Microsoft Flight Simulator (2020/2024)

I have been flying in the Pennsylvania -Ohio area today and about every 15 minutes I get a change in Altimeter settings of around 500 feet. Anyone else seeing this?

I was flying into CYVR the other day with the CRJ and I decided to record the my descend into the clouds....Simply stunning! While MSFS 2020 is far from perfect, it is still a masterpiece. I hope you enjoy! Note that the color was not edited and I only sped up the video to 3x, that's it.

I've noticed something which has come back but I can't remember what was done to fix it. Looking out the window, everything is washed out. It's impossible to make out anything unless I press space and raise the eyepoint. As soon as I put the eyepoint back too a natural positions, everything goes out again. Has anyone else seen this recur? Is it yet another present from SU5?

Since our friend SU5, I've seen some issues with the 787, just me? The HUD no longer works, the fuel cutoff switches are no longer clickable, of course the change in the spoilers. Anyone else seeing the same?

Hi Guys, Had a nice flight last night.. Came to open the program today, clicked icon to run as administrator and all it keeps doing is pointing and opening the microsoft store.. This is so frustrtating...can it just not open on the icon...at present I have lost my game.. Dave

Due to a HW problem I had to upgrade my MB, CPU and RAM. All the nVme HDs are the same. W10 recognized the machine logged into my account and promptly reactivated Windows. DCS and P3D work fine. I can access data on each M2 drive. For MSFS, my DIGITAL OWNERSHIP was missing. It took several tries to get that to download, but it finally did. Still MSFS will not launch. Reading, I have logged out and back in to the MS Store. I even uninstalled and reinstalled the MS Store. No joy. I do have a Zendesk ticket open (no response so far), but I was hoping some of our more sagacious members might be able to point me in the right direction? I’ve flown MSFS since day …

Years ago I read this about flyers and they said that the best part of flying a plane was the landing. Today I believe that because it is the landing for me. I guess that it is all the judgmental skills required to do it correctly (and not kill anyone) but the actual precision on the touchdown is what gives me the best satisfaction. I am questioning today if the new XBoxr's will get to experience or appreciate this important point but if they do then MSFS will have achieved one of it's important goals it seems. Regards bs

Paramount pictures have announced that Top Gun: Maverick has been pushed back from Nov 19 to May 27 next year and presumably the MSFS tie-in expansion gets delayed with it. I wonder if MS were given advance word of the decision so they were able to promote the Reno Air Races the Velocopter thing in place of the now MIA Carriers etc

MSFS seems to be loading 4x faster in recent days. Definitely not grumbling but wondering if anyone else noticed. Cheers bs

It has been a few months since i've flown the FBW 320 and it has much improved since the last time i flew it. However, I can't figure out my thrust lever settings. I have a Hotas Warthog and in order to get into idle, I need to move the flight lever to half way . If I idle the thrust lever, I go into reverse thrust. How do I change that? I didn't see any place to calibrate.

Have to go to where you purchased in order to update. At JustFlight: your account, your orders. Version listed to download will be the latest (list shows version and date). By the way, none of the Sensitivities adjustments in MSFS will allow for an expanded range of values for an axis (e.g. throttle RPM). AAO allows that easily. TheFrett has a G36 turbo patch that is to be used in conjunction with Robert Young's turbo mod. The patch is version .6. Has anybody used it? Does it work OK still even after the updates? I'm a little confused if I'm also supposed to use TheFrett's latest mod with it (v.64), but I'm guessing not because that would conflict with the turbo mod as they have both completely different flight dynamics. What exactly does the patch do, anyway? The GitHub page wasn't very informative other than to use it with the turbo mod (https://github.com/TheFrett/msfs_g36_project/releases/tag/0.6-tn)

I have just landed at KSFO and noticed most of the parking gates have GA type aircraft - what am I doing wrong ?

Hi fellow pilots, I noticed in the Cessna's 208 and 172, that the tapes (spd and alt) in the PFD and meters in the ND are not working. Radioknobs, NAV and CRS selectors don't function either. The gauges in the external view and the 'steam gauges work ok. First I thought that the WorkingtitleMod (from the Icon a5) was the problem, but after deleting that mod, the problem persists. Same with FSUIPC. Started MSFS without, but still the problem. Somebody plz? Or.... Am I doing something wrong? Thx for helping. Paul

After the sim latest update when I step into the cockpit of the FBW A320 (Experimental Version), when scrolling over a knob or switch, the text pops up of what that knob or switch is or does. How do you turn it off? I checked in the menu and have everything set to realistic and turned off assistance but I still get it. Also, I mentioned this before but don't think it go resolved but whenever i esc to a menu during flight and go back to the flight, my engines shut down and I can't turned them off. I checked the controls in the menu to see if esc mapped to anything else but couldn't find anything. This only started to happen after the latest update as well. …

I have successfully used and enjoyed this MOD in the past and completed several long flights, the latest being from KORD to RJAA last month, not anymore since SU5. I am running the latest update. I am experiencing the following: The IRS won't align or to be more accurate, the PFD will remain with no horizon coloured yellow/blue background, all other indications are there, the IRS is shown as green and "aligned" in the Heavy IRS FMC page, pressing "instant" align won't do anything. I have a CTD after it completes the checking for updates on startup. How have you guys fixed this problem?

I just tried to install two mods for the 787. I extracted the .zip or .rar files and put those folders into the Community folder. The livery does not appear when I launch MSFS, nor does the Heavy Division mod. What might I be doing wrong? MSFS was shut down prior to adding these to the Community folder. Thanks in advance

I recently got an XBox S and I like it. It took a bit to figure out basic flying but thats where I am - basic flying. It loaded the Pipistrel Virus which is what I was flying on the PC and when I first got to the cockpit there is a dot that can be moved around the cockpit to select(A) or deselect(B) something to be adjusted like RPMs or barometer. The problem, and my first question, revolves around the fact that as soon as you press a controller key that is mapped to something it takes away the dot. My question is "How do I get the dot back?"
