Hi, When making an ILS or RNAV approach the glideslope display does not appear on the EADI. The "AN" (angle of attach) is still on the EADI display (and works). I've made test with other aircrafts and it works perfectly. (and it worked with the PC12 before) ??? Thanks .

  6. Before anyone has a go at me. I am a meteorologist and RW GA pilot. My hopes for significant upgrades to the atmosphere and cloud dynamics have been severely dashed after watching the latest MSFS 2024 trailer. All very disappointing if you were wishing for a proper simulation of atmospheric haze/aerosol depiction and convective showers from realistic convective clouds. It is obvious from a meteorologist and RW pilots point of view the devs have very little to no understanding of basic meteorology regardless of the fact that live weather is based on NEMS output. 1. I have seen little to no evidence of inclusion of atmospheric haze/aerosol density apart from pat…

  9. started a flight (pmdg 738) everything worked fine. could disengage brakes, steer with a tiller, rudders worked fine. landed 5 hours later and couldn't stop. brakes didn't work, rudder didn't work. rudder pedals and brakes look fine in msfs controls, and in external view they work fine as well. Tried this with PMDG, Fenix, and Piper Arrow, all with the same effect. I feel like I might have triggered some feature that I didn't know about? I restarted the machine as well, same thing. I guess I should reinstall, but was wondering if anyone has had this happen? thx mb

Windy.com purchased a majority stake in metro meteoblue who as we all know provides weather for MSFS. Windy is a great app so I see it as a win long term. Press release below: Basel, Switzerland 12.6.2024 – Windyty, S.E., the operator of the renowned global weather service Windy.com, is thrilled to announce the acquisition of a majority stake in meteoblue, A.G., a Basel based company well known for its highest accuracy weather forecasting services. This strategic move further strengthens Windyty, S.E.’s position as a leader in the global weather forecasting industry. CEO of meteoblue and co-founder, Dr. Karl Gutbrod, stated: "This partnership is a step change mi…

After the release of SU15, several Community members have been working on figuring out the new WT G3X release and its integration options in "Experimental Aircraft".. TDS has stated that it is working on a G3X GTN750Xi option for the SWS RV14, and while this work is going on we have been able to make the RV14A GNS530 work well enough to release it as an unsupported mod for SWS RV14 owners to try. Unzip the attached and drop it into the Community folder. Then select an RV14A with a GNS530 in the panel and take it for a spin! https://www.dropbox.com/scl/fi/9gig27em2dw9oh8ax9uhv/Van-s-RV14-zz-SU15-GNS-V2.4.zip?rlkey=mqr7kq3kuqs3eq48muizupc39&st=gpc1g2e0&a…

Checked on the net, but cant find the answer I am looking for. Say your plane gets redirected to a closer airport BEFORE taking off. How much fuel can be burned by reeving the engine, before the plane has to go back and have the fuel dumped somewhere. and where does the plane go for that to happen. I have heard it can take 2 to 3 hours to dump excess fuel at the airport

  14. Did a small circuit in the Waco CG-4 and really like it! Very nicely modelled, including the flight dynamics, which was a surprise to me! For the promotional sale price it's an even better purchase. Ah!!! Great!!! Check: https://www.avsim.com/forums/topic/645448-for-those-interested-in-the-80th-normandy-commemoration/

Although not limited to the F-4 Phantom, P-47 Thunderbolt, and P-51 Mustang, are legendary aircraft, and it would be fantastic to see them brought to life in MSFS with all their potential. Ideally, development would fall into the hands of teams that can accurately capture their unique flight characteristics and historical significance. In my view, ideally, the teams that make these planes for MSFS would totally nail the flight mechanics and history. Probably experienced devs proven by the aging FSX veterans. That way, us simmers can truly fly these legends (in short lived MSFS 2020) like they deserve!

As November is not that far away, I was thinking of what needs to be done to make the transition to a new sim. Specifically, I'm thinking about what needs to be done with the current community folder and all the stuff that is in there currently. I use AIG so there will be some stuff that needs to be moved or pointed to the new installation. I guess hardware controls and buttons will need to be re-mapped as well. Anyone else thinking about this kind of stuff yet?

Hi guys! Since the start of MSFS I am mostly using the FlyByWire A32nx. Lately I added the LVFR birds with the HorizonMod, which mostly gives the same experience. Next to that I have some hardware, like a Skalarki FCU, Thrustmaster TCA sidestick/throttle/add-on and rudder peddals. I mostly do short flights (approx. 1 hour). I create a flightplan in MSFS and will be in the air in no-time. When Fenix came out, I did not buy it because my Skalarki hardware was not supported. I watched the product evolve over time and now with 3rd party hardware support, GSX integration (seated pax), Sim FX with the A320 effects coming I am reconsidering. I do not intend t…

  21. Hi!, All flight simmer out there please help me I am unable to bring any SIMBRIEF f/plan into the FMC of the new a320v2. However, I can import plans on the EFB Home page and work on some other pages but the FMC or MCDU whatever you call it. I put my pilot ID correctly in the EFB and in my SIMBRIEF Account USER name is different than the pilot ID although I tried the USR Name as well but did not work the FMC. Please kindly tell me if I have missed anything in setting. Thanks a lot

Wow! This looks awesome: https://parallel42.com/products/a320-immersion It will support all of the A320s in the sim (although some effects will be missing from the LVFR planes apparently). I never owned P3D, but back in the day I always thought their effects add-ons looked excellent, and was really eager to have something similar in MSFS. Looking at the videos on the page in the link above (scroll down), it looks like they've far surpassed the level of the effects in P3D!

  24. I'm surprised this hasn't been discussed extensively here yet. But a lot of people recognize the EFB used in the A330 in the MSFS 2024 trailer looks a lot like the EFB layout iniBuild uses: You can see more photos from this Reddit thread that discusses this: There is no official confirmation that the A330 in MSFS 2024 is from iniBuilds. But take a look at that Reddit thread, the photos in it, the photos of the A330 EFB in the MSFS 2024 trailer, and make your own judgement.

  25. Hi flyers I have seen a number of youtube videos regarding both the above excellent aircraft add on products for FS2020. I am interested to hear owners' experiences of these products in terms of which you think is 'better' specifically in terms of: a) Cockpit visuals b) General flight dynamics and handling 'realism' c) Pure IFR procedures e.g. SIDs, STARs and ILS approaches. I frame my question above in terms of I only intend to purchase 1 of these multi engine products.
