Has anyone questioned Asobo and/or Microsoft why the green & white flashing civilian airport beacons are operating in daytime VFR conditions? They should only be operating at night or during the day when the ceiling is less than 1000 feet and/or visibility less than 3 miles. Mike

Where do you go to get the new update? I feel like in the previous ones, it would direct you to the spot in the Microsoft Store where you would simply click update and you are all set until loading the sim. This time, it takes me to the store and I can't seem to find it. Can someone point me in the right direction? I am logged in to the store as well.

After my MSFS update I checked out the FBW A320. It was invisible on the tarmac (noted on another thread as well). I uninstalled it. Is the latest version downloadable at FBW site compatible?

This new update is great. I saw no problems with any scenery and the frame rate stayed at 30 to more for the whole trip even panning around, and this is at mach 1 to 2.4 for most of the trip. And my old sim computer is very middle of the road. It is dedicated to simming only. It has 4 screens and the lower one is a touch screen with Knobster for turning dials etc. I also use Navigraph on the left for navigation, that is how I flew this flight, I also had GPS guidance and ILS for the landing, you can see me tuning radios and changing OBS at times on the touch screen. So I just launched my Sim 30 mins ago and there's been a circling symbol in the bottom right of my screen for those 30 minutes on the screen with the yellow tail dragger.

Well, as others have mentioned...if you are less than at 100 % render scale, you will see almost a 98 percent reduction on terrain and city night lighting. That is what is happening with me at 90 percent, that I usually run my GTX1070 at to get 27-31 FPS. So...with reading this this morning (until then, I had no idea this was a bug...) I flew over Vancouver City at 90 render...and there were a few lights...(but..I wonder if this was a bug well before SU6, or even with SU5?!?!?) that I think I remember as it is, what it is...but then...holy jeez!....I put my render to 100, and the ENTIRE CITY lit up, like I don't think I ever remembered it....so....over Vancouver City …

So after the need to install the Xbox app yesterday as one frustrating step toward WU6, I boot up this morning and instead of my Windows desktop I greeted with an open, full screen, Xbox app. Multiple words not allowed! I am not a gaming enthusiast other than flight simulation, and I do not consider it that way. Task Manager, Startup, scroll to Xbox, right-click, disable.

I haven't launched the sim since last Sunday. I tried to run it a few minutes ago and a small dialog box comes out saying "Installing Dependencies" with just the cancel button on it. I left it alone for a couple minutes and it went away. And so on. Neither the XBox app not the Microsoft store app are allowing me to update. Did it happen to anyone else? A.

When I was a kid I would just go out in my backyard and look up and just stare. The stars, the planets... never knowing how long the light had travelled or whether any particular star was even still there. After the WU6 I get floating streetlights for highways and city lights, anywhere, at night These are about 1000 feet AGL and are very confusing... Anybody get this/?? I did an MSFS repair and reset and then reinstall, still floaters

Is this now causing any CTDs as It may be a culprit for me. Never had this many CTDs like now after I dumped the entire Community folder. Any one??

When I start MSFS is says there is a mandatory update which I have to install through the Microsoft store. However, in the MS store I am only given the options to play the game, (which give me the mandatory update message), install on my devices, which seems to run, then give me the mandatory update message again, or manage, which appears to do precisely nothing. At the end of the day I can't even start the sim...can anyone help please?

My update seems to be stuck at 98%, around the decompress-fs-base file section. I stopped the download and restarted but, it only had 50 mbs left to download and was stuck as well. I had it sit for over an hour and there wasn't any progress. Any suggestions of how to try to reinstall the update? It's the first issue I've had with any updates and I don't have any mods installed.

I noticed once the new update was done that the planes when flying real weather would act as if there was severe turbulence or unstable weather when it was clear and calm. The c172 would yaw from side to side erratically. The carenado piper did same thing. Anyone else experience this?

I've been noticing that from time to time, and without the presence of asymmetric thrust, the rudder trim is set by the AP and shows in the pedestal scale display. Pressing the "nil" button doesn't produce any effects. Any idea why it's being programmed that way ?

The departure and arrival screen still doesn't reflect the latest airports. What else is still problematic? Time to dive a little deeper.

Clouds shadows on water are really broken after su5.. they look like spots and are not reflections of clouds, few friends of mine is agree with me, so this is not my problem only... When it will be fixed ? nobody ask about it for coming q&a on 6 october... I just missed the question to ask... they close it..

I hope Asobo can shift their focus and attention to the following areas: Water Physics - improve on waves in the oceans. Most waves aren't really dependent on wind to show. Maybe in small bodies of water but not oceans. They form way out in the middle of nowhere and by the time they show up near coastal regions, they have grown in size and you can very much see them. ie: Hawaii's coastline should never have calm waters! Also fix the water elevation issue in lakes so we can have boats and ships appearing there properly without being sinked underneath. Just went to fire up MSFS and got a message a "new mandatory update is available. Please update MSFS in the Mircosoft store before launching" I can't find where to do this. it shows i have the sim bought and installed. Downloads and update selection in the store do not list my sim. Under "installed" it shows the sim but the only options are launch (which brings me back to the store or when the elipses is clicked the options are Share or pin to start. Also, it indicates it would love to sell me another copy. Any thoughts on how to proceed would be most appreciated. Thanks.
