awful textures on some buildings. In the habour of New York and Hamburg are some streets and textures (ships) under water. on the screen you see EDDF and LOWW buildings next to the airport. i think there are texture missing or it seems the donwloading bug from MSFS. i followed the Microsoft Forum Support Zendesk for loading issues and the update process, all negativ. Guys, I'm really trying to love MSFS2020 but the keyboard shortcuts have been gaslighting me nonstop. One of THE MOST important features I use in all flight sims is quick look cockpit views using the numpad numbers. I have assigned: 1) Ctrl+[numpad 4] -> save custom cockpit view 4 (main PFD) 2) Ctrl+[numpad 8] -> save custom cockpit view 8 (overhead panel 3) etc, etc Afterwards, pressing [numpad 8] quickly moves the cockpit camera to the overhead panel perfectly! Alright! But pressing [numpad 4] moves the camera forward and up into the ceiling! No matter how many ways I try to save the forward cockpit view to numpad 4 it throws it into the ceilin…
