Hi all- I'm thinking about installing MSFS and was wondering what everyone started with. i see the Standard-Deluxe Premium and have looked at the comparison. Other than aircraft and airports, are the Deluxeand Premium versions worth the extra money? I'm thinking 3rd party devs will pick up the slack as time goes on. I see the PMDG DC6 is available too. Nice. I miss that aircraft in 5.2 :>(

I have not done much flying in MSFS, but recently have been flying the Baron58 while learning to use the G1000XNi, and every once in a while in cruse there is a sudden nose pitch up which I had initially assumed was just a sudden wind gust. But this sharp pitch up 'bump' also seems to happen on almost every landing just before touchdown. Is this a known issue, or is it more likely an issue with my setup? Thx, Al

Yes, there are still pages missing on the MFD, and the VFR map is out of synch with the GPS... but looking past that, some major things have been accomplished: - The visuals are better than any sim G1000 gauge I have seen before.. it looks like the real thing! - Flight plan management on the G1000 is darn near perfect - The autopilot flies complicated RNAV approaches, both lateral and vertical - You can highlight a waypoint in your flightplan, hit DTO, enter, enter and fly to this waypoint without losing the flightplan.. None of this was possible before... amazing.. truly amazing! I wonder at what point MS is going to say "Enough.. it does n…

So when i look at setting inside MSFS2020 I see a slider for Ambient Occlusion and usually set pretty high or ultra. So i updated Nvidia Driver today to latest and greatest and actually this Ambient Occlusion setting has been around a while inside Nvidia Settings but it says it doe not support MSFS2020 ... What the Heck?

Since one of the recent updates, remote ai a/c lights appear as oversized white rectangles. Do you see this too? If yes, is there a setting or a mod which would correct this.?

I’m only seeing a handful of aircraft on the ground at airports all over the world (and in the air). Is there a mod or trick to vastly increase the variety of other planes in the sim? To me this is one of the most unrealistic features I’ve seen so far in an otherwise amazing sim. Thanks for any help!

This dev is really on the ball, and i really commend his attitude. After chatting with various customers on Avisim just after launch, he has now updated the Spitfire at the gate and taken on numerous improvements, to what was already a great addon, even better. Thanks

I would like to do some helicopter practice, can you guys please list some good helipads to take off from with scenic views? How do you find helipads, do they have an ICAO code?

  15. Can someone else please confirm if this problem is isolated to just me. I tried taking off with the G36 (modded) and the 152 default but I keep running to what seems like an invisible wall on the runway. Thank you.

  16. Hi everyone, I have set up my number pad bound to the internal camera views. So for example: Num 8 = Look straight ahead Num 7 = Look forward left 45 degrees Num 4 = Look left 90 degrees (left wing) ...and so on. After the latest Hotfix an odd issue has surfaced. The Numpad 4,7,8,5 INTERNAL views now show EXTERNAL views. It is only those 4 keys affected. The rest of the numpad works as intended showing internal views. Try as I might I cannot get those 4 keys to save to internal view. I have checked the menu, checked the key bindings and everything is in order. It was working perfectly even after WU6 , its the Hotfix that did this. These p…

  17. Hey All, I've been away so long my original account was deleted here at Avsim, ah well. MSFS has brought me back, and I was wondering if anyone knows or has heard about any development of a Cessna 404 Titan for MSFS 2020? I flew C402s (B and C models) IRL years back. Had a chance to fly the Titan and was hooked on those engines. I own one in FSEconomy and would love to go back to it. Thanks all!

To get the correct wind direction in Live Weather, I always have to press the reset button in WorldMap before I plan my flights, otherwise I always get the runways that applied to my previous flights wind direction when I set my departure and arrivals, even though the wind direction has changed, has anyone else noted this?

Seems like a silly question that I'm going to ask. I can make and save flight plans in MSFS but where do I go to load one of the saved Flight plans back into MSFS and make it the current plan? Sorry for asking such a basic question but I have tried poking around in MSFS but haven't yet found the secret of loading a previously saved flight plan.

Hey guys - I'm having frustrations loading a .pln flight plan created in LittleNavMap into MSFS2020. This usually works fine for me, but every once in a while when I try to use an approach MSFS does crazy things. I'm hoping someone can help explain. I've attached the .pln flight plan and two screenshots of the flight plan in LNM and MSFS. Flight Plan: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1cewfZOkRYSicg5lJpjKuFxlaz9_D4v2N/view?usp=sharing Route in LittleNavMap: Route that gets loaded in MSFS after loading above flight plan:
