Microsoft Flight Simulator (2020/2024)

Has anyone tried and had success with converting and using a simple USB volume knob as trim wheel in MSFS?

For people who are interested: You can use FSHud with Simple Traffic In my many experiments it creates much more traffic and the performance is way better then FSLTL / AIG. Just install Simple Traffic and select only BGL in traffic settings. Cons: - The downside is that all the planes have pointy noses, but for me that is not a problem. (It uses default Asobe with different paintjobs) - Also the traffic is not live, but it is a really believable environment with the right planes / liveries at right airports. Hi all, I'm having a very strange issue with fs2020 (ms store version). At launch, during "checking for updates" it doesent find any updates. Then it asks me to set up everything again like it's a fresh new install (lost controller settings, graphics and so on). Then "updates available" on top right corner, it reboots and all the same again. Or it simply gets stuck with the background image without even showing the menu'. What happened? I'd like to solve it without having to reinstall everything. This morning everything was working fine.

Anyone seen this. Is it supposed to be any good.

I've read the threads about this happening before (delete from content manager, reinstall, restart computer, restart sim, etc). I've done all of that, but for some reason, the 787 isn't showing up anymore. I noticed it after updating today... This is the first time anything like this has happened since first installing the sim. Any suggestions?

Given the known issue with the broken taxiway edge lights in MSFS2020, I was wondering if anyone knows if they will be repaired in this MSFS2024. Very unrealistic situation so far and not fixed even after 4 years.

found today that the Autofps program 0.4.2.16 is connecting to MSFS ( green ) but simconnect and session are not connected ( red). Tried loading a flight several times but it does not work. Anyone has the same problem?

Hello all! This is for RTX 4XXX series owners.... Which do you use and find better with less artifacts? Lossless Scaling Frame Generation (LSFG) or the default Frame Generation (FG)?

Is this a common problem or is it just me? I didnt change any settings and didnt install anything, but since yesterday the sim lags roughly every 30 seconds with a 3 second freeze. It happens each time when MSFS is running, also in the menus when there is no flight active. What could i have a look at?

Today I have tried to update to 1.37.19.0. The install first opened the "Accessibility Settings" menu - pressing Next started the update proces, but it got stuck at 89% (only missing 1 package). I waited for a very very longtime, and then restarted the sim, but know it won´t resume downloading and says "Please wait....." with 0 kb downloaded. I have remaned my community folder and tried again to no avail. I can see that in my MSFS2020\Packages\Official\OneStore\.fscontent\ folder there is a file called "asobo-airport-eham-amsterdam", which I asume is a package file that should be decompressed, but isn´t. Yes that is my internet download speed (I checked it just now) not real fast but not too shabby - however according to MSFS2020 I don't have enough bandwidth for data streaming. But it did download today's update. So what is going on? Bruce

Had a couple of happy flights this morning in the CFM Fenix and then swapped to the IAE for a quick hop to Santorini. Put the beacon on and waited for pushback at FlyTampa LGAV but nothing happened. Everything is ready to go, chocks are off, APU is running but the pushback guy just stands there looking at me. Eventually restarted Couatl and the aircraft jumped a tiny bit in the air and then came up with ‘use man pitch trim’ so I suspect it thinks it’s airborne. No way to get out of this state without restarting the sim. Is it an IAE thing with SU15?

Anyone know how to get rid of those shimmering lines around the spoilers that I have noticed since SU15. You can see them on this video I took

Hi all, today I wanted to perform a flight on my MSFS 2020 Store version, updated a couple of days ago, but just after the update check, it showws a box with a message saying something like (mine is in Italian language) " It's too early, Microsoft Flight Simulator is not available yet to be played. Check on Microsoft Store the launch date". It sounds to me like if I was trying tu launch MSFS 2024, but I did not! Any idea? Thanks. Mauro

The Fenix A320 comes with a navdata database in SQL. I am able to open and read it with TablePlus, but I am not sure how to customize it. I would like to add my own approach to a specific airport. I've read that someone has been able to do it, but I am unable to find any info on how to do so.

Who is gonna make a Shrike Commander? Guess if you want to test the physics of the sim someone make a good shrike commander and figure out what the weather is in one of the videos and the field Mr. Hoover is performing at and see how close you can get 😉 Happy Landings
