Microsoft Flight Simulator (2020/2024)

Why can't I buy from the Marketplace? I did manage to make couple of a successful purchases a year or so ago but over the past several months when I hit Buy all I see is "Purchase In Progress". And that's it. I can let it sit there for hours and nothing happens. I prefer to buy addons outside of the Marketplace but right now there is a decent sale on a couple of aircraft that I would like to get. Anyone else having this problem?

Hi, I use Addons Linker to launch MSFS Steam version. The annoying thing is that Steam's windows with publicity are displayed. Is there any way to start Steam with it's windows minimized? Thanks in advance

Hello all, I have been using the Fenix EFB T/O performance calculator ever since and most of the time, the calculations seemed to be reasonable. Yesterday, I flew out of Oaxaca Xoxocotlan Intl airport in Mexico (by the way, the scenery by Dreamflight Studios is amazing!), which sits at an elevation of 5000 feet. This place is basically like Denver in the summer, but with one half to one third of the runway length. Before departure, I used the following parameters for my T/O calculation (A320 IAE): Runway = MMOX 01 TOW = 65543 kg OAT = +31°C Wind = (amounted to ~9 kts crosswind) Flaps = 1 A/C = packs off The EFB returned values of Flex = 55, V1 = 13…

I take it FS HUD will work with p3dv5 and was wondering if my traffic global from just flight will inject traffic into FS HUD ?

The clue that the C-47 won't start is that the "marshaller" doesn't appear off the left wingtip of the glider. I tried many different configs of the sim and have narrowed it down to something in a scenery library. I deleted all sceneries but let the libraries load and the marshaller still didn't appear. Don't know exactly which one yet, still checking. Thought I'd give a heads up to getting your glider in the air. It's a tough go for anyone who thinks they're a "hot stick". I'll update when I isolate the offending library or libraries. Anyways, good luck and have fun. Terry

I do not know how many have tried this gauge yet, but I now have it working in my RV14A and it is really nice! After watching a video of an RV14A owner demonstrate how he uses it in flight, I was able to repeat every step, including clicking on the target altitude and keying in the value (same with heading).. Super convenient! It is still in beta and the communication with the GNS530 is a bit hit and miss for now, but it is actively being worked on, so fingers crossed for a stable release when SU15 goes live!

Hello Gang! So now that SU15 is out, which Airbus A320 do we keep in the hangar. I know we can keep both, the original and the new one by Inibuilds.....and the FBW.......but it does not make a lot of sense to keep more than one if one is better than the others......space alone might be an issue. Any ideas what the consensus might be here? Thanks

Popout a Garmin to a window. Or open an overhead handle window, e.g. the "vfr map". Drag to another monitor. There is now 0 loss of f.p.s. None at all ! When did this change happen? There used to be a huge performance loss (unless your cpu had a graphics port out to run the other monitor). I just tried this on a bunch of different planes to verify. BTW, if you point to the new auxiliary window and ALT ENTER then the aux map or whatever will full screen but no change in the MSFS window. (Full screen is nicer for a Garmin for instance).

Is there any way to keep FG on when the MSFS window doesn't have the focus? I'm guessing this isn't possible within MSFS, but maybe there's a utility or something that can make this possible?

Who uses these tools alongside FSLTL? I have just downloaded them to test out, but AIflow looses connection after around 2-3 mins and tells me its a simconnect bug and to restart MSFS/? Also, what's the best settings to use with these tools? Seems like a myriad of choices!

I'm wondering if I'm doing something wrong on the cabin temp control on the Duke. I'm flying at FL260 with an OAT of -30C. I have the cabin temp mode set to Auto Heat, vent blower on high and the desired setpoint for cabin temp at 75F. However, the cabin temp is slowly falling and is currently in the mid 40's F. Am I doing something wrong or is the heater just not able to keep up at these flight levels and OAT's?

As I don't have pedals and have no plans to acquire them I put nose-wheel steering and rudder on an old Cessna Trim Wheel. The only issue I can think of is that you can't control the sensitivity individually for nose-wheel and rudder, so have to find a happy medium. I think Airbus 320 would only use rudder while on the ground so it seems fine there, but so do my other 3 planes in use. For these commercial airliners what would be a downside to this in the RW?

I am on the latest version of GSX 3.0.2 and am using the Fenix A320. In the config file I have selected 'seating passengers loading aircraft' and have ticked the box for the Fenix A320, hit close and then exit. I have unticked and reticked and rebooted many times , but it does not make a difference. Whether I spawn at a default or third party airport, I select either jetways or stairs - and they appear and then just disappear. Why? and then I can do nothing further with GSX. Clearly, I must be doing something wrong..................so if it is me...................can you shed some light on what changes I need to make to get GSX working as it is supposed to.

If I enter only the departure gate/ramp in the MSFS World Map planner and launch the flight, then use the plane's Simbrief import routine via the FMC after importing via the EFT, MSFS ATC never gives me the option to use the IFR route in the FMC but instead forces me to announce a taxi to takeoff straight out or directional, then at the threshold gives me the option to REQUEST TO CLEARANCE VFR FROM TOWER. The other planes I use give me the option of an IFR flight in the FMC and only the PMDG doesn't. I can use the World Map planner and input an IFR plan there and ATC works correctly. Any ideas if there is anything else I can do to make ATC offer the IFR option when…

does not work here. I have the latest update (SU15 and BSQ) installed. Is there anything within the MSFS/Asobo what I have to install/uninstall to get the Garmin to function?

The "checking for updates" screen is shown and the icon isnt rotating (freeze). Is there any server outage on MS' side? A few hours ago MSFS started normally....
