Microsoft Flight Simulator (2020/2024)

After a Win 10 update there's been a bit switch somewhere that is preventing MS from updating... Its not that it gets hung on the MS update screen, it just flashes it on the screen and then bypasses it so I never get past V1.36.20. Sim works fine but is a down-rev which makes Multiplayer impossible. I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling with same exact issue. Something is hung in there. I'm now willing to start from scratch but not even sure how to wipe out everything as FS2020 seems like it IS a virus at this point. Store, X box, X box bar, etc... I've dipped in and out of using DLSS/DLAA with DX12, and never really stuck with it, mainly because of the odd shimmering around the inside of the windshield and the smearing of the digits on the PFD and ND etc.in the PMDG 738. However, I followed to the letter, information in a YT video that was part of a thread elsewhere on the forum and have been really impressed with the results. I've seen a small increase in performance by using DLSS with DLAA, certainly worth having, but mostly a big increase in quality. I tried to load the Flightbeam LFBO Toulouse Blagnac scenery this morning, and it froze on the loading screen. This happens every now and again with various airports, and a reboot of MSFS always resolves the issue. Unfortunately, this solution did not work this time. I suspected that there must be a conflict between the Flightbeam scenery and one of the more recent airports that I have installed, so I did a bit of detective work.... .....and I have discovered that there is a conflict between Flightbeam LFBO and ORBx ENTO Torp Sandefjord on my PC. For the PMDG 737-800, can someone please tell me, if I should use SimBrief or another software to get real weather updates for my flight path from Departure Airport to Destination Airport? Just curious if there are any A320 Overhead panels out there compatible with MSFS (preferably Fenix) that are plug and play that don't require a full blown A320 Home cockpit or MIP. Something like a standalone over head panel with a mount or stand. Everything I have seen seems to be for full cockpits, Skalarki for example. Is there anything out there or is there anything in the plans for the future that has been announced?

I am giving the 'new' AIG a try. I only fly in Europe and so I clicked on the Europe quick install button. This gives me 107 simobjects, 49 flightplans and no traffic (with FSHud) apart from 3 planes somewhere in the sky. I probably need to download a LOT more European flightplans but I wonder if there is a list somewhere that tells me which ones to download for Europe only...? I have no clue... I don't want to download the entire world because that will only make the MSFS loading times longer. I really only need 'everything' that flies in Europe. And btw the Global quick load preset: does that contain everything or is that for flightplans that cover the entire worl…

Hello, I have a copy of the FTSim sound pack for the base Maddog MD-82 that I downloaded some time ago. This was prior to the release of the MD-83/-88 expansion so it doesn't work on these models out of the box, though with some file manipulation is can be made to do so. My question for any current FTSim subscribers, has there been an update to the MD-82 soundpack to work with the expansion models more directly/without editing? I'll happily subscribe if so for the sake of ease, but I can't tell looking at their site. Thanks for any help.

My sailplane won't take off when attached to aero tow via a Cessna 172...all the instruments are on...the tow rope is attached... the sailplane is resting on one wing...there is no fellow holding the wing up level...giving it the gas doesn't help...what am I doing wrong?...using MSFS on a gaming computer fully updated...

This evening I decided to open up AIG's AI Manager to install a few extra liveries. All went according to plan. I then decided to click on the Red button "Repair missing Paints" just to check all was in order. Process ran Ok until I reached the Airline NordStar, It required a manuaI download, so I selected Ok. A blank webpage opened and then a few more pages flashed up followed almost immediately by a pop-up message in the bottom right of my screen warning I have a virus and must click a button to clean. Hey, Before I am hit with a hail of 'works fine for me', I know this is probably an extremely local issue that is down to something really specific on my setup. Recently set up MSFS again and started noticing a very consistent crash every time I pressed Exit to Menu from a flight. I'd see a faint picture of the load screen, would freeze and then do a clean crash-to-desktop. Only when going back to menu. I started troubleshooting, removing addons, temporarily removing stuff from the community folder and noticed disabling / unlinking GSX solved it. "Oh, it's GSX" I thought. Then I realized disabling the RealTurb program running in tray would also solve it, even wh…

I have a wireless keyboard and a wired mouse, since the MSFS20 release I'm having some input lags, it's an unsolved problem. The joystick is working normally, no lags. Is there any lucky guy there that can help with this annoying problem?

I've never known a time like this in our hobby. In recent weeks, I've bought JF's Vulcan and BAe 146, Burning Blue's Farnborough and Old Warden ( now with free airshow add-on ), Flying Iron's Me-109G and yesterday AzurPoly's Bronco. All this on top of perennial payware favourites, plus all the freeware aircraft, airports, repaints and utilities. Just got my new PC and I started to do some testing and all I can say is...WOW! More testing to come showcasing the 7800X3D with the 4070 TI Super. Test Scenario: - Fenix A320 V2 - FlyTampa KBOS with VERY bad weather and lots of clouds. - 1440p Ultra Wide - LOD 150 - Settings mostly ULTRA with some HIGH. *For some reason, when using DX12, I get some CTDs... Test Results: *Note that these test results are WITHOUT FG. - Using Frame Gen I get ~110 FPS.

I was wondering if and how you can switch to viewing an AI aircraft in MSFS? Like the P3D command View->Change View-> AirTraffic and then selecting a call sign. FSX had a similar option. Nico
