As I saw these enthusiastic notes on MSFS2020 Map Enhancement tool here in the forum, I decided to give this tool a try, too. I did one flight using the "Google Server" option in this tool and I was pleasantly surprised about the results. However, a few hours later after finishing the flight in FS2020 I opened Google Maps and to my unpleasant surprise I discovered that I no longer got satellite views in Google Maps in either Chrome nor Edge. I uninstalled the Enhancement tool again, deleted the entries in my Hosts file, restarted the PC but still no success. I fired up FS2020 and ran into the infamous "Bandwidth too low" error message. Since the enhancement too…

Hello, I'm looking for a tool that creates a kml-file showing all airports that a) got a custom treatment from Asobo, and b) I installed myself - so all the good ones basically. Lorby-SI's Add-On Organizer does that for P3D, and since I can't find the MSFS-version anywhere to download, I'm looking for an alternative, payware or freeware.

Hi, I'm looking for an inline landing analysis app for MSFS where you get a small popup window just after landing. Anyone experience with this one: https://flightsim.to/product/gees-landing-analysis-for-msfs Or are there better alternatives? Egbert Drenth

Shortly because I left for 2 weeks I recieved the famous "please insert the MSFS disc" message on startup. I was hoping for this issue to be gone when I get back. Now i get "your data cannot be synced with the cloud" on startup. I can play offline if i want to but nothing will get saved in that mode. I checked for updates in MS store and xbox live but still no change. Anything I can do about that? Is there currently a server outage at MS? EDIT: nevermind, its gone. So are my settings anyways. love it.

Developers start to embrace ASFS. FSHud has just released a new Beta version with ASFS integration. So now FSHud can be used with ASFS weather - which includes historical weather. Great! Who's next?

Getting pretty tired of having to re-set my settings every week or so because MSFS gets amnesia. Anyone figure out why this is happening and more importantly, how to stop it yet?

Hi All Any of you MSFS users out there able to assist. I realise this is personal preference and some of us will endlessly tinker and tweak, and some of us are happy to fly GA from default airport to default airport. But are there many things needed to make MSFS the best it can be and 'usable', or is it fairly stand alone out of the box? For example my P3d I have Envtex, Envshade, Active Sky, Orbx with their various tweaks and bits, and lots of other little bits and bobs. Is there items like this that are required for MSFS or is it all pretty much there within the sim and ready to go, all you'd need is what is preference to your style of flying (PMDG 737, a…

Been holding off buying this but the latest release looks good plus a discount doesn't hurt. Does it have Weather radar (such as it is in MSFS)?

Installation simple but needs online connection. Weather depiction matched reality (once I had set my options! Oops). Using with both frame Gen and AutoFPS mods no problems encountered. FPS, actually noticed an increase in FPS flying over Spain with FG I have 70fps. So far so good, no heavy weather as yet as I'm using real time. Video of flight here:

Curious if anyone else has the issue where if you have either the honeycomb alpha yoke plugged in or enabled in device manager that the lcd will not sleep (or pc sleep).. disabling the entry in the bios for the yoke allows sleep. The issue crept up when i went from the 3080ti to 4090 but i dont know if thats the real issue (clean video driver installs dont fix it though if you clear the driver with ddu before installing the driver, sleep does work). Just looking for confirmation that this isnt an isolated weird thing with me, i think its common? Thanks in advance

I use the Asobo Caravan to practice procedures. I fly a Grand Caravan EX with a PT6 and G1000NXI IRL While the Asobo model is reasonably accurate, I'm wondering if there's any improvements out there that I'm not finding. There's plenty of "wants", but in particular, I'm most interested in... The ITT dance... In sim, the ITT just rises to the operational temp, while IRL, the ITT rapidly rises, slows it's roll and then settles back down to operating temp. Hot starts. The ability to overtemp and blow up the engine. Hung starts. Over-torque. The BlackSquare Caravan does a good job of all this, but it's (stanchly) steam gauge. I fly gl…

Hello, I think MSFS is a great sim, but the one thing I do find lacking is a historical weather option. Since I live in Australia, with MSFS I have to do all my northern hemisphere flying in the middle of the night if I want to use live weather in MSFS. I can’t work out a way to use live weather in a historical way like Active Sky does. AFAIK Active sky isn’t an option at this time for MSFS is it? Lack of historical weather as an option really puts me off using MSFS.

The only critical issue I have with VR at the moment is the apparent scale of everything. I know the C172 is small, but it appears to be about 50% smaller than reality. For example, the door on the passenger side seems to be 1 foot away instead of 3 feet - like my arm would go right through the window from the pilot seat if I extended it. It makes it seem like I'm flying a toy model of the 172 instead of the actual thing. Does anyone else have this issue? I think (not sure) this is due to the fact that I have a smaller than average IPD (the distance between your eyes). Is there a way to compensate for this? Like a world scale or IPD config setting somewhere? Maybe a…

Instant purchase for the price also, and it is in offer now here. I love this such aircrafts. I didn´t know that this aircraft exists. A tribute for that Aircrafts here in MSFS, a good place to relive and maintain them also.

Not sure how I missed this one but PacSim released KGSP. Just picked it up and man it looks good! They also announced KCMH as their next one. Homebase for any NetJets pilots. Will be a must buy for sure. Scenes for pilots who deviate from the norm. - PacSim Online (islandsim.com)

I use the Fenix A320 and I’ve started using a second monitor for showing the PFD and other displays as pop out windows. I have to do this anew for each window for each flight: fiddly and time-consuming. Seems strange that MSFS / Fenix cannot recall my settings and reapply them automatically. A quick search online suggests that there might be “managers” for this situation but they all look a bit clunky. Am I missing something? Or will I just have to experiment with yet more clunky add ons? If so, which is the best?
