Microsoft Flight Simulator (2020/2024)

This is odd, but I have installed the WU6 update today without issue. However, at EDDS, there are only half of a jetway at all of the gates (basically incomplete jetways). I also don’t see a control tower. Is it possible I am doing something wrong? Cheers, Pete

As the title says, when I open the MSFS, it won't get past a prompt that says "Mandatory update is needed, go to Microsoft store", or something like that. However, when I go to Microsoft Store, there are no updates available. I'm essentially locked out of the sim. Any thoughts? Thanks guys!

I had MSFS in both Series X and PC, side by side. Don’t get me wrong, the game is beautiful, but it is not 4K. It is just not. It is a 1440p well-scalled by Xbox to 4K output. And lots of things are clearly not Ultra. Some of them are low. Few of them are Ultra. Most of them are High. Still enjoyable though. But it is far, far, far away from PC 4K Ultra. It is hard (I would even say impossible) to compare with videos in YouTube due to compression. But I saw both 4K Ultra PC and Series X so I know what I am talking about.

Can anyone confirm that FlightBeam's KDEN add-on causes a CTD when flying direct from KDEN to KDFW?

With almost every European WU (England, France/Benelux, Nordics) came a set of autogen churches. That was a very nice feature. Where are the autogen churches in WU VI? Haven't seen any. Have you?

Hello Gang! I've noticed that I don't experience performance degradation at any airport except KDFW. Is it me or does DFW need some love? Thanks!

This isn't a WU6 issue but been on my mind since SU4 or 5. I'm sure in the early days you could change the time easily by increments of 1 min with a simple left/right toggle. Now we only have a slider which is a pain to dial in with the mouse? Did I dream that?

I cannot get the Skypad to load the flightplan from MCDU or Simbrief? It used to. What am I missing?

I am running v.1.18.15.0. I have a notice to upgrade to 1.19.18.0. I was not offered the option (?) for upgrading when I start MSFS2020. How do I do this now ? Dave Hinson

Many ground planes are pink until you get close to them. Is there a fix for this? This is NOT a WU6 issue as it started before 6 and hoped 6 would fix.

Ok this is a new one. Go into sim, update required go to store, no update at store but cannot play sim because it requires an update that is not there.

After SU5 the G3X in the xcub gave problems. Duplicate airfield and faulty Bearing distance and eta Not fixed. It worked fine. I hoped WT would have a look at it but they dont, at least not in the forseeable future. I have no ctd's dont want unlimited visibility iew, dont want unrealstic trees as far as you can see. Just fix the G3X!

After downloading this upgrade, I did a test flight with the same parameters as the previous version and I notice an improvement in the quality of the textures and a little but also an increase in fps instead now I detect the presence of constant stutters every 10/20 sec. which were completely absent in the previous version.

My expectations were great after Joerg Neumann had said that they wanted to make Vienna really looking good and postponed WU6 for that (and maybe other) reasons. First I thought they really did, buildings and trees are shaped very well and every building is on its place. I could even see the windows of my office and my labs. Wow! But then I have seen the bridges over the Danube river ... What the heck have they done with them ... Wrong textures and angle dependent texture morphing (water vs concrete). It's a pity. Still hoping that it is a wrong setting on my side.

2.67 Gb in maybe 9 minutes. I have seen these updates take HOURS before this. Well done Asobo.

Hi everyone! I have a question, when is the render resolution an overkill and where you don't see the difference anymore? I have a 1440p monitor and at 120 or 150 I don't see the difference visually but my GPU does 🙂 I would love everyone opinion and finding around that. Thanks!

It just reinstalled version 0.6.1 (the old one, incompatible with SU5) of FBW A32NX. Make sure you uninstall it from the content manager and use FBW Installer to download version 0.6.3

The update in Store and the 2+Gb in game is done. Then when I start there is an additional 43 mb update that creates CTD. Anyone else see this?

@ 152 GB Standard Edition with all of the World Updates and three payware addons ( PMDG Dc-6, FlyByWire Bell 47B and Carenado Seminole ), MFS is the biggest single simulator install EVER in my sim life, and this includes X-Plane with some SimHeaven and Ortho sceneries and DCS World ... Never thought ( some 20 years ago ) it would get this BIG ! Mainly used for the wonderful / unique scenery around the whole Earth, which I know very faintly IRL having travelled very few times and to just a few places out of my beloved Portugal 🙂 Planning to start a World Tour in the dc-6, but first I really have to know how to deal with that Celestial Navigation add-on and …
