Microsoft Flight Simulator (2020/2024)

I have 7k custom made desktop with RTX 4090 + I9 14900K, 48GB RAM, Windows 11. Every driver is to update. Inbuild sceneries and their A300/310 has been the worst performance out of all the developers. When I ran PMDG, Fenix, Leonardo, FSS Embraer, all perform wonderfully. Inibuild has been horrendous in terms of performance. I hope their upcoming A350 won't be like that. Does anyone else have fps issues with their sceneries and the A300?

Inibuilds INIR24 F1 car in Flight Simulator, cool, but why ??, there's all kinds of racing sims, heck ...if we're going that route let have vintage F1...Lotus 77', Ferrari 312T2, McLaren M23, a "Rush" movie pack, there was a scene at the end where Lauda and Hunt were talking around a lear jet, lol.

Please check if I get this right, need some "peer reviews" here, thank you. Landing the widowmaker has been a hit and miss to me. Sometimes my sorties were satisfying sometimes they were disastrous. In the last couple of weeks my landings have been better. The keypoint is not to flare nor reduce speed on final (do it slightly if you have to). Just hit the tarmac ASAP, forget about butter landings, just hit the runway, cut throttle and hit the brake. Most of the time no drag chute is required. So, keep the RPM at 85-88% (in fact RPM stays at that perimeter at cruise, descent, until touchdown). This always works although not sure the proper way (I would love to learn). You …

For me I'd list: - Scenery detail allover the World ! - Default functionality of services at airports - Default ATC and AI, even if these days I use FSHUD and FSLTL ( among my preferred addons EVER! for any sim I have used...) - Default detailed aircraft - even with their quirks ... - Unique integrated checklist system

Just now I purchased the France VFR northwest package to do some sightseeing in the area. The package contains LFGR, but I already own this airport separately. Is there a way to disable the LFGR in the France VFR package? Both products were purchased in the marketplace.

I have been away from MSFS a while and just starting enjoying it again. I am a little shocked that the water color is way wrong in certain areas of the world. For example, the river Thames and surrounding lakes and rivers are not sky blue in color in real life. We are talking tropical blue. This is true of many rivers and lakes etc. where they never appear that blue in real life anywhere in the world. Is there a way to change this, or is this something we are stuck with? I realize that they may be reflecting the sky, but that just isn't the way it looks in the air most of the time in real life. Sometimes it looks so bad I kinda want to turn it off lol! This will not be news to some readers, but it may be useful for others. Knowing that I needed more space for MSFS2020, which I have had on a 500 GB internal hard drive that was close to full, I had thought about getting an external plug-in drive as the easiest way to solve the problem. I have been reluctant to do this because of the assumption that performance would suffer, compared to what one sees on an internal drive. This has certainly been true in the past, but I can testify that this is no longer the case. When planning a VFR flight between two airports the MSFS flight planner (and also Little Navmap and Plan-G) give the frequencies for the departure and arrival airport. But how do I know what the frequencies en route are, in case I want to use FSS for flight following or come across a class D airspace? Default ATC will give them through the menu of course, but how can I know them in advance?

Since I have been unable to launch the program in several weeks (and I understand others are in the same situation) I'm wondering if anyone knows the planned release date of the next version.

I now use FlightSave for saving and loading all my flights in MSFS2020. This handy app will let you save any flight and set a marker on its map. Loading flights are easlly done by just clciking a marker on the map. It comes with an autosave functions and is ideal when you want to refly some parts of your old flights. Works with all airplanes.

I tried reinstalling it but still the same bug persists. I have tried so far: -Sync the correct time in Win11 -Delete the cloud saves -Load the .exe under admin/compatibility for Win7/8, -Steam -FastLaunch option -Unplugged all USB/ USB-C devices -Delete all folders from Steam Version -Reinstalled Steam on another drive -Updated Nvidia Drivers/Win11 as well. -Checked for file’s integrity under Steam settings. I am running out of options and my last resort is to buy another MSFS from Win App Store…

Some painters get their paint to appear first in your aircraft list and override every other paint for that aircraft. I still prefer having the default model be at the top of the list. How do you change that, does anyone know? Lee

I don’t know about anyone else, but I miss the old school T-Props that were available in FSX and P3D. Here’s my “wish list” of those aircraft I would like to see in MSFS. I know the chances are very slim that any will be developed. So, in no particular order (with the exception of the first two): Vickers Viscount Vickers Vanguard Swearingen Metroliner Fokker 50 NAMC YS-11 Convair 580 Lockheed L188 Hawker Siddeley HS748 There are probably some that I’m forgetting 🙂

I'd like to assign a drone view to a button on a controller, so I can toggle between the drone view and the cockpit view using the button. I've found out how to assign cockpit views to buttons, but that obviously doesn't help because I want the button to select a drone view. And I can assign a button to activate the drone, but then I have to slew the camera around to where I want it, so that doesn't help either. Is there such a thing as assigning drone views to buttons? Thanks.

I mean, since it is so tightly tied to SimBrief, do you always have to create your VFR flightplan there or is there a way around?

Just picked up KSAV this morning. I departed runway 1 and there were some huge bumps in the scenery. I have no other KSAV installed and I don't have a KSAV bgl for the blacksquare taxiways. Anyone else notice this?
