Microsoft Flight Simulator (2020/2024)

Is there a way to map some joystick buttons to different showcase views instead of doing CTRL Shift 0, etc. or going through the menu? I can't figure it out. If anyone can point me in the right direction i would appreciate it.

Is there a status page for the marketplace servers anywhere? I am trying to pull down this last round of world updates, and I'll be 0.5GB into a package download and it will reset and start the download over from the beginning...over and over and over and over again failing at the same point in the download. it just keeps looping and pulling the same portion of the package over and over again without reaching completion - stopping/resetting at the exact same place every time. This is just killing my data usage with my ISP. I did try downloading a 3GB ISO file from a Microsoft server and it pulled (very expeditiously) without a hitch. No other internet connectivity is…

I recently lauched Msfs2020 after 1 week away, but this time the download kept restarting. It got to 100%, and the hoppped back to 0 or somthing like 19 percent. I've tried restarting my computer, and sm multiple time. Something strange is that every time I launch msfs, the update size is different. A place between 51mb and 26gb. The other text says that the mandatory update is only 817,35KiB tho, so I'm lost! Here's an example: 20210913090401_1 by Cgaming365, on Flickr I'm basically locked out of the game. Hi all, I have logged into the Content Manager this morning and there were 8 updates to install. I have managed to install the 3 that are not World updates, but the ones that are World Updates are not loading. They appear to reach a certain point of downloading and then get stuck, so the download is constantly caught in a loop. I have restarted the PC and MSFS but cannot seem to get around the issue.

There is a processing penalty the higher the FPS lock is set everyone should agree. This poll is getting at if you find video animation fluid at 30fps and are happy to retain image complexity and detail in exchange for this lower frame rate than some aspire to. If you DON'T run at 30fps locked by vsync in-sim, feel free to answer the 2nd option in the affirmative, or don't respond at all.

Out of a sudden,I cannot start the sim anymore. During the start, I get a warning that xbox cannot sign in into my account. What the heck is going on there?

I’ve built a new computer with the exception of a new graphics card. I installed X Plane 11 and a high settings (not quite max) I can get a frame rate of 60+. How would that indicate the performance of MSFS 2020.

For the recent update I had to uninstall and reinstall the sim and it was a long process as you all know. After updating I finally installed all the updates were available in the content manager and it works partially (Flyable) still I find some problems but the worst one is that all the sceneries are AUTOGEN even the bing map ON the Photogrammetry is On and also I have toggled between Photogrammetry ON and OFF but nothing changes the sceneries are same autogen like in FSX. If anybody have the similar problem or have any idea what I should about it. Please share it kindly. Thanks.

I wanted to make a video using Asobo's Boeing 747-8i in KLM colors showing its last service out of Sr. Marteen airport. When selecting the 747-8 I noticed there were 3 repaints for KLM. The 1st one didn't have a picture of the texture I opened it in SXM and noticed it had no texture, just lines as if it was the skeleton of the aircraft. From the Community folder I deleted that texture. I saw KLM 200 and KLM 300. Thinking these were textures for the Boeing 747 series 200 and 300 I decided to also delete them. I downloaded a new texture for the KLM Boeing 747-8 and I installed in the Community folder. I started Flight Simulator again, it run as normally does, it showed all…

NO ! I don't care if the damage model of fs2020 is "really realistic" compared to xplane or p3d standards , I'm curious about one simple trivial stupid thing perhaps already discussed but I have not looked very back........ how many keep the "damage" off\on ? personally I think it is more satisfying to see "what happens" if I do a stupid thing and the plane "bounce around" even if very unrealistic or unplausible if you prefer . I tried the XPForce demo, launching the program which then launched MSFS2020. But about half way through load it just crashes to desktop. Has anyone gotten it to work?

Long time lurker - first time poster! Is anyone else seeing problems with low resolution Bing mapping in the sim? Has been a constant problem for the last 48h for me, tried turning online functionality on/off, deleting rolling cache, emptied community folder, signed in & out of Xbox app, but no change. Haven't altered graphics settings or updated drivers (running NVIDIA 471.96 for the last fortnight). Internet connection stable at 50 MBps download. No issues with other textures, only ground images from Bing maps which look horrible (far worse than viewing Bing maps of the same area in a browser). I am seeing very few AI aircraft (not Live AI). Using Little Navmap as a guide, I see occasional AI aircraft in flight, but not in the sim. ATC asks my copilot to report traffic and she always see them, but I cannot. Little Navmap also displays a bunch of aircraft at airports but very few in flight. What do others think ?

I'm having some troubles loading a flight into/around Sydney. I have Orbx Cityscape Sydney purchased and installed through the marketplace. As it's several gigabytes in size, I was hoping to see a way to disable an add-on without deleting all the local files. I am not seeing a way to do this, am I missing something?

I have no idea what happened, but with my most recent start, I now have this OBJECTIVE box now comes onto the screen, and I have mostly lost all aircraft flight stick control. How can I terminate this OBJECTIVE? I have looked at the ASSIST menu, but can see where I can defeat this coming onto the screen, and I do have it disabled in the SYSTEM down pull...and it still comes on. I did not change anything prior to this start. Anyone? Thanks.

Do you know if these sceneries are causing issues with SU5/Hotfix? Every time i have tried to load a flight out of ORD and DCA the flight gets hung up loading. I haven't had that happen at any other airport. I am running Chicago City and Washington DC as well as FSDT ORD.

Anyone else have Discovery Flights where your audio volume fluctuates greatly? The engine sound will be very quite and then swell to get very loud for a little bit then soften once again and the music will get loud. It's very odd
