Microsoft Flight Simulator (2020/2024)

Anyone finding on climb out after starting from the gate the whole sim just freezes and is unrecoverable? (can still hear sound but computer is just frozen). Has happened now with me in the Fenix at least 3 times, maybe some other aircraft too though....

Hey, Currently setting up an MSFS installation and remembered I had quite a few airport overlaps last time of default and addon airports. I know MSFS Addon Linker has a function to search out duplicates, which is great, problem is when you right click and do a "Delete files", it'll just redownload the ones you've deleted upon start. The only way of stopping this, I've discovered, is leaving the folder but just deleting the contents. However, doing that to 10-15 folders perhaps is just a bit annoying, especially if you constantly have to be over it in case of updates. Hi, I'm having a problem with some high elevation aiports, that no matter how soft I land, volanta, A pilot's life, or LRM always detect a 350-500 FPM touchdown. Is very frustrating to do a flight, watching your IVSI go from 750 fpm to 100-200 FPM when you flare and still get a "hard landing": I ussualy land in SCCF and SPZO,both with an elevation of > 7000 ft. I'm using fenix a320 btw. Any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks

Seems I have flown in and out of Dunedin (NZDN) a couple of times this week and there does not seem to be any METAR Information provided in MSFS...the same with Simbrief, the METAR shows "NZDN no valid Metar found". Anyone else?

I got the Azupoly Bronco and they did a very nice job on it, but I'm having trouble figuring out what to assign the throttle and prop axis to in Spad.NEXT for the Honeycomb Bravo. If anyone has done this, I'd appreciate some guidance. Thanks!

I have discovered that this plane has a Tutorial folder containing a pln and flt file. Is there no textual description for this tutorial describing the steps and what to do ?

I heard from some that it's possible to with YourControls. Has anyone tried it with the latest version and can comment on whether it works well or not?

I want to use Add On Linker to link files in the Community Folder to a folder on a new external hard drive. The online video advice I've seen starts from the assumption that you do not have Add On Linker previously installed so are starting from scratch linking each file in the Community Folder to a folder on a new external hard drive. In my case, I already have Add On Linker previously installed linking the Community Folder to an Add On Folder on the internal hard drive. Over and above the airports that need adjustments to the runway centreline markings, these are just a handful of improvements that I would like to see..... RD Presets EHRD Rotterdam - I do not have this airport, but the official trailer and other videos indicate to me that it needs a significant upgrade. Do anyone know how to deactivate the Dune start up expansion screen? it's very irritating that I have to resize my screen every time I start MSFS. It looks like it ignores my windowed mode setting no matter what I resize to. Any assistance is much appreciated. Regards

Do we have any idea if Asobo will ever add support for proper triple screen support? Currently, only the main(middle) monitor has full refresh rate

Do you expect a mass shift from MSFS2020 to MSFS2024, like from FSX to MSFS2020? I wonder if we will be able to jump back and forth between the two for some period of time. Surely Microsoft/Asobo will not abandon MSFS2020 anytime soon. Thoughts? How about the major 3rd party guys, do you think they will shift priorities to the newer sim? Just wondering. . . All of a sudden, my sim is stuck on the loading screen after you chose the aircraft, origination and select "fly". It acts like it is loading, the progress bar moves almost all the way to the end, then stops. This is the first it has ever happened. I thought the sim was corrupt, so I re-installed MSFS from scratch. My community folder is empty as well. Any ideas??

So this is only for XBOX, what about PC users? Two weeks for a tentative release(30th) and there's nothing more for PC users?

I'd like some help on this issue (sorry if it has been answered elsewhere). Pretty much like it says in the title. I use a TV connected to GPU via HDMI 2.1. Whenever I leave MSFS open for a while, and the TV goes to standby, the sound is lost when I return. This doesn't happen with other apps e.g. Chrome. Does anybody else have this? Any solutions? Sometimes I don't feel like restarting the sim when doing several sessions the same day, as it takes so long to start. Or perhaps I just want to take a break from a flight and come back. Can't because the sound is gone.

Is there an easy way for the average user with no scenery editing experience to just simply remove some misplaced autogen tree or house ?

What is the difference between the two? I have been avoiding the Marketplace but decided to jump in again to buy Cockspur's Mustang. Well this is a new one for me, tried to start MSFS from Add on linker as usual then got a demand to Press Any Key To Start - did that and Xbox login box popped up, clicked that and back to Press Any Key To Start & up popped up the Xbox login again, ad infinitum. Tried to start though Xbox app, same loop - tried to start through MS store, same loop - tried to start from Icon selecting run as administrator, same loop. Have searched on here for "Press any key to start loop" with no success, can anybody point me in the direction of a fix please?

really like this small airport, not sure how accurate this is, but it looks really good. However, maybe someone else has the same problem....it's not optimized for AI traffic. Someone else has this product and can confirm lake of departures and arrivals. Planes parking in the terminal ( A12 ). Have asked them on discord, but I had the same with Jackson hole. On both these sceneries AI planes are just disappearing after landing. If they can make this work, then I would say this scenery is excellent, but now....
